Emily Bex is the International Best Selling author of the epic six book Medici Warrior Series. As she says, “Why start small?” She worked for over twenty years in marketing, developing ad campaigns, catalogs, product launches and promotional literature. She figured if she could write creatively about products, then surely she could write something about these characters that were rattling around inside her brain. She currently lives in Virginia, but has used her extensive love of travel, both foreign and domestic, to create the backdrop for her characters to play out their story.
The fourth installment of the Medici brings about new love interests, revenge, karma, and new beginnings. Several years have passed since the huge battle between Shade, Kate, and Max. Life has been quiet and pleasant for the family. Now, a new Medici will enter the picture. Shade’s and Kate’s love will grow deeper. Lorenzo, their son will take on new lessons in life. Luka’s and Shannon’s relationship will grow deeper and more connected. Raven and Mica will take their relationship to the next level as well. Cory’s life will be forever changed~ Alec will run for the Presidency…but it will cost him more than he bargained in the end~ Rissa, karma will bite back in unexpected ways! Max will get his revenge but at what cost?! Shade will take on much more responsibility and will have to continue to fight to protect his Familia. Emily Bex writes a world that we become so immersed in…it is as if we are there! We feel their love, accomplishments but also the horrors they experience~ these books are about family and the deep bonds forged between friends~ What will be in store for the Medici’s next? And all the other player’s in the game? I do believe many characters that appeared in this book have made plans for the future to infringe upon the Medici Empire, one way or another! Now we wait…I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
This series just keeps getting better. This is the 4th book in the series and I need more. Loving the world Emily has created for us. Definite must read... but be sure you start from book 1.

Do you know that one person that always goes down into the dark basement of horrors in a haunted house despite all your spider senses screaming run, run, run. That would be me and the nature of practically every main character in this book.
There is zero growth for many of the players towards discerning danger and ill intent. In fact the hero Shade is still as gullible as the day he was conceived despite being a strategist and a cunning warrior for centuries, yet book after book he still manages to retain that same level of gullibility.
There is one main gift that that the family sorely lacks and that would be the gift of INSIGHT. Hope the third child gets it. Now that would be the rarest of gifts because none of the characters possess it and the series desperately needs it.
Both expands and contracts the world of the Medici Warriors
Kate, the Medici Queen, has taken Shade, her vampire warrior and king, by surprise yet again with how she is handling her transition to vampire and now mother. As the story progresses the surprises keep coming, a change is inevitable, and letting down their guard could mean the end of everything they hold dear. Fall from Grace allows the reader to see the inner struggles that plague even the tightest of families. Emily Bex both expands and contracts the world of The Medici Warrior Series with this fourth book, be prepared to both cheer them on and curl into a ball as you travel with them along this journey.
I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Emily Bex has done it again. Fall from Grace is book 4 in the Medici Warrior series. Step into the world of the Medici, meet Kate and her quiet strength with her heart that knows so much love. Shade, her husband, so fierce, strong and protective. You will laugh and you will cry with each of the amazing characters and find a surprising twist or two to keep you on the edge of your seat. I finished the book in two days and am already hungry for the next book in the series. Truly an unforgettable read.

DO NOT read this book if you haven't read the previous. I really want Lorenzo's dog Warrior. Who is Shade's son who adorable 🤣 Their are a few couples in this story and Shade is my mIn forcus cause he is the King of my heart and of course Kate too. Emily created a complex and dangerous lustful world. If you love vampire this is for you. Me at the moment not in a vampire mood at the moment. I think I would enjoy it more if I was I a mood for vampire but it was beautifully written. Just mind is like this not Mafia or MC romamce what's going on !
Really recommend to every vampire romance lover !!
Share and Kate's son whom is just three years old is amazing. He is reading 12th grade stuff. He knows alot, but it doesn't take from him being a boy. I fell in love with him just reading this book. Then a girl is born. She calls herself princess and has to have a crown on all the time. They have their hands full. Then Rises is back. The excitement , all the coven, and keeping up with everything a d everyone. You will just call in love more with this series of books. Definitely a books to read over and over. Emily Bex, the author is amazing the way she writes.
This epic journey continues with emotion, suspense and a deeper love. Paranormal at it's finest! New and old characters remain prominently throughout. Bex has a great hand at weaving a story that leaves a deep craving for more and more. Each book in this series grows with intensity and deepening of character insight. Highly recommend.

