Blake
I can't promise I'll never get into another fight, but I can promise the only girl I'll ever fight for, from now on, is Parker Rose.

Parker

Hiring Blake Anderson to oversee my co-op to coffee shop renovation is the best—and easiest—decision I’ve ever made. But inviting him to rent my spare room might just be the worst.

He’s my contractor. I’m his client. We should not be living together. But when he gets kicked out of his friend’s place for fighting, I don’t take no for an answer. After all, Blake fought for me.

This arrangement has disaster written all over it.

We have nothing in common. Blake is a kind, professional Jekyll by day and a broody, violent Hyde by night. While I’m just a silly girl with a furry purse who is failing miserably at passing herself off as an entrepreneur.

There’s a good chance Blake will demolish my heart. But like he says, “It gets worse before it gets better.”

I hope he’s right.

This is an steamy 18+ read with a HEA! Can be read as a stand alone but recommended you read Luke's book first because Blake and Luke are brothers and Blake plays a strong role in Luke's book.

In Love on Luke and Main we got a glimpse of Luke's brother Blake, and here we get to know him up close.

Blake is intense in his feelings, which results in him scaring off the ladies he likes. All he really wants is to find a woman to love, and who will love him back. Blake has a big heart and he's very sweet. But... He's also kind of possessive, and can't even stand when a guy is just talking to Parker. To me, that is not okay. I get that it's supposed to be an act of love on his part, and Parker takes it the "right" way, but personally I would be running in the other direction. I'll have to say that it works for this story, and the fact that Blake knows he has to make some changes makes it a bit more "okay".

Parker is used to living in her sister's shadow, as the unseen sister. She's having a hard time making even the simplest choices. Hah, I can relate to that in some ways! Considering that, I have to give her credit for starting her own business, but hadn't it been for Blake I don't think she would have succeded.

It takes some time for both Blake and Parker to act on their feelings, but when they do it gets steamy fast! At the same time it's really sweet. The language is sometimes a bit too harsh, when I find it quite unrespectful. I guess people who are younger than me don't feel the same way, I imagine it's what they're used to.

Over all, I enjoyed a lot of the book, and if you don't mind a guy being possessive I would definitely recommend that you read this steamy, yet sweet, story!

Blake is intense with his feelings with every woman so him having those feelings with the heroine did not make her special.

In Love on Blake and Main we are back in the small town of Towering Pines. With the Broody, possessive, Sexy hot Construction worker Blake Anderson.

He has been hired by and to work for Parker Rose. When these two first meet the attraction is instant.

Time goes on the job starts and then the pair become roomies but Neither one will act on their feelings towards each other.

Then things change...

Blake is desperate for someone to love and to love him back. Parker is more than willing to be that one for the job.

I loved this book and loved Blake and Parker. Blake is a Big ole softie under his hard exterior and Parker is so full of self-doubt but super sweet.

This small town Romance By Anastasia Austin is absolutely one I would recommend.

To get a good feel for Blake's story you could read Love on Luke and main. Featuring Luke, Blake's Brother.
It's His and Haley's story.

I cannot wait For Oliver's Story. Yay!

Not sure how I'm gonna to put how much I loved this book into words but I'll do my best.

I loved every single aspect of this book, it had so much going for it right from the beginning and didn't fizzle out even once.

I absolutely adored Parker and Blake, their chemistry was nearly radiating from the pages as soon as they met. The push and pull between them really kept things interesting until the best parts happened. And boy, oh boy were those parts scorching hot but also very sweet and emotional.

