Wow! This book had multiple aspects that I loved. Suspense, violence, action, and even romance. John Wick is one of my favorite movies and it reminded me of that in a some ways because of the vigilante aspect.

Not only is Jon Drake on a mission to take down a very powerful man that murdered his father, but he also crosses paths with a childhood friend who is on her own personal mission and somehow, he finds love in the process. A must read if you love a plot that reels you in and keeps you turning the pages!

I really enjoyed this book, this is not the typical type of book I usually read, but it kept me going. It’s a bout a guy that wants to get revenge on the man that killed his father. He gets kidnapped and taken to Brazil and ends up getting trained by the cartel. Then his long time girl friend is also looking to get revenge for the death of her father. There’s a good amount of twists in it, and had many parts where I couldn’t stop laughing. In the end it turned out to be a pretty happy ending.

Jon Drake is amazing! I would highly recommend reading this action packed book!!

Jon Drake's reputation proceeds him. His mom was murdered and he wants justice. Vladimair wants Jon to go back to his home town to kill Alexander Caine. When Jon goes back to his home town he runs into a old friend Jessica. Will Jessica get in Jon's way of completing his mission?

This book is action packed, and full of twists. The book is so well written, the character's and storyline and keeps your attention from page one. I had the hardest time putting this book down! This is the first book I've read from this author and I'm looking forward to reading more!

Guys. If you are looking for action packed suspense ride. This is definitely the book for you. I could not put it down. I was reading it at red lights to and from work. A definite page turner!! From start all the way to finish it is full of action! This book is definitely a fast paced book!
This book follows Jon Drake, a troubled alcoholic who is trying to deal with past and current problems. When he was a kid his father was murdered in front of him then he was kidnapped. Jon cannot trust anyone. He is surrounded by backstabbers, murderers, liars, and cheaters. The only thing Jon Drake can count on is there is always someone trying to end him. Jon is sent on a mission back in his home town where he runs into a lifelong friend and crush of his. They eventually find out they are on the same path to bringing justice to murdered family members. They deal with kidnappings, murder, drug abuse, hit men, the most goes on! They have to stop a certain group from trying to kill everyone and take over the world in a “rebirth”. This book was crazy good! It definitely keeps you wanting more and you definitely will not expect that ending! It definitely has you wanting more! I can’t wait to read about Jon Drakes next adventure!

From the moment the protagonist, Jon Drake, enters O’Reilly’s pub the action is ceaseless. The Legion of Samurai become involved and you are never sure whether they are friend or foe, whereas Jessica Hudson changes the flow of this ripping yarn, is she trying to soften our lead man? Cain is a frightful character who craves complete ownership of everything and everyone. Vengeance and emotion carry you through the novel, it gets its hooks in you and the grip is never relinquished.

I enjoyed the character driven storylines. Interestingly, one specific area I liked was the time difference used during the storyline. This area is something that can confuse readers, yet, in this case it is crucial to the plot, and easy to follow.

Whether you purchase the novel or download the eBook. You will not be disappointed. Robert Hayek knows how to compose an excellent yarn.

I absolutely loved Jon Drake ! I highly recommend this book to all action thriller readers out there looking for something original and full of beautifully woven twists and turns. To start, I really enjoyed how it pulls you in with a bar fight. Already sets the tone for this action-packed rollercoaster. I also definitely want to highlight my favorite character, Jessica! She is gives very strong, boss female energy. The epitome of a badass. Among these two highlights, I would just lastly like to share that I have definitely become Robert Hayek fan. I'm excited to finish the next one in his series!

I am grateful to have received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is an action-packed, fun, easy read. For those who enjoy John Wick and Kill Bill style stories and writing, this book is for you! Everyone has some sort of training, revenge is always at hand, and the bad guys do not stop coming. It is full of fun twists, turns, and action that, as expected, are not always so realistic, but definitely keep you entertained! This is a fun read for our adult and mature young adult action readers.

The cover leaves something to be desired. This is a dark, serious, novel hell bent on revenge so it won’t have a bright flashy cover but something to grab the would be reader’s attention because the book it’s self is great.
A man going back to his home town for revenge? And to help your high school sweetheart out along the way? Wonderful! I held my breath many times right along with Jessica. The ending was satisfying but in a town where people are dropping like flies I recommend staying away.
