He found her lying beside the fallen coach, an exquisite beauty...quite dead. Then her body mysteriously vanished — until, days later, still haunted by her memory, Carey McLendon looked across a crowded salon and saw her once again — radiant with life and more lovely than ever. In the moment their gazes locked, he knew their destinies would be entwined....
Francesca Kane, accused of murder and suddenly impoverished, welcomed Carey's protection. Together they would discover her husband's killer and clear her name. But as intrigue piled on intrigue, she fell captive to Carey's masculine allure, his willing partner in a breathless game of seduction. It might be dangerous to trust her heart to such a stranger, but how could she not yield when his every touch branded her as his own?
I have always been fascinated by historical events, especially British and French. Most of my stories are set in Georgian and Regency England. Some deal with the Jacobite rebellion, and my very first published book was set in Louis XIV's France. I like lots of action and intrigue. The romances set in the Regency period have a bit of intrigue and lots of humor. This year look for the first installment of my fantasy series, TRIALS OF HALLION, Two of Swords, book 1.
