This book was everything I had hoped for as an advanced beginner for Google Ads. However, I believe due to how many subjects it touches upon in-depth, it will be useful for multiple levels of experience. Whether you're a novice who hasn't even opened your Google Ads & Google Analytics account or if you're an expert who is looking for ways to improve. This is because the book goes beyond just Google Ads and actually touches on thing like e-mail marketing and marketing strategy in general.
The authors makes the concepts of the book quite easy to understand and keep it enjoyable to read.
The only downside is that Google Ads change so rapidly that more and more things will be out-of-date over time. As of this moment though, it is very up-to-date, and it will probably still be worth reading for the next 5 years unless Google completely overhauls Google Ads during that period. I would defintely recommend to anyone looking to expand their knowledge on Google Ads.
It is important to find a tool that will work effectively with your business. Reddit’s targeting tools allow advertisers to choose between interest-based, community-based, and custom targeting. This flexibility means you can test different audiences quickly and find the most profitable segments. For example, a tech startup can target r/technology while a fitness brand might focus on r/Fitness. More information about this can be found here https://aimers.io/blog/reddit-ads-cost . The ability to reach such concentrated groups is rare on other platforms. This precision can result in higher relevance scores and lower costs per click.
Practical and hands-on. A solid introduction to Google Ads (and how to prevent Google from taking all your money) and some digital marketing basics. I found Chapters 1-11 and the bits on choosing a niche the most useful. The rest was either irrelevant to me (advertising on YouTube and in Gmail) or felt like superficial fluff.
This book contains a lot of self-advertising and some of the examples are from shady businesses (like "alternative" medicine), but even so it manages to provide a good starting point for the nuts and bolts of Google Ads
This is the most comprehensive book on the PPC topic that I've ever read. No BS advice. Only proven valid tested strategy outlined here in this book. If you're on a fence, het it now and thank me later.
An excellent overview of Google ads for everyone from beginners to intermediate. Advanced users may not get much out of this but as an upper intermediate user I got a TON of useful information. Well written, easy to read, and overall a solid resource.
A solid introduction to the world of Google Ads. I liked the general principle that the book was preaching - how not to give away too much money to Google. At the same time, when relevant, it encourages to use Google's machine learning when picking the bidding strategies for various keywords.
I also liked that some general principles of marketing were well introduced in the context of Google Ads. Be sure you know what is your business' USPs. Follow the 80/20 rules - also in Google Ads, 20% of the keywords bring you 80% of profit. Measure relentlessly - most don't do that, so you can have an edge there.
Some chapters were somewhat superficial, some included a lot of self-promotion by the authors.
