Three beautifully haunted and damaged men, fleeing from the satanic cult that raised them. The apocalypse is coming, horsemen and all. If they don't stop it, their bodies will become nothing more than meat-suits to demons. Princes of Hell that are already seeping into their beings, battling for control.
Can I help them?
Well, that depends on how nicely they treat me. You see, I'm not a very good genie. I don’t like following orders, I’m partial to twisting up my owner’s emotions for kicks, and I'm running from my own apocalyptic fate — an eternity in purgatory for the crime of murdering a previous owner. Oops.
They’re about to learn that summoning me brings a whole load of fresh hell with it. If any of us survive this mess, it’ll be a miracle.
Fans of supernatural romance will love this strong-willed, witty genie and her three men who range from sweet, haunted soul to brooding, murderous alphahole! It’s a dark and steamy ride… for a full list of TWs/CWs, check the author’s website.
Deliciously dark... because romance isn't always sweet.
Nicola Rose is from the UK, where she lives with her husband and two boys. When she's not writing or reading, she can probably be found on family days out hiking and mountain-biking in the countryside, messing in Photoshop, and playing board games in her pjs!

Dark, witty, smoking hot and practically addictive. This book is badass awesome!
Sam, Phoenix and Andras, three beautifully haunted and damaged men, are on the run. Fleeing from the satanic cult that raised them. Groomed to become the vessels of three Princes of Hell they are meant to be nothing more than meat-suits to demons. And those are already seeping into their beings, battling for control. If preventing that from happening means stopping the very apocalypse from taking place, horsemen and all, so be it. The guys are determined to do it. But for that they need help. And summoning a djinn was their only choice.
Aadhya is a ginni gone rogue, running from her own apocalyptic fate — an eternity in purgatory for the crime of murdering a previous owner. Hunted by demons she's saved at the last minute by the summoning of her three new Masters.
Now please bear in mind that Aadhya is not a very good genie. She doesn't like following orders, she's sassy and foulmouthed and partial to twisting up her owners' emotions just for kicks. And imagine her surprise when she finds herself summoned to the 'shittiest of shitty summoning rooms' by three guys who not only have absolutely no idea how to handle a djinn, but are also practically speechless because.... she's a 'woman'.
'"Oh, sweet mercy give me strength. Never in all my summonings have I encountered such raw intelligence!" She drew a deep breath. "Come on then, out with it. How'd a bunch of imbeciles like you manage to summon me? You stumble across the lamp? You pay someone?"
Of course Aadhya doesn't believe the guys when they tell her their role in what she already knows is coming. So she's determined to teach them, that summoning a djinn like her brings a whole load of fresh hell with it. But shite keeps hitting the fan with the guys around and for the first time in her existence Aadhya starts being inclined to help instead of simply following orders, or screwing them over. Because her new masters are intoxicating. Dark and dangerous but also perfect gentlemen. At times, they act like emotionally unstable psychos and at others like little lost boys crying out for help. And for the first time ever, this djinn starts to feel. Just as her broken scarred masters.
Aadhya is torn in between her desire to fulfill her own agenda, while Sam, Phoenix and Andras struggle to keep their demons at bay. And all the while, the bonds between them deepen, despite their reluctance to accept them.
Written in 4 different POVs, Twisted Ginni is a fast-paced and incredibly addictive tale that I couldn't set down. The action is first class and the characters beautifully fleshed out, with an irresistible dynamic. And don't even let me get started on the feeling! That was the highlight of the tale for me.
Twists you don't see coming beautifully amplify an edge-of-the-seat plot with vivid scenes and a nicely built setting. And the best part of it all, heartbreaking dark scenes that bring a reader to tears are fabulously balanced with badass laugh out loud moments and sweet or smutty scenes, bringing a very nice balance in between light and darkness, brutality and gentleness as well as fun, feeling and steam.
Twisted Ginni is the first book I've read by Nicola Rose and it will certainly not be my last. I highly recommend it to any paranormal RH fan out there, with this heartfelt nudge:
You have got to read this people! It is Badass Awesome!!

This wasn’t really good or bad it was for me just OK I did enjoy elements of the story and the story arc itself was unique and imaginative. But really this could have been so much better especially considering the theme in fact I was expecting so much more from this than what was actually delivered.
