I'm a UK based author who loves to read and write all things romance. As Skye Jones I write steamy paranormal romance that ranges from light and fun to dark and gritty.
As S.R. Jones I write darker contemporary romance and romantic suspense.
I live in Yorkshire, and get lots of inspiration from the windswept moors, the old stone buildings and the Celtic myths of this fair isle.
My dogs are my favourite people, and I'm quite fond of my husband too. I love chocolate and starbucks mochas and keep meaning to give them up for a life as a svelte fashion plate - it never happens!
I found this book to be a bit predictable but I did enjoy it. Now that Aisha and Ezra are on the run and her harem are out looking for her the storyline picked up a bit. The men actually had an almost too easy truce with Aisha at the center. While I’m still not blown away by these books I gotta admit they’re secretly hot and naughty AF. I like the fact that part of her harem also consists of some kinky ass MM. But now Aisha is on her own and she’s going to have to save herself and outsmart this witch. Another perfect time to attempt to use her newfound powers and prove herself capable. Looking forward to a HEA.
These books are just getting shorter so I stand by the fact that they would have been better as just one or two books instead of four.
This third installment continues with the groups being split up. Aisha and Ezra are on the run back to 'The Pit' she was originally trapped in and then rescued from in order to find Ezra's sister. Their relationship continues to be quite cute and they are very protective of each other. The path to 'The Pit' isn't as straight forward as they hoped however and tests their new recent skill sets as they battle through each roadblock.
For the guys, Dashiell, Gideon, Logan and Jaxon, they must now work together to be able to find Aisha before she gets herself into too much danger. The reluctance from them all to be able to trust each other to be able to move ahead gets to be a little much after a while. With the woman they all supposedly love in unknown trouble, the mistrust is dragged on a little too far for me. I understand that they have centuries old feuds but the continual questioning and mistrust just slows the pacing down.
The cabin scene for me was just the worst scene so far. It was just too over-the-top. I normally like reverse harem and I even like it when there is a mix of all the men sharing the female or of the men getting involved with each other and the female but this just seemed to be smut for smut's sake. It didn't make the storyline any better in my opinion. It didn't really add anything and if it hadn't been included, the story would've just been the same, if not better.
Again, there is something holding me back from truly enjoying these books and I still can't put my finger on it. As they are so short and easy to read, I will be reading the last one just to get the final answers and to see the final outcome. However, as with the other two, I won't be reading this again in the future and I'm still not sure it's worth a recommendation yet. That's saying something since we are 3 books in now but I am finding as the series moves forward, I become more disappointed.
Well, things are the tiniest bit better in this book. I keep hoping that I'll start feeling something for Aisha or her guys, but it's just not happening. At this stage in the series, we should have enough character development to connect with the characters. That hasn't happened. Every relationship is so shallow that the only thing they have is lust. The only exception I'll make is Ezra. Gideon and Jackson are still kind of wishy washy, so I really feel nothing for them. Logan and Dashiel are just jerks. While they're behaving slightly better in this book, they are still all about Aisha being a possession. Which brings me to Aisha. I can't connect with her character. She starts off as innocent due to growing up in the pit. As the series progressed, she just seems like a prostitute giving her body to whoever she feels will protect her best. Other reviewers commented that this is like reading porn. I'm actually starting to agree with them. There are mentions of the characters feeling something for one or the other, but there is no relationship building to back up those feelings. Why does Aisha like any of the guys? Why do they like her? The only reasons I can see are lust and how they can use each other for their benefit. So right now this isn't really a romance. It's more like a bunch of people attracted to each other and using each other. I'm not impressed and definitely can't recommend this series unless you want easy reading without substance. I will read the last book just to finish the series, but it's definitely not getting any better...
