Profumo. Alla ricerca della tua fragranza

Rate this book

informative and insightful from a contemporary perfume collector (and writer)'s point of view, easy reading and comprehensible even by non-perfume industry insiders, clear section by accord to reflect years of research, effort, and passion over fragrance collecting, olfactory beauty and heritage.

An informative book, cleverly divided into perfume genres and notes so it's easy to reference if you have a hankering for a specific scent.
Full of genuine love and passion for the subject, beautifully and intelligently written, this is the perfect antidote to the often poisonous Luca and Tanya.
Oh, and the book is GORGEOUS! But as every perfumista knows: a beautiful vessel is worth nothing if the contents are dreck which is absolutely not the case here.

Mr. Chapman accurately explains the power and importance of fragrance in our technological world. He first inspires and then explains all things perfume related in a manner that is easily understood. He provides visual representations of specific perfumes that are palpable. He does exactly what Mr. Holland in Mr. Holland’s Opus does; “He loves” it “and makes us love it too”. Bravo Neil Chapman!

Similar to The Guides by Turin and Sanchez, but the reviews are less caustic and arranged by fragrance family.
