**This book has a Happy Ever After ending for Emily and Tom, and also solves the mystery of who is the arsonist lighting all the fires from book 2.**
Suzanne Cass' romantic suspense is easy-to-read, fast-paced and thrilling.
Read Firelight and take a dive into this passionate story of Tom and Emily's journey to find love.
Suzanne Cass has always had a fascination with the tough resilience of people who live in our amazing red-dirt outback country. Much of her adolescence was spent working as a jillaroo in the Snowy Mountains, forming her love of lean, enigmatic, cowboy heroes in wild, passionate, dangerous stories. When not writing about the characters that inhabit her head, Suzanne can be found prowling the Perth beaches with her border collie, or yelling from the sidelines as her two sons play sport. Her debut novel, Island Redemption won the Romance Writers of Australia award for best unpublished romance novel of 2016.
Firelight is book two in the Stargazer Ranch series by Suzanne Cass. The arsonist is back and stalking Emily Hillenbrand and Tom Coulston that caused Dean, the owner of Stargazers Ranch, to decided to close down the ranch until law enforcement reveals the identity of the arsonist. However, on the way out of town, Emily Hillenbrand disappeared. The readers of Firelight will follow the twists and turns in Tom Coulston's search for Emily to find out if Emily dies or lives.
I read book one in this series, and it was fantastic. I was excited about reading this book, and Firelight did not disappoint. The way Suzanne Cass incorporate the twists and turns in this book glue me to my chair until the last page. Firelight is well written and researched by Suzanne Cass. I like the way, Suzanne Cass describes the settings of Firelight that allowed me to imagine being part of the plot of this book.
The reader of Firelight will understand the issues that patients have when they congenital heart disease, and they have a pacemaker. Also, the readers of Firelight will learn about problems that ER doctors have when family members die.
Thanks to the author for my ARC copy for an honest review. I recommend this book.
In order for events in this book to make sense one should really read Combustion and Wildfire first. This is the story of Emily and Tony and the continued acts of vandalism against the Stargazer Ranch. It opens with Tony coming upon Emily crying in the barn, although she won't admit that she is crying. It seems that she got an upsetting text from he sister. Tony and Emily take a group of guests on a cattle drive, but when they reach the herd, they discover a bunch of sick cattle. The arsonist seems to be deviating from fires. The attraction between Tony and Emily starts to grow but they must both come to terms with their pasts if they ever hope to have a future together. It may be that something good will come out of the acts of vandalism against the ranch or the acts might go too far and cause the end of Stargazer Ranch. I know that you will enjoy reading this book to learn if one or both happens to be true. I, personally, am hoping that this is not the end of the books about the Stargazer Ranch because I really love the characters. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I loved this third book in a really great series, which takes place on a ranch that caters to guests who want a western vacation experience, including horseback riding and kayaking, to name just a few. The Stargazer Ranch owners treat their employees like family and their guests like royalty, which made it difficult for them when anyone was put in danger for any reason. And there certainly was plenty of danger—cattle being poisoned, fires being set, kidnapping, etc. There was enough action to keep me totally engrossed from the start of the book to the finish. Plus, the budding romance between Emily and Tom heated things up as well. They were a likable couple, like Levi and Cat from the first two books. Dean and the rest of the Stargazer family made me want to be a part of them, if they had really existed. Even though Emily and Tom’s love story and the mystery of the arsonist were nicely wrapped up in this installment, I understand there’s another Stargazer Ranch couple to read about in the next book, and I’m looking forward to it. I received a copy of this book from the author, and am giving my voluntary and honest opinion.
I found this book to be a very interesting read, from both a medical and a mystery perspective. Emily has left home, where she found herself smothered by her family due to her lifelong medical issue resulting in her having to have a pacemaker implanted, and found her way to Stargazer Ranch where she is involved with the horses and the guests that come for the ranch experience. Tom, a former ER doctor and young widower, is seeking a quiet life away from the medical profession and has come to Stargazer Ranch to live a different, low-key type of life and keep to himself. They are drawn to each other and, as an arsonist is busy causing problems on the ranch, they both try to protect each other and the ranch from possible destruction as they work to solve the mystery of who, and why, someone is targeting Stargazer Ranch.