☄️☄️ONE TANTALIZING JOURNEY☄️☄️ Howling hornets! This immensely talented, uniquely gifted and extremely impressive dynamic duo hit the motherload with this tumultuous wild ride, delivering up some frightful facts, dangerous choices and relentless pursuits, hooking you from the first sentence to the last word, launching this bad boy to a whole new level. Attributes and mannerisms in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this tangled web so intensely and tight that nothing else exists, broken barriers and obscured perimeters solidify as limitations are amplified and tested, secrets confessed, revelations unmasked and promises made, blasting this bad boy into the eye of the hurricane, blowing it into a frenzy with life altering results. The characters are complex, genuine and realistic with traits and qualities that balance and blend, with amazing depth and diversity and enough spice to add an extra kick to the mix. Throw in 100% on point realism, raising the stakes with such graphic scenarios that are so colorfully descriptive and vividly detailed its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Incredible job guys, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.
So we learned a little more in this book. Which I truly did like. But to me it is still just an okay book/series. I am not going to go out and recommend this book or series to all my reader friends. So far there is really nothing to hook anybody's interest or keep them invested in the out come of this series.
At this point the intensity should be ramping up for the final book. And yet it just felt like nothing exciting was happening or was expected to happen. It lacks excitement, spice, steam, and a sense of danger. Here we are ramping up to the final battle with the most wickedest, and deadly witch of this world and you really have no sense of danger, unease, or dread. At the end of this book I was just like.. meh okay. And that is a terrible thing to feel at what is supposed to be leading up to the epic battle and hopeful victory of the MC's in a story. I will finish the last book in the series. Not because I am dying to know what happens. But at this point I feel like I have wasted my money on these books, and I just want to finish them and then delete them off my devices. I'm doing it more to remind myself to never buy all the books in a series. Without finding out first, if I even like the first book in the series.
And let's get this show on the road. Let's start another book eager to know what will happen. Marissa Farrar and Skye Jones have created this series that I was a bit scared to read. Scared because it's a genre that I don't normally read. But guys, you'll love it as I did. Their writing is raw and wild, with a touch of darkness and mystery. Enchanted Dawn is their latest release and it's the third book from the Wicked Monsters series. But you have to read the first two books from this series first because if you don't, you won't be able to understand this book. This new book keeps exploring Aisha's life. And what a life this has been. The book worked perfectly and it spiked my curiosity because I needed more. Chapter after chapter, it was super addictive and o couldn't stop reading. There is darkness surrounding this book as well as some hot stuff. So hot that it will burn you. Now I'm left wanting more... Why end it like this? I need the rest of the story. Soon, please.
By this point I’m pretty much finishing this box set/series by grit alone, because I don’t want to leave it languishing in my Kindle Cloud unfinished. But I’m done, toast, really really not enjoying anything about it.
The sex is becoming increasingly ridiculous in an attempt to incorporate all five men. Some of it doesn’t sound at all enjoyable, or like the character herself is enjoying it. I can’t account for all these men dedicating themselves to Aisha by anything but a magic pussy. It’s just stupid really. And I am 100% sick of the hollow Aisha worship. And Aisha is far, far, far, far too knowledgeable about, well, everything, for someone who grew up without experiencing anything.
On a positive note, the word slave is finally used to describe the slaves, though only the once and not in reference to Aisha or in acknowledgement of those who actually held them.
I will read book four, just to finish it. But I don’t anticipate enjoying it any more than this one.
Aisha and Ezra have begun their journey to the Pit, and it is one that’s fraught with challenges along the way. In the meantime, the vamp, demon, and shifters have to either decide to form an uneasy alliance or risk losing Aisha forever. There’s plenty of activity and moments of intense passion in this dark tale that will captivate your interest. And just when you think you’ve reached the climax, evil rears its devious head and snatches you right out of the beginnings of the end. While this fantastical drama is still unfolding, we’re getting to learn more about our main characters and their developing relationships to each other. Their story has been and continues to be a darkly intriguing tale that will keep you enthralled and anxious to know what’s next for this mix-matched group you’ve come to care for. It’s definitely worth sticking around to find out!