Loving this series!! The Love, the intrigue, the twists and turns that this family comes to face and I’m all about it!! I feel as though this series is a fine glass of wine that I’ve had the opportunity to savor. So good!!! Be sure to read this book & series!! I highly recommend to begin from book 1, The Blood Covenant!
Emily has done it again! Book four... wow! Ive laughed, cried, got angry, been shock, been excited and now left in suspense for book five. You have outdone yourself again, a-ma-zing 😊
Lorenzo is about four years old so a few years have passed since book 3. Max seeking revenge, Alec seeking the Presidency, and Larissa seeking God knows what have major roles here. (Oh, how the mighty have fallen)
I agree with Shade that Alec seeking the Presidency doesn’t make sense. He has pretty much deserted caring for the members of his coven while focusing on his political aspirations. But as pointed out, even if he wins two terms he and Larissa don’t have a future with mortals since they don’t age and can’t reveal that they’re vampires. He doesn’t seem to have planned past winning the election.
What’s going on with Luca and Shannon? They’ve hardly been mentioned although it was indicated that they shared a suite. So, was she ever turned or just living as a human with Luca?*
I’m holding out hope that Lorenzo will practice his new gift on Larissa.
Max ponders that he has no warriors to help him get revenge on Shade, Larissa and Alec. Isn’t he still the master of Delaware and, I think, Maryland? Not that he’d have enough manpower to take on the Medici warriors but he should have a few he could call upon. I suppose the ones in Virginia either swore their fealty to Medici or moved on.
Shade is going to tell Cory that he won’t be able to continue to have sex with Madison without feeding from her. Cory may or may not be aware of this but I bet dollars to donuts that Madison hadn’t been apprised of this “little” stipulation. It would have been nice if she could have known in advance and made an informed decision. As indicated in an earlier review, what a Medici wants, a Medici gets and damn the consequences.
Well, Larissa took the secret that Max was Angel to the grave with her.
Interesting that Lorenzo hears from the sleeping warrior. There are non-fiction stories about children being able to see and/or communicate with spirits. I’m glad the real reason behind his death has been revealed. Shade wonders if the baby could be cared for by his mother’s spirit. I imagine she would have mentioned it to them when they visited Florence (since she and his dead father manage to manifest themselves to him and Kate)
Here’s a tidbit that has jarred me not only in these books but many others. When a person orgasms, the correct word is “comes.” When a male ejaculates, it’s "cum.” Get it straight, people.
How come Donatella didn’t make an appearance when Lorenzo was born only to become a probable threat at Sophia’s birth?

Fall From Grace, 665 pgs ***** 6/11/24 The Medici Family
Shade and Kate added Sophia to their family in this book. She was the spitting image of Kate but with Shade’s blue eyes. Lorenzo was still like the energizer bunny but was learning everything in leaps and bounds. He was one of the highlights in this book, I loved every page he was on.
We met Donnatella, the vampire that Shade had been arranged to mate by his father, centuries ago. She never mated and was the mistress of her Coven in Umbria and had never given up on her attempts to mate with Shade. She appeared very manipulative and underhanded. She set her eyes on Lorenzo even though he was only about 4 years old in human years. Shade nor Kate were not happy with her visits nor her gifts and attention to Lorenzo. The training camp at Bel Rossa continued to grow and expand. Lorenzo had started lessons with his sword and other abilities that were surfacing.
Luca and Shannon lived at Bel Rossa and consummated their blood vows with each other and spoke of Shannon turning after Kate’s 3rd child was born in the next few years.
Corey met a girl, Maddison, and they began their courtship under the watchful eye of Shade. Max returned with a vengeance which involved Corey and Maddison.
Alec and Rissa continue their campaign for President of the US. Rissa is still out of control with her selfishness and reckless behavior in the mortal world. She always seems to create havoc everywhere she goes. It was anything but pleasant on Alec's tours of the country while campaigning because of their volatile relationship.
This book was as good as the others, plenty of excitement, fighting, love of the family and again, is impossible to put down. I love the length of these books; it gives me joy to be able to keep reading about the same characters and their lives. What a life they all lead! I am getting a little sad knowing there are only 2 books left in this series and I’m not sure what I will do once I read those because it is very rare for me to find a series that encompasses my free time completely and enjoy every minute of it.
I have been thoroughly captivated by this story and characters since book one! So much so, that I read books one through three and then read them again out loud to my husband who is in Hospice now at home and he has enjoyed the books as well! Book four we read together for the first time and just finished! It seems strange not to have the characters as part of our nightly routine. I can only hope we get the chance to read book five together as well!
I don't know what I can say about this book that I haven't already said in my previous reviews on books one through three, except that it is equally as captivating as they were!
I have no doubt that I will be able to watch this saga someday as a movie or series, and I can't wait! Please hurry with book five, Emily!
These are quite long books compared to what you usually find in KU. The first three have a lot going on and are often repetitive. All of them are in dire need of proofreading. Book 4, this one, is very short, with minor action, just wrapping up some dangling bits from the previous books. It's rather disappointing actually, it's just a short bridge to the next book. I am now wishing I had stopped at book 3. That desire for just a little more when you finish an amazing story with characters you've fallen in love with never really happened for me in this series. I like the characters, I liked the idea behind the storyline. I just never fell in love. Three stars because there are some good things here, but altogether, it's a fairly mediocre experience.
This series is all about full immersion. The world that Emily has created is amazing and you can completely lose yourself in. The character development is well thought out and you completely fall in love with each and every one of them, except the bad ones of course. Each and every book leaves you begging for more and the book hangover after reading one of Emily's books is a very real and visceral thing. I can't recommend this series enough. Once you dive into Shade and Kate's world you never want to leave.
OMG... I absolutely loved this book. Emily Bex has become one of my favorite Authors. You will cheer for the main characters and love to hate the villains. Story lines from the previous books are resolved, But Oh My... I was not expecting that... WOW!!! Now it is on to the next chapter of their journey. If you are looking for a great read, I would definitely suggest this series. Make sure to set time aside, because these books are not quick reads. I cannot wait for the next book in the series. Happy Reading.
I just cannot get enough of Miss Bex world! I know that if you have tried any of the books within this series they have encapsulated you with the writing and stunning visuals that Miss Bex seems to m=be a master at conveying. It is dark and it is at times brutal but what it is most is engaging, absorbing, tantalizing, thrilling and most of all bloody brilliant in its explicit love for these characters! Absolutely one of the best vampire series I have read!

