When dragon shifter billionaire Damian Blackwood is pressured into testing his new company’s dating app, the last thing he expects is to find is an actual connection...
Weird work hours make normal dating near impossible for Nurse Andi. When a colleague recommends a new dating app, Andi signs on for some fun, never thinking it would go far…
Can you begin falling for someone you’ve never seen? And who has only sent you cat pictures?
Kara Lockharte is the author of the Space Shifters Chronicles. She loves writing romances with sexy alpha shifters and the strong heroines who can't resist them.
4 Stars for Dragons Don’t Date (audiobook) by Cassie Alexander and Kara Lockharte read by Victoria Mei.
This was a fun short story to start out the series. I’m usually not into dragons but I love Cassie Alexander’s writing. I’m looking forward to getting into this series.
As always, only the best from Kara & Cassie .....absolutely love this story . It was an ARC but I would have gotten it anyways. These two authors write the best stuff !!!

************ This is a prequel short story to Cassie Alexander & Kara Locharte’s Prince of the Other Worlds series. As such it’s definitely open ended and offering a taste of the world and main characters Damian Blackwood & Andi Ngo.
Loved the ‘Dragon Dating’ app as a vehicle for these two getting to know each other without actually meeting. Cute and sometimes sexy banter.
Ready to dive into book 1, Dragon Called.
Narration: This was my first time listening to Victoria Mei and I enjoyed her performance. Great job on consistent voices for all the characters as well as bringing the emotions of the text through. Great listen.
I received a copy of the audiobook from Home Cooked Books and am leaving an honest review.
Fun-fill introduction to the “Prince of the Other Worlds” series. A quick read which will tempt you to take this journey with our wonderful characters, Damian and Andi. This is a great series. I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is a very short prequel with strong characters and an interesting story line. It's an intriguing insight with the dating app and a touch of the supernatural. I enjoyed the texts between Andi and Damien and am looking forward to the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Talking cat. Weird how I think "dragon-shifter, whatever" and shrug. But a talking cat? Really? This is where my suspension of disbelief draws a line? ;-)
Fun prequel and good start to Prince of the Otherworlds series. Andi and Damian's dating app texts are cute and sexy. Can't wait to read the next book. Loved the characters, including the cat!
I received this book for free from the authors and wished to leave a review.
It was adorable! But now I want more. Do they meet, does the cat text her back.. I just have to know how it turns out.I will be looking for more from this author.
This audio novella was short and sweet and a little spicy! Victoria Mei’s narration was so wonderful, it was easy for me to get caught up in the dry banter, nervous interest and chemistry between Andi and Damian. I’m giving 5 stars because it definitely left me wanting more!
This is a short prequel to the Prince of the Other Worlds series, a Slow Burn Sexy Paranormal Romance. Damian Blackwood, a protective dragon shifter billionaire, is enigmatic, and powerful. Andi, a nurse, is smart, independent, sassy, and strong. They are both intriguing characters. I liked their banter! They meet on a dating app and they fast connected. The story is well written, original, and captivating. The storyline is fast-paced, filled with intrigue and humor. The cat Grim is a great addition to the story. Victoria Mei did an excellent job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice very pleasant to listen to. Looking forward to listening to Dragon Called, the next book in the series. #HomeCookedBooks #
Super cute prequel shorty of a story. It baits the hook just enough that I'm going to dive straight into book 1... I need more!!
The audio is a little treat of a snack narrated solo by Victoria Mei. It was fun to listen to, there wasn't a lot to the story, mostly witty banter between the characters on a dating app, but enough to whet my appetite making me want more of the story and to see how these characters will sound once things get really heated.
I requested and was generously provided with a copy of the audio. These are my honest thoughts.
What a great start to series I am looking forward to. I liked how real Damian became with Andi. He really does let it all out but life is real and it gets in the way. I like how honest they were with each other, when it could have been so easy to fall in to the same rut as before.
The Cat and the photo's cracked me up I loved it. Great narration too I really enjoyed it.
Dragons, Werewolves and Cats. Oh My! Zack, The werewolf, has made a dating app and he wants Damien, Dragon Shifter, to try the app to get a date. Damien meets Andy on this app and realizes he loves talking to her. That novella was sad, I felt bad for Andy. I liked it and I liked the characters. It was the perfect teaser to start of the series.
This is a quick listen but don’t let that deter you. It has lovely characters and a fascinating story that makes me want more! The banter and possibilities between the characters is very good. It drew me in and now I just want more…oops I just said that!