Aisha has grown as a character…. From a pitiful childhood, to a captive of a vampire (book #1). There are feelings involved there. Still wanting to help those from her childhood she escapes with the wolfpack (book #2). More feelings develop.
This story is #3 and Aisha realizes she has some special powers – and continues her quest with Ezra who was also a captive of the vampire, but has now been made werewolf by the pack.
Both vampire and wolfpack want her back – but there is a danger bigger than they, and they must work together to ensure Aisha’s safety. Mixed emotions, putting others first, romance and magical growth are fabulous features in this continuing journey for Aisha.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
Can the vampire, gargoyle and shifter-wolves set aside their grievances to work as a united front to secure Aisha’s safety? Either way, one thing’s abundantly clear … trust is still a major issue amongst them.
I didn’t find that the storyline advanced much from where things were left in the last installment. Yes, there were some developments with the potential for serious ramifications (or, at least I hope so), but for me, this book seemed to serve one purpose – have the males pursue the runaways, determine consequences and argue over possession. The story is a quick read with some drama and conflict along with explicit M/F, M/F/M and M/M sex.

This was a enjoyable instalment in this series. It had a engaging and different storyline which I liked reading, unable to put it down. I liked the different perspectives from different characters, however like the earlier books in this series it was written strangely, switching between 1st and 3rd person perspective with different characters. I just find this effects the flow of the book for me. I am however invested in these characters enough to want to finish the series. I was slightly disappointed to get to the end and realise there was another book and this ended on a cliff hanger. Eagerly awaiting for the next book.
Aisha and Ezra are on the way to the pit they both have goals, friends, and family are they still there will the Nesferatu stop them can a vampire lord a gargoyle and two wolf shifters unite in time to save the women they all want and just when it should be over it isn't her power has brought another enemy her way. Who is stronger will Aisha and her monsters come together. Lots of sex more plot twist and danger.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
This is the third book in the four book series. I highly suggest reading in order. We’ve met vampires, wolf shifters, nosferatu, a witch and and gargoyle/demon in the series. Aisha is the main character and is just learning what it is to be a witch. Her whole life she thought she was human but she is so much more. Her one goal is to save the humans she grew up with. She will need help along the way and will learn so much more about her world. Things get very dangerous and also extremely hot.
Wow!! What an imagination this author has to have written this series of books!
I read this book as part of a box set of the four books and it was just superb, it was the third book in the series and I loved it from cover to cover.
I read the books back to back and I absolutely loved this one and it has me starting the fourth and final one straight away.
The storyline was sizzling, it was so well developed and the writing style was perfect and it was a great escape read
It is 5 stars from me for this one – very highly recommended!
This was not what I was expecting. Although I came into the series halfway I expected there to be more of a story line. Most of the book was the girl wondering the woods with her wolf and sex. Although sex is great in a story; this book didn't get to any type of plot or storyline till almost the end of the book. I'm not sure if I will be continuing this series or not.

First let me state that I received an advanced reader , (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
OMG!!! This story is getting better and better. This time Aisha escapes the wolves with Ezra to go to the pit and free the humans. The wolves, Logan & Jackson along with the vampire, Dashiel, and the gargoyle/demon, Gabriel join forces and go after Aisha. I can't wait to read the next part. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up.
Enchanted Dusk: A Dark Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance by Marissa Farrar is an amazing story that I have loved reading. This is book number three in this amazing series that I am so hooked on and I can not wait to read more. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about reverse harem, dark erotica, fantasy and paranormal romance.

The third book in the Wicked Monsters series. We’re getting to the magical portion of this world that Jones and Farrar had built for us. We’re almost at the end but will things end well for our characters?
Check out the blog post that I did to read the rest of my thoughts on this book and the series thus far!