Ginni is Djinn she’s on the run from demons after she killed her last master which is against the rules and now she’s looking at a sentence of purgatory so the summoning by a new master couldn’t have come at a more convenient time. But instead of the usual one she now finds herself with three Phoenix Sam and Andras the human vessels awaiting the reluctant arrival of three princess of hell and desperate to stop the coming apocalypse and the use of there unwilling bodies.
These men all around I think about twenty have grown up in a sadistic cult. Groomed for there future role by there fanatical parents and abused and forced into situations they had no choice about. They have participated in some diabolical rituals and under the threat of punishment murdered as well as so much worse. There particular demons who there marked for simmer below the surface getting stronger the closer the blood moon approaches. During the last sacrificial ritual they managed to flee but now they are desperate to avert there fate which is where Ginnie come in.
Ginnie is neither good or bad she just is she has no particular magic but does have skills. She can shape-shift and turn invisible into her spirit form. Harnessing natural energy she can heal when called she’s bound for a year total and her masters are all eventually drawn to her. Whichever human form she chooses she’s stuck with for the duration. Hating being beholden to a master she delves in there heads and usually picks something she knows they will hate just to mess with them hence why this time she arrives complete with a skull face mask. So yeah overall the actual story was interesting and for the most part I did like Ginnie she was definitely my favourite character that’s for sure but I did have some issues with the whole character dynamics.
So this was a reverse harem which I am partial to. In this particular trope there needs to be a balance in the harem connections so no bias at least when they’ve all eventually connected and on the same wavelength. But here I felt favouritism from Ginnie Sam was definitely the front runner and this impacted the whole experience for me . It was like he was her main objective her soul mate if you will and the other two were just extras. Also the chemistry for me here was off slightly and I also never felt truly connected to anyone case proved when later I had no emotional reaction by certain events that usually would have had me so emotional.
And the finish for me here felt rushed and very easily resolved it was a bit anticlimactic after the initial build-up. I also didn’t wholly believe in the bonds formed. I could definitely see Sams but Andras and Phoenix just hadn’t had enough earlier screen time to get to that point with me so despite them declaring there love I just wasn’t really convinced.
Look this wasn’t a bad read it was actually well written but it was such an initial interesting concept that I just felt slightly disappointed in the way this actually evolved when it could have been so bloody epic. I did enjoy it for the most part and it’s certainly unique and I did love the whole concept which was very imaginative. So yeah ok read that definitely could have been so much more.
I didn’t love this book, but I didn’t hate it either. There wasn’t any noticeable editing errors.
My issue with the book was the romance. Yes we see her attraction to the guys, but for the majority of the book she was just using them to gain her freedom. Our main character is a djinn, and the 3 guys are her current masters. Her goal is to make them fall in love with her to gain her freedom, while their goal is to stop the demons from taking over their bodies and bringing about the end of the world. Idk, the concept is super interesting, but the way it was written kind of fell flat for me personally. You might really love it though! I just didn’t really feel the love between them. I definitely felt favoritism to one of the guys, and personally, there wasn’t enough steam in the book for me, at all! Usually I feel like I know the characters I’m reading about, I just didn’t feel all that connected to these characters unfortunately. Overall it wasn’t a bad read, and I really enjoyed reading about a djinn, it just isn’t a favorite for me.
Blurb: Some call me Djinn. Some call me Genie. Some call me Demon.
I only ever get to call them one thing — Master.
Only, this time, it's not one master, it's three.

A trio of the perfect blend of alpha-asshole, calm center, and beautifully-broken soul all wrapped in a fantastically crafted story. Ms. Rose makes us crave an understanding of the basest desires of these battered souls caught in their destiny, all while enjoying Ginni's fun with it.
This is my favorite kind of romance; a little dark, a little twisted, and all story driven. This book would have been great even without the troupe :) I cared about the characters. I was intrigued about their pasts that led to each characters present, and I especially felt the heartache throughout. Real, visceral reaction to the reader comes time after time in this delicious story.
A page turner, I was caught from the first. Never was there a chance I could put this one down, reading right until the end. And what an end! Jaw dropping, tear-falling surprise, followed by another and another, until you're not sure if you can handle any more. Don't worry, you'll be happy you kept on. Trust me.
