Deck the Boss

Rate this book
Dressing up as a Christmas fairy was an easy dare.

Challenging the accountant to a Tequila shot contest was a bit of fun.

Dancing to ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ on top of the supervisor’s desk was invigorating. But when someone dared me to lap dance the Boss—my luck ran out.

Stranded in the office during the worst snow New York has seen in decades was bad enough. But when it’s Christmas Day and your only companion is the Boss you decked the night before, it’s a Ho Ho Ho lot of trouble.

A short and steamy read for the holiday season. Wrap up warm and indulge yourself in a little bit of escapism.

Carla is dared to give her boss a lap dance and after too much tequila she does and he immediately becomes enamored by the 'Christmas fairy'. He wants more time with her but thinks she is the Christmas Gram sent by his brother when it turns out she's not and he offended her by thinking that the two of them discover they are snowed in the office for the foreseeable future. The two end up sleeping together again and Carla ends up thinking that she's just 'fun' for Oliver and that things will not last. She leaves and he is upset that she doesn't come back to see him January 2nd like she promised. Luckily he tracks her down and the two work things out.
This book was definitely an insta-love story and I found the two characters slightly amusing but I didn't felt like they changed a lot during the story. Carla was quick to snap judgments and jumping to conclusions when it came to Oliver and she did so a few times in the entirety of the book. While Oliver was your typical playboy boss who didn't want anything to do with relationships until he met Carla. This is a quick holiday read and starts off fun but gets a little slower for my liking as the book goes on.

E o carte amuzanta, cliseu curat.

Steamy & Sweet Holiday Romp

This is the first time I’ve read anything by Stella Andrews, and I must say that I’ve absolutely enjoyed this short Christmas story. Carla is the office party girl at Christmas and this particular Christmas, after a number of tequila shots and other alcohol, she accepts a dare to give the CEO of the company, Oliver Steele, a lap dance.

Oliver is a workaholic and stays at the office working late every day, goes home, eats and sleeps and repeats. Every year on Christmas Eve, his brother gives him a naughty Christmas gram that involves a woman who is paid to give him sex. This year, he mistakes Carla, who is dressed as a fairy, as his Christmas gram. After he discovers that she isn’t his Christmas gram, the two enjoy themselves so much that they don’t realize they’re snowed in together.

Read this delightful story to see if Carla and Oliver discover their own Christmas miracle. Great job, Ms. Andrews!

This book grabbed my attention from the blurb not to mention the sexy Santa on the front. How I would love him to come to me on Christmas Eve. I loved this book. It made me laugh and certainly made me want to curl up by a fire with a nice hot chocolate while I read it. The story was lovely with the characters being trapped together in the office building. Who wouldn't want to be trapped with someone that was the best sex of your life? I liked both characters although I felt Oliver had more character development, he seemed to realise who he used to be rather than what he felt was expected of him. He didn't seem to care about her name or job occupation just cared about getting to know her more and making their Christmas perfect.

I was happy that they got a happy ending and a little sad their story ended! I shall make this a regular Christmas read where I can imagine being trapped in a building with a drop dead sexy man.

A Christmas fairy gets her scrooge boss into the Christmas spirit. Carla is always the life of every office Christmas party and this year she dressed up as a slutty fairy. As a dare she goes up to the top floor to give her boss Oliver Steel a lap dance. He’s a workaholic and never mingles with his employees. But when Carla shows up he thinks she’s his Christmas present from his brother. Not only do they spend the night together in his office, but due to a snow storm, they have to spend the next day and half there also. After the best Christmas day of her life Carla returns 10 days later determined to remain anonymous because of something she heard, so she never gave Oliver her name. But Oliver is not only determined to find his Christmas fairy, but he wants to make her his wife also. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

So wrong.

This book was so wrong and could have been proofread before being released.
1. Who can't smell tequila on someone's breath if they had been doing shots?
2. So what if the person starts to arouse you. Why take advantage of that situation?
3. She was the office party drunk. If what she said about her past Christmas Eve parties were true she should be ashamed.
4. He thought it was his yearly Christmas gram which was also gross. I guess he had been sleeping with one for years. So gross.
5. He was the CEO. He acted like he had never had sex before.
6. They both should have been ashamed of themselves.
7. Why did her friend not look for her when they received the weather report? Not a true friend if you ask me. She knew she had been drinking.
8. Hoe, ho, or whore. (just read the book and you will see what I am talking about)
I did not like how the female character was portrayed. This is my review and my thoughts.

This holiday office romance might be too good to be real, but it was a steamy holiday story. I'm impressed with the character building and even the steamy scene as this book is shorter. I love how the miscommunication was resolved, and loving this introverted boss is in the story.

Carla for over the top with the outfit and joy for Christmas she doesn't say no to date and us very brave and confident.

Oliver Steele is the boss, and he works hard trying to impress his father. His brother has a sense of humor and noels to send him Christmas grams with surprise chapters. He thinks Carla is a gram meant to satisfy his carnal urges in her costume.

Omg, this book gets steamy as she has an intimate moment; just wow, that progressed fast. I like this book includes both characters' perspectives, so nothing gets lost in translation. However, they seem to have a class is he said she heard going on that will set them up for a misunderstanding.

