Nofel dirgelwch siecolegol ardderchog ydy hon. Mae’r cymeriadau, fel mewn llyfrau eraill yr awdur, yn aml-ochrog: does neb yn hollol dda neu drwg.
DYSGWYR: Werth ei ddarllen. Mae’r iaith yn naturiol efo llawer o ddialog mewn iaith lafar plaen.

Ardderchog. I'm from Bethesda, and the writing is in the local dialect, so it was fluent to read, even though Welsh is not my first language. The plot was a combination of suspense as well as the complexities of relationships.

This is an amazing book!
It’s on the Welsh curriculum and someone I know recommended it to me although I’m not a first-language Welsh speaker. The book is set in North Wales in a dialect different from the south where I live. It’s also written in a natural, colloquial way that abbreviates words and knocks the beginnings off some of them, but after a few pages it all made sense and it flowed with little effort on my part.
This is not a children’s book. The main characters are in the sixth form and one of their friends, pretty Gwenno from wealthy and seemingly perfect parents, has been found murdered in the slate quarry. I’d call this a psychological mystery/whodunnit, but it’s much more than that.
Shane is the narrator and we see things from his perspective. As the hunt for the killer and the reason for the killing develop, the unease grows. The relationships at school and at home are really well written without being too wordy or unrealistic and my opinions shifted many times during the course of the book.
Shane’s friend Dion says ‘Mae gan bawb eu cyfrinachau’ – everyone has their secrets – and these secrets gradually unravel until we come to the shocking truth.
Highly recommended.

Wnes i wir mwynhau darllen y llyfr dirgelwch seicolegol hyn gan Manon. Roedd en stori wnaeth dal fy sylw yn sydyn a chadw fi yna trwy gydol y stori gan ryddhau gwybodaeth mawr yn cynnil trwy'r stori. Wrth ddilyn y stori trwy lygaid Shane, gallwn gweld bod y cymeriadau i gyda yn aml-ochrog ac yn guddio gwahanol pethau o'i gilydd am farwolaeth Gwenno o'r dechrau, neb yn fwy na Shane. Hefyd dwi yn hoffi bod y llyfr yn torri trwy'r trydydd wal gyda'r darllenwyr, lle roedd Shane yn siarad yn syth iddyn ni yn lle am y stori yn enwedig yn bennod 15, lle roeddwn i'n teimlo fy mod i'n cael stwr o'r cymeriad ac roedd effaith hyn yn anhygoel i mi deimlo o gymeriad mewn llyfr. Roedd y stori hon yn un deniadol, gyda twists ac adroddwr ag oedd yn dal eich sylw trwy gydol a gwnes i wir mwynhau’r stori a byddai wrth fy modd i ddarllen rhywbeth arall gan Manon yn y dyfodol.

Dwi heb darllen llyfr Cymraeg am amser, felly roedd hi'n braf iawn i'w ddarllen. Ac rwyf yn falch ei fod o'n Llechi gan Manon Steffan Ros. Tuag at y diwedd, mae'r stori yn rhoi plot twist massive ac mae hi'n rhywbeth ni fyddech yn disgwyl!!

Mae Manon Steffan Ros yn chwip o nofelydd ac mi wnes fwynhau hon yn fawr iawn. Er hynny mae’n rhaid i mi gyfaddef fy mod wedi rhyw ddatrys y dirgelwch cyn y diwedd. Yn sicr werth ei darllen

Llyfr pwerus iawn. Dyw e ddim yn addas i blant o gwbl ond mae'n dangos i oedolion pa mor cryf ydy emosiynau pobl yn eu arddegau a pa mor bregus maen nhw'n gallu bod. Stori bythgofiadwy.

Llyfr ardderchog yn dod a cofio'n o'm arddegau a pa mor anodd mae'r blynyddoedd hynni and gallu fod. Trist iawn ond efallau fod na chyfiawnder yn y diwedd.

Considering I'm not a fluent Welsh speaker and so it took my ages to get through, it was a great book. Likeable characters and full of suspense.

Stori afaelgar, cymeriadau credadwy a gwewyr meddwl unigolyn ifanc brau wedi'i bortreadu mewn iaith naturiol. Tro yn y gynffon brawychus.
