Single Vampire - Mated Alpha
A Mpreg Gay Shifter Novel.
"Wait! Because he's got our old Alpha's body, we have to stay with him? We're mated? Don't we get a say?"
For centuries, Westley has had one goal: rid himself of a vampire curse and his creator to feel alive again.
Freed from a relationship with a cruel Alpha, Omegas Tyler and Ryan can live better lives within the parameters of Shifter law. With a binding contract that gives them to the body of a wolf, they find themselves face-to-face with their former Alpha's body—but with a much different occupant.
Now the Alpha with no interest in mates and a pair of Omegas who desperately want freedom must coexist. Their unusual predicament just may open their eyes to the one thing each has been missing their entire lives.
Will three broken souls discover solace in each other before Westley's creator finds them and tear their lives to pieces?
This 67,000 word gay Mpreg romance is set in a paranormal Omegaverse. It contains detailed descriptions of steamy bedroom encounters with a HEA ending.
While this is in a shared universe, each story is written to stand on its own four feet.

The first thing that jumped out about this book is the fact that there is a town called Whispering Hills where you find your true soul mate. I am a hopeless romantic and true love in any form is a treat. That being said I believe that this story had a lot of good ideas , ie (vampires, shifters, omega and alpha relationships) it gave me all the feels. I feel that it fell short because it tended to jump topics and even though it was told in first person perspective and every chapter was labeled I sometimes did not know who was speaking. I found myself re- reading several times but it gave me an opportunity to see things I missed on the first read.
Topics of interest for my fellow romance lovers are
-Mpreg
-alpha/ omega
-MMM 😋
- scenting each other
-group sex /ménage
-enemies to lovers
- strong male lead
-alpha is 200+ years old
- Bratty littles
P.S. Westley’s master is awful like want to bust the windows out his car. Jk no seriously where is a brick 🧱

SINGLE VAMPIRE - MATED ALPHA is the fourth book in the Whispering Hills series and I really feel it would have been beneficial to read at least book one in this series before reading this one as there are a lot of characters and situations mentioned more than once that I have absolutely no knowledge about. However, if you don't mind that, then you can read this as a standalone.
Westley is a vampire and hates it, so he takes an opportunity to become something different. The only trouble is, he has to inhabit a body that already has two mates and is a completely different 'species' to him. Ryan didn't like the alpha he was mated to, although Tyler didn't have a problem. Ryan was the best character out of the three although he did enjoy whipping off his shirt to show his scar.
Half of the trouble I had with this book is it is told from the perspectives of the three main male characters. Unfortunately, although the name was given at the top of the chapter, it wasn't clear from their voices just who was 'speaking'. This led to some confusion when I had to put the book down in the middle of a chapter and had to go back to the beginning just to find out who it was. Also, I didn't really feel any connection between the three of them.
On the whole, I enjoyed the premise of the story but I just feel like I've missed out on something very pertinent to the whole thing. If you have read the other books, then I would recommend it.

Okay I have to say first I did enjoy this book. The story is interesting and the shifter/paranormal world is unique and different then I’ve ever read. But I did find it a bit confusing sometimes and maybe a bit rushed a times. Overall I really liked this book and this world and I will definitely read more from this series in the future.