This book ends cute with another holiday office Christmas party. I love the couple ended up happy.

For a moment, time stops as I stare at a miracle of nature. She is so beautiful and so amazing something shifts inside me. From out of nowhere comes a feeling so powerful it takes me by surprise because I have an overwhelming urge to never let her go. I need her, I want her, and not just for today.

Dressing up as a Christmas fairy was an easy dare.
Challenging the accountant to a Tequila shot contest was a bit of fun.
Dancing to ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ on top of the supervisor’s desk was invigorating.

A short, steamy, romance Christmas story. 3.5 stars.

Went completely off the rails…

This short steamy story had potential, but something happened in the back half when it felt like the author was writing in her sleep.
The author is also clearly European - perhaps British - and writes in British vernacular for American characters, which is very frustrating. There was no need to set this story in New York if the author isn’t going to write in American vernacular. I don’t necessarily have a problem with it - I lived in London and married an Irish man, which is why I’m comfortable with the differences, but honestly it constantly pulled me out of the story to read British slang from an “American” character. Just write what you know or put in the effort to get the words right. I would have starred this book much higher otherwise.

I found this book on Amazon via BargainBooksy; this is my honest review.
-What do a dare and a mistaken identity equal to? A great, sexy, holiday billionaire romance.
-It's funny, it's sad at moments when communication is lacking, and it's fluffy too. At times, I thought it was a bit unbelievable but I just went with the flow.
-The first few chapters just show you how much Carla loves a good dare. This time, she just went too far. What was she thinking, doing a lap dance for the monster she never met?
-In the next few chapters, a dream is building between Carla and Oliver and they try to recreate it in the boardroom.
-Editing: Needs another pass, but not too serious. Ex: Too many words (pulls me against in him). Word words (wet heart, Mr. Steel).

Carla is the life and soul of any party and this Christmas is no exception, as she dresses up as a slutty fairy, and on a dare she goes up to the top floor to her boss Oliver’s office, who is a workaholic and never mingles with his employees, and there is a case of mistaken identity. Oliver things that Carla is her present from his brother, and they spend a night together, except it is a day or so longer and they are snowed in. Now Oliver is determined to track down his fairy and convince her to marry him. This is a well written story which is highly entertaining and quick read, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.

Well what do you know, a case of mistaken identity and a dare became their best Christmas gift. Oliver was hooked when he saw Carla, he found his One and he won't let her go and fate seems to be on his side. She tried evasive maneuvers but the road still leads to him. Guess it's true "what is meant to be is meant to be".

Their time together became a self-realization, finding out and keeping what is more important in their lives.

Rememberable

I finished this book yesterday and put it down as 4 stars which is my general rating for a book that I really enjoyed but after spending the night remembering bits of the story that made me laugh and that u enjoyed I thought 4 stars really wasn't fair so came back to change it to 5. This is a first, I usually go with my gut but I fiund this book even though only short to be catchy, warm, funny and really good. I urge you all if you want a feel good short story then read this one.

I really enjoyed this laugh-out-loud, holiday themed novella. There are heavy doses of zany and over-the-top in the cute storyline. I think this book will connect with readers pretty well simply because you either, A. Can see yourself in this situation or B. You've been a witness to someone else in this kind of situation. Humor, steam, heart and emotion make a potent combo that gives you plenty of smiles and feels as Carla and Oliver's story unfolds. This is my frank, freely posted review.

💋💋💋

Great Christmas holiday romp.
Funny, steamy and packed with chemistry.

This is a change for Stella, normally she’s on the darker side of writing, this is so lighthearted but it’s so enjoyable and satisfying to read.
I giggled and sighed all the way through.
I was hoping that they would stay together, if you want to find out if they do you’ll have to get it yourself.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

Oliver and Carla got mixed messages crossed this year. When Carla takes a dare, she doesn't know that it is with the company's boss and Oliver thinks that Carla is his brothers Christmas present, and they get into a lot of Christmas cheer that leads to a surprising eye opener the next day. When it is all said and done, will Oliver and Carla's Christmas romp lead to a happily ever after for the two.

Brilliant

As always by this author a very good read.

It was just what the doctor ordered after the year we have had. It was light and bubbly with romance and even a few eye raising moments.

Carla is always game for a dare and a laugh at Christmas and when she takes a dare to give Oliver ( the big boss ), a lap dance, she definitely gets more than she bargained for.

Definitely recommend

What a fun, hot Christmas story

I loved Oliver and Carla's story. It was fun reading about Carla being the life of the party. She took on a Christmas dare. Oliver just needed to experience Carla. She sounds like a fun person. I like books that makes me laugh and this one did just that. It's a good book! Read it to see if you like it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)

I absolutely love this sweet, feisty holiday tale from the amazing Stella Andrews. Carla is the life of the party, and Oliver is a workaholic. These two find themselves snowed in after a very crazy holiday party (fairy and all) . I love how they balance each other out and how they find that perfect happily ever after.

Deck the Boss...

A holiday office romance. This book was funny, angsty and dramatic. Imagine being snowed in with your not boss at work. This was like a Christmas movie on steroids to the tenth power without the cheesiness. Loved the characters and the antics between them. A really great read.