I haven't read the first couple of books in this series and I'm sure that they would help set up the storyline, although I thought the author did a good job of bringing me, the reader, up to speed without becoming monotonous or slowing the story down. I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Emily and Tom has been working together on a ranch for a while now. She was attracted to him but he always kept his distance, keeping to himself and not letting people get too close. Then things started happening on the ranch, cattle being poisoned and killed and fires happening. Those brought them closer together until her secret came out and Tom was faced with his past and his biggest fear. Then Emily was kidnapped and he realized that losing her would be worse than living with his fears. This is a story about past hurts, learning toletgo of those and to choose to live your life to the fullest despite facing hardships and limitations. I loved the characters and am looking forward to meeting up with them again in future books in this series. I received an ARC copy and am leaving a voluntary review.
Book #3 in the Stargazer Ranch series, this is the conclusion to the arsonist threat that has been targeting the Ranch since book #1 Combustion followed by book #2 Wildfire.
I really enjoyed Firelight, it had two good lead romantic characters, Tom and Emily, both with pasts they are running from, but there's a chemistry between them they are finding hard to ignore.
The arsonist is still on the loose, but he's diversifying in his threats towards Dean and the Ranch. Things get pretty hectic at times, especially for Emily and Tom.
I had my concerns about the person who it turned out to be, so I wasn't surprised when it was revealed, I was surprised at just how insane that person was.
A really good conclusion to an enjoyable series.
Thanks to the author for a digital copy of this novel in return for an honest review.
Tom and Emily each have their own reasons for working at the Stargazer Ranch and it is these reasons that are keeping them apart. At the same time the series of arson attacks are accelerating and Tom and Emily find themselves in serious danger. The fires are not the only thing that hot .. their attraction is too. This is a fast paced romantic suspense with good characters and a HEA.
Firelight is a Stargazer Ranch book which follows on from and concludes the arson storyline started in Wildfire and the prequel novella Combustion.
This book in the Stargazer RanchMystery Romance series centers around Tom and Emily. They’ve worked closely together at the Stargazer Ranch and have become close. They both have secrets though. Despite the attraction between them, they each have their reasons for not getting involved. When an arsonist strikes the ranch, they are thrown together. They both have to realize that they can get beyond their pasts and can have a happy future together. This story was well written and the characters were perfect for each other.

Emily and Tom both work at Stargazer ranch, they're hiding there as they have secrets. They feel attraction to each other but because of the secrets don't take it any further. The arsonist hasn't gone away, just changed his/her tactics. So many things are happening that it's decided that it might be best to shut the ranch for a bit. Then the bad stuff hits the fan! Another great read from Suzanne.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Suzanne Cass, via Bookfunnel and this is my voluntary and honest review. I enjoyed this romantic suspense with Emily and Tom and trying to figure out who is setting fires and killing cattle on Stargazer Ranch. This is book 3 in this wonderful series and they just keep getting better. I had trouble putting this book down after I started reading it. I highly recommend this book and all the books in this Stargazer Ranch Mystery series.
What a great conclusion to this series! I have really enjoyed reading about Tom and Emily and following the mystery of who the arsonist is and why he's targeting the Ranch. It has been a little difficult waiting for the next book to come out to see the next stage in their journeys. I think that Tom and Emily make for a great couple and as the danger draws in further, the closer they become.

I read this as an ARC - this was much better than the first book Wildfire. Suzanne seemed to give more depth to the main characters, it was stated not inferred. The completed the mystery at the ranch. If you have an epilogue, but it at the end of the book. Didn't like having to download this after I read the book.
This was a great book, this is the first book that I have read from this author. I am so looking forward to reading more from this author. Great writing and flow of the story. I can not wait to read the previous books in this series to get the full story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a sweet, clean romance with a touch of suspense.
While it is the 2nd book in the series, I didn't feel as if I missed anything important in regards to the first story. In fact, it has made me curious to the first story and I'll be looking up to read.
I loved Em & Tom's story how they overcome their personal fears and health issues to learn that it is love that matters.
This is a great story. I enjoyed reading the story about Emily and Tom. I want to read the other stories in this series. The characters and setting are wonderfully described. I felt that I was part of the story. I was given an ARC for an objective review.