The dude on the cover "Blake" is a little misleading as we learn that Blake is a man the size of a house. Big man, short temper. But he is trying to be good, no fights, no starting fights, but somehow the fights still come to him. Will having such a short fuse scare Parker away OR make her swoon knowing that her crush is ready to defend anyone's honor?
That part of the story I enjoyed. The tiny, mousy, new girl to town, oogles the big handsome construction dude. Not only is the big handsome construction dude on her radar, but HE is also HER contractor for the old building she bought to renovate. Let's not worry how 20-somethings get loans to renovate a building and start a new business (why ruin the magic that a good romance novel depends on??)
I also enjoyed the part of the way the two MCs come together. I have a huge building. Hey, I need a place to live. Hey, come live with me in my huge building. VERY chick-flick, rom-com set up right there. Perfect. AND with that, I wonder why I have never found a handsome homeless guy who needs to rent a room. Some women have all the luck. Which enters Parker's insecurities...he can't like me, guys only like my sister, if she isn't around, I am sure Blake would want her, not me.
This brings me to the one part of the story I wasn't real keen on. Parker being a virgin. I would think that, like most women, once we left high school the subject of being, and though she is new in town her new friends already know. I don't understand the need for this in most contemporary romance. When Blake and Parker finally...ya know....the scene, the tension, everything would have read just as well if we knew nothing of Parker and her lack of experience. THis is what kept me at a 4star review, vs a 5 star review.
All in all, the men in this town need to start going to yoga or learn to meditate or something. Relax.

4 Stars! A nice short, sweet and sexy read!

Parker - she's used to be overlooked by men for her taller and more glamourous sister, hence why she's still a reluctant virgin. So when she meets with her new drop-dead gorgeous contractor, Blake, she knows he's way out of her league, and wouldn't even look twice at her. Yet the more time they spend together, lingering looks become lingering touches and sparks soon start to fly! But is this mountain of a man too much for her?

Blake - he's been told by many that he comes on too strong with women. He's broody, possessive and when he's in with a woman, he's all in. He's it for her and she's it for him, and he doesn't like when people touch what's his. Unfortunately his most recent infatuation is his strongest yet, and it's with someone completely off-limits; his client. When she offers to let him rent her spare room, he know he should say no, how would he keep his attraction at bay in when they're living together? Surely she'll run a mile when she sees how intense he can be?

I really enjoyed this book. It's great to have a non-manwhore alpha lead, especially one without lots of other woman drama (although you do see the return of the evil Jessie). He might be slightly too much on the possessive side, but it really brought out his hot fiery streak, so their times together just burned through the pages!

If you're looking for a quick sweet and sexy read, with pretty low drama, then this is the book for you! Can't wait to read Oliver's story next!

**Honest ARC review**

No cheating. No cliff-hanger. HEA guaranteed.

I literally did not put this book down once I started it! This story is the epitome of an alpha male protecting the girl he's falling for type of romance.
I did read the first book before I read this one but you could get away with reading this as a standalone. Blake is Luke's brother from the first book but the author does a great job of catching you up in this story.
I am honestly a little jealous of Parker because I would love to open a coffee shop/bakery. Blake was the perfect person to help with the renovations; even if he did get into a fight with his coworkers sometimes. He was super hardworking but he definitely needed to control his emotions/the fighting. He was definitely an alpha male that wanted to protect Parker at all times even though she could handle herself.
Parker was the complete opposite from him in my opinion. She was strong willed though and kept Blake on his toes. He was worried about scaring her or pushing her away since it has happened with past girlfriends but she took him in stride. She didn't shy away from him but instead offered the extra room she had for him to stay in pretty quickly after meeting him.
Parker's relationship with her sister was strained and she wasn't my favorite person so I loved when Blake helped her in the opposite way that her sister usually did. She had great character development towards the end and so did Blake with the biker gang at the end.
I also love when the authors include characters from past books so it was great to see Haley and Parker become friends pretty quickly as well. These small town romances are exactly what I am looking for when it comes to romances so I highly recommend this series!

When you think that men don't see you because you are nothing special but the not possessive contractor you've hired notices you. This is a sweet short romance that had you believing that us regular girls can get the hunky guy.