Okay - this is my first read by Nicola (I was lucky to win an arc) and I am completely won over. This cover is flipping gorgeous and the plot and characters are even better! This book was intense, dark, yet hilarious at moments with characters that I couldn’t stop myself from falling in love with. It checked all the boxes for me - broken yet strong characters; an insane plot packed with enough action, suspense, chemistry and sexual tension I was to the point of screaming. I loved Ginni - a mischief djinn that is so strong, smart, funny, and brave. Sam, Phoenix, and Andra - each of these guys are tortured yet strong and so determined to not let their fate be chosen for them by a different party. Honestly, this book had it all - if you like paranormal romances with hot broody men and a strong female heroine, definitely check this out.
****I received an arc from the author in exchange for my honest review****
A dark, steamy apocalyptic RH book. Ginni (a Djinn FMC) is summoned by Andras, Phoenix & Sam to help them out. An apocalypse is coming and due to a sadistic cult they are all the catalyst for it all. Being put through years of torture and bring the vessels of Demons too. Even though Ginni is overtly sexual and a non-stop flirt but at the heart of her is a lot of hurt that stems from her past. Which i think kind of made her slowly empathize with the guys who each have their own anxieties and problems. A hard read in some parts but at the heart of it was the relationship between Ginni & the guys. Which was steamy but over the course of the book a caring one too. A cracking read if you like your romance books a little darker. Which i do
This was a dark, interesting story with a unique take on Djinn's, hell, demons, and cults. I love dark reads, but have never been a fan of rapey scenes. I will be honest and say that I skimmed those parts. The author handled switching pov's quite well and made for a gripping tale for her characters and their tragic back stories. I will be interested in reading future RH books from this author, however I will probably skip the dark ones.
So this book was NOTHING like I was expecting! At. All!
It's dark, it's twisty and it's fucking hilarious, it takes real talent to be able to bring humour out in the darkness but Nicola nails it!
The only way I can really describe this book is as a masterpiece, I was hooked from the prologue trying to put all the crumbs together, and I should know by now when it comes to Nicola's books - nothing is as it seems. NOTHING.
Ginni was amazing, she's a djinn now shackled to 3 masters, but will she do as they say or will she let her inner darkness take over? She's funny, sassy, and far too intelligent for her own good 😂 she literally finds loopholes in any command given to her so she can perform her own trickery and I think that's why I loved her so much 😍
Sam, Phoenix and Andras have been raised to house the Princes of Hell, it's a race against time to save themselves or let their demons take over.
They're all different but strong in their own ways, I loved all of them and as I'm fairly new to RH I didn't expect to love them all as much as I did!
Nicola's character building makes you fall in love with all them and I felt connected to them and their story. 🖤
Another stunning novel from Nicola! Gripping from page one, a cast of characters you'll love more with a very chapter and a main character who is absolutely brilliant! I could not put this down and consider myself very lucky to have been able to read this book as an advance copy. Looking forward, as always, to more!!
I loved this book from the sarcastic comments to the different personality of the characters. the romance is set at a great pace and everything was wrapped up at a great pace and I think the scenes are great and detailed with nice relationships, perfect romantic ending.i think the personality of ginni is great and i love that it shows great girl power against other fragile females i love that she is powerful and strong and sensual.
This was about satanic cults with virigin sacrifices but somehow it was still kind of sweet. Well the ending was sweet. I really enjoyed this and I'll definitely read more rh book from this author.
A devious djinn, three tortured brooding men and one satanic cult... I mean what’s not to love?
Firstly I’d like to say that this is the first book I’ve ever read by this author and I was not disappointed! I’m honestly surprised that this was the authors first RH that she has written because, this book was so well written and well executed.
This book took me completely by surprise! And I LOVED IT! I’ve not read a reverse harem like this before it was entirely unique and fascinating! I love how this author created a truly amazingly world and storyline!
I loved Ginni she was extremely resilient and true to herself (most of the time). I loved her mischievous ways and how she always had a way of finding trouble! I loved how her relationship formed and grew with guys! While I really enjoyed that the attraction was almost instant. What I loved more was that it wasn’t acted on straight way and that it grew to intense levels of sexual tension!
I loved Sam, Phoenix and Andra so much! They were all extremely different making each of them unique! Sam the tortured broken man with a stutter, Phoenix the calm before the storm and Andra the psycho alpha a-hole. All had broken pasts, each looking for revenge and each-other’s lifelines firmly holding themselves together as much as they possibly could until Ginni came and turned their world even more upside down with her sassy attitude and devious ways!
A gripping read with some really intense moments in! And the sexual tension was electrifying at moments you wanted them all to give into it. If you love a supernatural reverse harem standalones then this one is for you!
