I really liked this book. It was well written and expressed emotions well enough for me to feel them. I definitely felt the emotions and liked the self-discovery. I liked how the boy was able to talk again and it really made me kinda mad that the others at the 'community' wouldn't explain better to a little boy and wouldn't seek help with something they didn't completely understand (medical-wise). This was a good passing the time book and I would read it again. Enjoy

This is another in the Crocodile Creek series. This is the last part of the 4 book story arc around the cyclone.

Janey is a doctor in Darwin, but she is travelling to Crocodile Creek with her nephew after the death of his mother in an alternative lifestyle community not far from Crocodile Creek. She believes that the boys father is based at the medical centre there. When a road slip tips over the bus, Janey is injured and the boy goes missing, along with another child whose story is told in the previous book.

Luke is shocked when he recognises his sister-in-law who he worked with for several years before his sudden romance and marriage to her vibrant sister. The marriage didn't last and his wife left him, taking their son and vanishing. Now he has an opportunity to find out what happened to them and maybe reconnect with his son.

This is an interesting story about two people who had a connection years ago and now have to make sense of things with all the changes brought by the intervening years. It was a very sweet romance and a satisfying ending to the story arc.