Parker is the girl that, she feels, nobody notices. She is full of self-doubt but decides to pull up her big girl pants and take the chance of opening a coffee and bakery place in a different town. She hired a contractor that she has never met but heard he was fantastic. Well, she sees him and falls hard for him but keeps her feelings close to the jacket. She doesn't want to get hurt like she has in the past. She meets new friends and starts to feel part of a group that wants her to be part of it.

Blake is the contractor that has been hired but he is a bit possessive and falls hard for the women he dates. He needs to find a place to live because he couldn't stand living with his brother and his girlfriend because he's tired of hearing them. The only problem is that there is nowhere to rent in the town but also he is hot-headed and so possessive that he gets into fights. In walks the most beautiful woman that he has ever seen but she is his boss.

What happens when Blake rents a room from Parker? Will they act on their feelings? Will Blake keep his temper under control? Can Parker start to feel that she is worthy of someone's affections?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. It is full of hot steamy scenes, loss of self-control, overcoming self-doubts and true love. Blake is the guy you want because he is all about making sure you have and get everything you want. Parker is the girl that gives you her all.

4.5/5

WARNING!! This is book 2 in the Love on Main series. This can be read as a standalone, but for an overall better reading experience I recommend reading book 1 first.

A broody contractor and a quirky girl trying to pass herself off as a professional entrepreneur. Blake has wanted someone to love since he was a kid, but he tends to scare girls away by getting attached to fast. Parker has been hidden in her older sisters shadow her whole like, because of this she is determined to make her business succeed on her own. After Blake gets kicked out of his friends house for fighting, Parker offers him her spare room, and she’s not taking no for an answer. What will happen with this unlikely pair when they are around each other 24/7? Between working together and living together, things are bound to heat up.

Things are heating up in the small town of Towering Pines. This is the second installment in the Love on Main trilogy and let me tell you, I was a huge fan of book 1(Luke’s story), but this one blew me away. Between Blake’s split Jekyll and Hyde personality, and Parker’s fun and quirky ways of bringing him out of his shell, this book was an absolutely hit for me! While there were quite a few things that drew me in about this book, I think the thing that made me fall in love with it was Parker’s outlook on falling in love with Blake. I mean she fell in love with him because of the same things that made him a disliked person by the rest of the town. She fell in love with him the way he was, not the way she thought she could change him. Overall this book was amazing and I definitely would recommend!!

I received this as a free ARC copy via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not going to rate this book because I only read two chapters. But I cannot with this FMC. She buys a property for her business, sight unseen, relying only on the judgement and the word of the real estate agent. She hires a contractor to renovate the building, but she doesn't even have a business plan. All she knows is that she's going to serve gourmet coffee, but she hasn't decided what else she's going to serve with the coffee. And her loving sister doesn't make her sit down and figure out a business plan BEFORE she buys a building?

FMC keeps fretting that she's going to fail, and I think she's right, she's going to fail. There are many ways of stepping out and taking charge of your own life, but this was just too drastic. By her own admission, she avoids all questions that require her to make a decision, so how the heck is she going to run a business? She hired a local contractor because she intends to get HIM to make the decisions for her when it comes to renovations: "He knows what the people who live here and who tour through look for. When I can't decide, I can just ask him what they would expect and go with that. Easy peasy!"

I'm facepalming so hard, I can't even.

Absolutely loved this book.
I love the girl who (thinks) goes unnoticed by men, opening up her own shop in a small town and falling head over heels in the hot possessive construction worker. Who has a reputation of being not only possessive but desperately looking for love.
Blake lives with his brother and his fiancée and needs a place of his own to give them the space and a good nights sleep. He ends up living on Oliver's couch above the bar but is told that if he starts a fight he will be thrown out.
Needless to say he starts a fight with a guy who touches Parker and has to leave Oliver's couch. Parker then tells him to rent her spare bedroom and doesn't take no for an answer. And then the dance begins.
Don't want to spoil to much, but love the chemistry between Parker and Blake.
It's definitely worth the read and with just over 100 pages perfect for an evening or an quiet afternoon

Woo hoo, Blake is here. I was super excited to read about Luke’s hot headed younger brother. Blake was everything I thought he’d be, and Parker is perfect for him. Two perfectly awkward people that are adorably cute together. Even though they are not in high school, they have the whole awkward unsure first crush/love thing. Totally adorable. There were so many sweet moments with these two, and just as many naughty ones. So basically sweet with a side of naughty.