Who here loves the why-choose of Reverse-Harem? Who here loves the dark and dirty paranormal romance?
I know I do on both accounts, and if you do too, then seriously preorder your copy of this book today!!
I'm talking demons, and genies, and crazy satanic cults all wrapped up in one sinfully delicious novel.
Three hauntedly beautiful men on the run. From a satanic cult, and the apocalypse that is quickly approaching. One Djinn who was forced into their servitude, to help but also has trouble following her wherever she goes. Can she help save these broken men from their fates?
Seriously you guys! I am fairly new to RH, only having read a handful of them up to this point. But I love Nicola's books. How they are raw, dark, dirty and delicious, and this definitely fit the bill. Demons are one of my favorite paranormal creatures, but loved the idea of a genie- not having read one before- and loved watching her form to life on the pages.
Ginni was forever walking the balance of good and evil- she doesn't particularly like following orders, and twists up the commands, to mess with her masters. She is sarcastic and sassy, and more then the boys bargained for.
Andras, Phoenix, and Sam were trying to flee their trouble- not knowing they invited trouble in when they summoned the Genie. Each one harboring something dark within. And if the darkness takes over, it will be hell on earth... Literally. 4 sinful ⭐ out of 5 ⭐.
"You done staring?" Your smile is breathtaking." "It's all yours. I've never smiled for anyone else. Ever. You own it."
Dear heaven help us all. Not only was there not a dry panty in the house with this one but not a dry eye either. This story was nothing like I thought it would be. I knew it would be great.. I had no idea just how great it would be. I wanted to savor it and make it last forever. Sam... Sam you beautiful, damaged, sweet demon you!!! I LOVE YOU!!! This man touched my heart and then Nicola ripped it out. HAHA In the best possible way. Nicola has this ability to create these characters that come to life and burrow themselves so deep into your heart that you legit break a sweat muttering "please don't die" over and over again. These three brothers are so damaged and have such a savage history but completely fall apart for this girl. It is beautifully tragic. A masterpiece of words and emotions. I loved these characters so much and they will forever have a place in my heart. If you love PNR read this! If you love RH read this! If you love sarcastic, witty FMC who kicks ass and doesn't lay down to any man/demon you need to read this! If you love hot, huge tormented demons facing an impending apocalypse you need to read this!
I was given an arc copy of this book for a honest review. After reading the symposis it sounded amazing and it didn’t disappoint. A total refreshing read with a different take to a demons, djinn and a evil cult.
It's a dark and sexy read with added danger thrown in. Ginni will have you laughing out loud, she's a djinn with a bad ass attitude whilst getting the better of her 3 masters by trying to find loopholes in any command given to her. She has her own secret agenda.
Sam, Phoenix and Andras were raised by a cult to be the vessels for the Princes of Hell, after escaping their horror, they have until the third eclipse to stop their parents and cult from allowing the demons to invade their bodies and bring the apocalypse to the world.
The characters are well written, and they all have their own twisted issues that have to overcome. My only criticism would of been I would of liked more development with Phoenix and Andras as it did focus on Sam a lot. Overall a highly enjoyable read.
I’ve not read any of this author work before but will be looking at what other books she has written as throughly enjoyed her take on the usual fantasy Rh stories.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed that this book had djinn as the main female character instead of one of the other overused supernatural creatures like vampires, witches, or werewolves. The “rules” for djinn/ genies were also different than the norm and I enjoyed the new take. Particularly, I enjoyed how Ginni was constantly having an internal battle with herself on whether she should be good or bad. It was both comical at times and a little sad at other points. My main problem with the book is that Sam seemed like the only one of the main male characters that got the storyline/ character development he deserved. The other two lacked in plot material. Basically, Andras just stays a jerk the entire time with nothing really interesting going on with him (he’s also not very likable) and poor Phoenix seems like he’s completely a second thought. Sam is a sweetheart though, and I enjoyed him. I feel like if Phoenix was given more time in the book, he would’ve shined. It just seemed like a book about Sam and Ginni that occasionally featured the others when it was convenient to add them. Overall it was enjoyable.

I’d been seeing this one around for a while and it sounded so good. I was expecting a lot more romance though instead of the focus being on escaping the cult’s grip and the impending possession. I found it was a bit slow, and I skimmed a majority of the book. It just wasn’t really what I was expecting, and I wasn’t as interested in the demonic possession and cult. I did think the writing was pretty good, and the characters were well written. Each of the boys has major traumas from growing up in a demonic/apocalyptic cult. Ginni was an okay character. She had her moments of being sweet and funny, but she was also kind of annoying at times. I found the same to be true with the boys. This just wasn’t the story I thought it would be, so I’m let down by my own expectations. I wouldn’t read it again.