Title: Enchanted Dusk Author: Marissa Farrar, Skye Jones Format: Ebook Genre: Romance, RH w/MM, Paranormal (Vampires, werewolves, gargoyles, demons, witches) Standalone: Nope - Ends on a cliffhanger Part of a Series: Book 3 of Wicked Monsters POV: Aisha, Dashiell, Gideon, Logan, Jaxson Steam Level: Hot 4/5
Enchanted Dusk starts right where cruel Moon ends and again is a cliffhanger making me happy to be reading this in box set rather than having to buy the next installment. Enchanted Dusk sees Aisha and Ezra on the run toward the pit where Aisha came from. Dashiell, Gideon, Logan and Jaxon reluctantly work together to find them before it's too late. Along the way, Ezra and Aisha run into trouble both natural and paranormal and the rest of the guys are wary of each other, never knowing if someone was going to betray the rest. This book was action-packed but also did a good job of lowering the tension when it could be getting too intense. I wasn't expecting the end and holy insanity I can't wait to see what happen next.
The more the series progresses, the better it becomes! I mean the plot is building up, spice is getting more interesting! (We get more interesting couplings and hell if this is not making me swoon!)
I’m still not the biggest fan of Logan, and for now, nothing can make me like him, I still don’t get how Aisha stands him!
And that cliffhanger! It’s so not fair, but well, the final book in the series will be something very interesting!
One thing is for sure, I’m really jealous of Aisha, she’s getting a bit way too many D’s! And I needed more Gideon and Aisha moments, so I hope there will be more in the next book!
A mad rush across country for Aisha (FMC) and now wolf Ezra to get back to The Pit. Following them Vampire - Dashiell, Gargoyle - Gideon & wolves - Logan & Jaxson. Witches, Nosferatu and a smoking hot sex fest in a secluded cabin. This series is starting to hit its stride now and its a nail biting read especially the ending! Im just loving this series and i cant wait for the next book now
The story continues with an urgency which was palpable throughout. I felt as though most of the story was about the journey with little else going on. The excitement built towards the end as the characters finally began to interact with each other. I look forward to reading more.
I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
Enchanted Dusk is book three of the Wicked Monsters series and it picks up where book two left off. Aisha and Ezra are on their way to the Pit and a lot happens along the way. This is a steamy, intense read packed with action, drama, suspense, unexpected twists, and an ending that left me ready for the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Finally taking things in her own hands by going to the pit. But what is her plan once she gets there? Is she thinking she is going to just free them and walk away? I like it better when the FMC saves herself and doesn't have to rely on the males to do it for her (maybe because I am head strong female myself).
I read this is almost one sitting. I can’t wait to read the next book! My fav part was the different POV’s. It really made us as the readers understand why the acted the way they did. Having them work together created a bond that was unexpected but sure made the fmc happy!
Five creatures loves her and manage to put there differences aside but nothing is ever easy. This Harlem and their mate find a satisfying beginning but there are things to truly fear so the cliff hanger is a doozy. Got to go to start the next book to discover what awaits the group 🤔
The first part of the book was a bit boring to be honest but it became better with the unraveling secrets and especially when Dashiell chooses to work with the wolves. And it was extremely better when all the harem got back to Aisha.
Here’s to hoping the last book is the big end to the series cause it’s been really good so far.

Book Review: Enchanted Dusk (Wicked Monsters #3) Author: Skye Jones, Marissa Farrar My Rating: 5 Stars
REVIEW This book picks us up where Aisha and Ezra left us on their journey to the Pit, although it's even harder than they imagined it would be. These two find themselves in danger at every turn. And although they worry about the others finding them, they have things ahead that are a lot worse than their lovers. And Aisha has learned of her powers but she still isn't in control of what they can do. She is going to need her vamp, gargoyle, and pack to fight what is ahead. Can they save her though? I am really enjoying these stories and can't wait for the next one.

I wish it was longer , but it’s well written and a good read. Can’t wait to see what’s next. There was a few spelling or grammatical errors but not nearly enough to effect the story.
This series was the first fantasy books I feel in love with. The characters are well written and have many different levels. Once finished I can’t wait to get the next one.