I did listen to this on audio. Victoria Mei did a wonderful job! This isn't the first time I have listened to her but it is always a pleasure.
Dragons Don’t Date is a short, fun filled introduction to the series we meet billionaire dragon shifter Damien who has been persuaded by his team to try out his companies new dating app as between overseeing a billion-dollar empire and protecting this world from the other realms he doesn’t have time to get out and date. Andi is a nurse and works a permanent night shift so going out and dating the old-fashioned way is out of the question, so when a colleague suggests setting up a profile on a new dating app, she decides to give it a go. To her surprise an intriguing guy messages her and they hit it off. Will Damien and Andi meet and their attraction blossom into something more, or are there just too many differences between them for their sexy texts to develop into a relationship?
This book is super cute, I just wish it was a little bit longer. I understand the concept and everything but I just feel like it was too short to fully enjoy if you know what I mean.
In this short novel we follow Damian Blackwood who ended up getting pressured into trying a new dating app that his company is launching and ends of finding Nurse Andi and the one thing he never expected, a real connection.
With her everything seems normal but they are far from it. This book truly questions the idea of falling for someone before you ever seen them. It is very cute and a great addition to the first in the series.
This was a very short prequel that after reading the first couple of books, I'm not sure was required. We get a brief introduction to the 2 MCs but there is really little of the actual story here. If anything this could have worked as a prologue in the first book in the series. The audio was good though so between that and the fact that it's under an hour, it was an easy listen and I just went right into book one. I don't feel like the prequel really added to the story overall, but it was okay.
It's cute, for an intro. I am not sure I would call it a book. I am torn as to whether or not I will continue with the series. I feel like it is a giant cliffhanger, but there wasn't enough meat to the story to get the characters to stick in my mind and make me need to find out more. I have added them to my TBR file, but had no pressing need to buy them right away. Which is slightly disappointing, because the cat was arrogantly adorable & the characters seemed to have an almost realistic connection.
This is the first short story in the Prince of the Other Worlds series by Cassie Lockharte. 29 pages a cute fun short story and a glimpse into a new world and a new series. Damian in a Dragon Shifter and Andi is a Nurse both are on a dating app, and make contact with each other. Through a few days of texting they decide to meet for coffee downtown, Damian gets a message that he is needed in a rift fight just as he gets to the coffee shop. Texting Pool Girl sorry this won't work, he leaves to help his team. Will they ever hook up?? I might have to read this series and find out Lol
Love this introduction to the series RECOMMENDED don't miss out! This is a great series. Really, get this introduction to this shifter alien fighters series. You won't be sorry. l have read all three books and have this one also on Audible. The characters , talking cat, weird happenings and shifters have left an impression on me and l really look forward to more books. The narrations was great and l wholeheartedly recommended both this author and her books.
Dragons Don't Date is a couple of scenes to introduce the Prince of the Other Worlds series. I listened to the audiobook and Victoria Mei does a great job with the narration. This is my first book by Cassie Alexander and/or Kara Lockharte, as well as the first time I'm reading anything in the shifter category. There's no cliffhanger; it just shares a little background before starting the series.
I received a copy of the audiobook at my request, and the opinion here is my own.
This is very short, Hello-how-do-you-do type story about how Andi and Damian first met, even if they didn't know it at the time. I've read the first book, Dragon called, already and I know this meeting wasn't brought up in that story. I'm wondering if it is ever brought up. I'm looking forward to finding out.
I hope in the next book we get to see more of all the characters, especially Zach and Grim.
I loved this series and this prequel short story was pretty awesome. Both Andi and Damian join a dating app under assumed names and with no pictures and have some fun exchanges, including his companion/cat Grim sending her pictures of himself, but never meet. It was good at showing their personalities and how well they would get along if they ever met.
A cute, short prequel. This is a good start to the series. It's just a short that gives you how Damien was trying out a dating app. his company was purchasing and how he found and flirted with Andi. Loved listening to it. The narrators did a good job telling it.
I received a copy through BookFunnel and volunteered to leave a review.
Damian (dragon) and Andi (human) "meet" on a dating app, and both find a connection there that was unexpected. Not much happens in this short story, and maybe if you've read the series, this would mean a lot, but I was kind of baffled over how it didn't really go anywhere.
A fun prequel to start off the series. Gives a great introduction to the whole premise of the story. Looking forward to listening the 4 books in the series. Victoria Mei is wonderful with her narration. Solo narration with multiple characters is a challenge but she does it flawlessly.