This if the first time I have read something written by Nicola Rose and gosh, am I in love! I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to receive an ARC copy of "Twisted Ginni" and yes yes yes!
With a djinn shackled to three masters who bit of more than they could chew when they summoned this sassy, sarcastic and funny wish granting badass.
If you're a lover of not only Reverse Harem, but Paranormal as well as than this book is the one for you!
I admit I did find this story a bit hard to get into but as the story progressed I fell in love and I'm not just talking about adding another book boyfriend to my never ending list. I loved the unique spin on the generic three wishes, because who wouldn't love having a year's worth of wishes?
With a unique plot and a heroine that won't bow for anyone, you'll definitely love "Twisted Ginni" and damn, I got to say. The cover is just fantastic!
Just amazing ! This was interesting, fun, hot, badass, emotional, it was everything. At the end I was having a heart attack! But, I did think something like that was going to happen, except I thought it would end on a cliffhanger and they did the whole ritual but they’d be able to like combat the darkness and remain themselves, and then they’d have to go down there to rescue one of them and that would be the second book. And well it didn’t happen like that, but you know what, I actually prefer it this way, they deserved happiness and a chance at a normal life so I’m happy with the ending and overall the whole story. The plot, the characters, the relationships, Billy! Amazing man, just magnifico 🤌🏻😙

Sam, Andreas, and Phoenix have been raised (abused) in a cult, told they were destined to have demons take of their bodies. The rituals are partially done and they are attempting to figure out how to stop it? They end up summoning Ginni who is a little (okay a lot) twisted herself. Ginni is pretty jaded from the life of a djinn - but she has found ways to twist things so that she can get what she wants and subvert wishes if she doesn’t like her master. Andras is pretty much an alphahole, Phoenix is the rational/calm one, and Sam is the broken but sweet one. I liked how they relationships formed indivdually at first. This story is fast-paced, steamy, and fun. I do wish we had found out what their biggest sins were. This is the first book I have read by this author but it won’t be the last!
This book just totally blew my mind. I never truly know what to expect with this author but I’m always pleased! The characters and how they all had this connection. Guhhhh it was utterly perfect.
Ginni will always be a favorite of mine. Her zero fs given attitude is everything I love. She cares deep down but man did the layers need peeled back.
The guys, the culture of their upbringing. The torment poured off the pages. So perfect!
Absolutely loved this book! When it first began I had already made up my mind how it would turn out and a brief overview of things that would happen but fudge on a cracker things went different than I expected! And I loved that! The guessing to me is the best part. ❤️❤️ Sure bad things happen but the outcome of those things are what made this book amazballs to me. The struggles they dealt with and then the ending broke my heart and built it up again. 😭😭😍😍👍👍👍 Stoked to see what comes next in this line up.
First let me state that I received an advanced reader copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Holy shiznet!!! This story is gr8. A djinn, and three damaged men coming to start the apocalypse is what this story is about. I enjoyed Ginni, she was funny and scary. I was grabbed from page one and couldn't put it down. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Holy Moly this is a bloody brilliant read it’s definitely a dark romance and sexy as hell, I loved the characters especially Ginni she loves to play by her own rules, this is a very emotional story I felt sorry for the guys they escaped from a cult they had done bad things but that was the demon inside of them. Sorry guys no spoilers but this is a brilliant story I loved it and I highly recommend this book.
I very much enjoyed this book! I loved all the main characters! Although sometimes I felt a little pulled away from the switching of the point of view, and I felt like it could have had more detailed descriptions of some of the scenes, I enjoyed this read. I’d recommend this to someone if they like dark romance for sure!
I loved this book! It was well written and just sucked you in right from the start. I loved that the FMC was a badass and had a backbone. I was also pleasantly surprised by the different take on how Djinn/Genie which made me love the book even more. This book is a RH and does have some triggers. I would recommend this to anyone and was well worth the read!
I absolutly loved this book. Ginni has to be one of my favorite characters I have ever read. The guys were unique and compelling. Each called to a different part of me. I wanted to scream there at the end! My only complaint is it is driving me nuts wanting to know exactly what her sin was.