Anastasia Austin is quickly becoming one of my go to authors. I love her writing style, and her storylines. Safe read, with two adorably awkward people, and naughty shenanigans. He’s a sweet hot head, and she is awkwardly blunt. We get to see our favorites from the first book, Luke, Hayley and other favorites. No epilogue, hfn. Next book please.

Psst...what happened with the actor?

“I licked you. You’re mine.”
I feel like I've waited a lifetime to read those words in a book. Every time a woman sees a man the way Blake is described, we all think it! So, thank you Anastasia for putting it in print!
In fact, you'll probably want to lick your kindle through most of this; it's a ride of grunts, swoons, loss of self-control, overcoming self-doubt, and hot, steamy scenes that'll make you wish for a fan.
Both Blake and Parker have issues - his anger and her insecurities - but together they smooth the other out, and its so sweet to read. It's the perfect example of 'together we're stronger'.
So, to wrap it up...if you like growly, possessive and wholeheartedly lovable men, this book is for you.
I'm ready for the next book with my fan at hand (I know I'll need it)!

Blake and Parker earned every word of their story. Blake has been living in my head since book 4 of the Fate series, Forcing Fate. I had a rough idea what I wanted to do with him but nothing felt right until Parker found her way to Towering Pines. That shy, anxiety-filled pixie grabbed onto Blake and wouldn't let go. Which is exactly what he needed. And it didn't hurt that it resulted in some of the hottest scenes I've ever put to words! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I absolutely adore Blake and Parker! I hope you do too!

Parker left home to get away from her overbearing sister and open her own business to start a new life. Blake owned the construction company that was doing the renovation on Parker’s new place. Before Parker moved to the new town, she and Blake had a bit of a crush on each other just from talking and texting about the job. When they met their interesting romance was exciting, confusing, intense, fun, fast and very unpredictable from the very beginning.

Possessed me with this possessive workplace romance

Parker, a new to business shop owner, hires Blake, a contractor, to remodel the old co-op in town for her new coffee shop. As the story progresses the first meeting throws them, indecision rules them, and navigating their way through their own obstacles is not as easy as everyone else makes it sound. Anastasia Austin possessed me with this possessive alpha workplace romance. She took just the right approach in finding the perfect match for each of the characters and allowed them to see past the hard exterior and into the gooey center.

Love on Blake and Main is the second book in a series that keeps getting better and better. The characters are well written, Blake may have a hard shell, but has a big heart. Parker strong willed and will not let anything pass her by. Their connection through the story will have you lost in their journey and melting in your chair.

Great book that you will not want to put down.

What a wonderful book, loved the connection of Blake and Parker. He’s hot tempered, yet he is so looking for that one person to love him despite his flaws and when he meets Parker, he may just have found his person. I liked Parker’s style as being directly to the point, which makes Blake take notice. The book flowed well from start to finish.

Absolutely loved the second book in the series! Blake is the construction worker hired to renovate the building for Parker’s new coffee shop. The attraction between the two of them is immediate and off the charts!

The characters are very well written and I loved seeing the characters from the first book - but you don’t have to read it to enjoy this one. Definitely worth the read and can’t wait for more!!

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a love story between two opposites people who complete each other. When Parker moves out from her beautiful sister to open her own coffee shop she hires Blake to renovate it for her. She is the ugly duckling compared to her sister and never dates and Blake is too intense for most women so when he needs a place to move her offers him her extra room which may or may not work out. They actually are perfect for each other and loved this romance.