Every book is utterly astonishing. They are all tied together, but with every new twist and turn they almost feel like a stand-alone. Things come to and end, and then something new arises to begin a new chapter of intrigue. I love this series so much, Shade is the most amazing Vampire that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading about, and Kate is just as exceptional as well. The extended family tree just became more interesting and intriguing, leaving you to wonder where they’ll all go from here. I can’t wait to read the next book.
This story just gets better and better! Shade has a lot on his plate but so does Kate..The Prince is growing and now Sofia the little princess is born! Shade is still working for Alec and he's got trouble with Rissa! But finally she is dealt with and Kate and Shane find out what she did to them but again Alec is safe...for now! So much change! Cory finds love! Another mortal in the house! The characters in this story are all so good! LOVE THIS SERIES!!
Fall from Grace by Emily Bex has an interesting premise, but the story is frequently slowed by excessive detail and drawn‑out scenes that dilute the tension. The pacing issues make it difficult to stay fully engaged, even when the emotional stakes should be at their highest. That said, the novel does offer a growing appreciation for Alec as a character, and the friendship between him and Shade stands out as one of the more genuine and enjoyable elements of the story.
Emily Bex has done it again! She brings you into the Medici world and you will never want to leave! I loved book four! I have to say that it’s one of my favorites out of the series. There is romance, drama, suspense, murder scenes, fight scenes, steamy scenes and so much more. I stumbled onto this author quite by accident and I have been an ARC reader with her from the beginning of book one. I’m so glad that I stumbled upon her! You have to purchase all of these books and read them. You will not regret it I promise! I cannot wait for book five now!
I can’t get enough of this series. Every time I think I have the plot figured out, Emily throws me a surprise. I absolutely loved the addition of Madison in this book and cheered when Alex and Rissa got their just rewards. Just when I thought all the bad guys are gone, a new character that I love to hate was added. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
This book is simply amazing. Emily Bex has outdone herself once again. The characters seem to jump off the page and into the real world. You find yourself forgetting that it's fiction. You don't ever want the story to end. The next installment can't get here fast enough. This storyline is captivating. Don't miss it.
The best book in the series, yet! I feel like it was the perfect balance of action and lulls that kept my attention. The body of the book was more engaging than prior installments, in my opinion. There were some surprises I didn’t see coming. The author does a great job with the characters and I feel a connection to them.
I'm absolutely addicted to this series 😃. Such a wonderful legacy though time, but not always peacefully 😣. Unending action, constant pressure, crazy people and fantastic characters will keep you turning pages 😉. Thanks again Emily, it's so easy to love this story and I can't wait to read more 🤓.