Westley’s maker/master was not happy with him. While the other vampires feasted on their human victims, he would prefer another way than using humans and making them suffer. But the human blood but the only “taste” they could bring into their world. Vampires’ eyesight and hearing were acute, but the sense of taste and smell were gone forever unless they fed from someone. When he refused to eat, Kaleb grabbed him by the throat and slammed him against the wall. He broke his leg and crushed his fist. Then he ordered the blond human to stay with Westley for two days until his hunger would make him obey. He drove the woman to her home, told her to forget, and went to the worst area in Dallas to find a criminal who was evil – that would be his dinner.
Ryan and Tyler were Omegas in a Triad with Adam, their Alpha who was now dead. Tyler was upset that he and Ryan would no longer be together because unless you're the governor or higher, the shifter law says one Omega per Alpha. Yet maybe the rumors that the two Bayou witches took him meant he wasn’t dead. Tyler had been the favorite, and he needed an Alpha. Ryan wanted to be on their own for a little while. And as Ryan suggested they go on a road trip, their phones rang in unison and the Bayou witches told them to take their road trip to Louisiana. They understood the command.
Westley sat at a table with the two witches, Dawn and Tina. He did not want to be a vampire. He had hoped to be a shifter because they still live lives with families in communities. They have all their senses. So the witches offered him the chance to live with Adam’s body. There was a brief time to do this, while they dealt with his last “vision” of the future. But Westley had to decide now because they could not leave the empty vessel due to what it may open up. And if Westley did not act now, he would spend another 200 years as a vampire, and he could not endure that. He became aware as all his senses brought in smells and sights from around him. The shell of his vampire body tried to attack and he melted it with garlic oil. The witches told him what to expect, then said there was one more surprise – as the door was flung open and two Omegas entered in shock, both of them now his. How will they adjust to the “new” Alpha? What will be their futures now?
Wow, this book is so descriptive that the reader will experience every scene, for good or bad. But for me, Westley seemed a good guy and I eagerly continued to read. There is so much more to come, so definitely grab your copy and immerse yourself in a world that will feel shockingly real to you. You’ll meet so many characters along the way; some may even become friends.

I liked Single Vampire - Mated Alpha by Tabatha Austin. It's the fourth book in the Whispering Hills series. While this is a shared universe, each story is written to stand on its own. This story is about a vampire, Westley, who is tired of being a vampire and misses being able to taste human food. With the help of a couple of Bayou witches, he gets a newly vacated body of a dead Alpha werewolf. However, he doesn't know that the body comes with having two omega mates, Tyler and Ryan, or that the alpha was abusive to his mates. Tyler and Ryan think they are finally free when their alpha dies. That is until they get a text from the bayou witches telling them to take a car trip to Louisiana. Once they get there, they are dismayed to find that not only are they still mated, but a two-hundred-year-old vampire now inhabits their alpha. They don't know anything about this vampire or what sort of temperament he has. Something they are worried about since their last alpha was so abusive. I liked this book, and I liked how it ended, but the book's flow and feel felt a bit disjointed to me, and I found it hard to read. I can normally finish a book of this length in a day or two, but this one took me about a week. I kept putting it down, working on something else, and then coming back to it. I usually like Tabatha Austin's books, and the blurb seemed interesting, but I couldn't get into it until the latter half of the book when Ryan was back with Tyler and Westley.

This book is a standalone paranormal romance, featuring vampires, werewolves, body-swapping, plenty of Gay, & male pregnancy.
Triggers:
Blood
Body swapping
Violence
Forced matings
Histories of abuse
Histories of poverty
Manipulation (vampire mind control style)
Characters of colour?
Two, named characters of colour. Only two. They have no dialogue.
GLITTFAB/Queer characters?
Our MCs are in a gay triad, most others we interact with are in homosexual arrangements of some sort. Yay!
Disabled characters?
Yeah not so much. Vampires here have no sense of taste or smell, but that’s about the extent of it.
Worth my time?
8 hours of weirdly dense reading later… I’m not sure.
I mean it certainly wasn’t bad, but the pacing, the sentence structure, & the character development just didn’t strike a chord. It could absolutely benefit from another round of edits, to try to improve the flow. Then again, perhaps this writing style just isn’t for me.
Re-read?
No, no thank you. I don’t regret reading this, but it has zero appeal for a re-read.
Recommend?
To lovers of Queer Paranormal Romance, particularly those who enjoy a diverse cast of men.
I received this book from BookSirens in exchange for my honest views.

One thing that I am not fully clear on is why did Wesley, Ryan, & Tyler decide to stay in Whispering Hills, and the Dallas area? Yes; it's a nice place, but with Kaleb so close, and looming, why take that risk? With all of the troubles that they had, it seemed to be a little reckless, to me.
Also, how many shifters does it take to make a pack? There is a lot of open land in North America - let alone the whole world, and surely not all of that land has been taken over by human cities and existing packs - so why couldn't Wesley, his omegas, and their children find a homestead and make a small pack on their own without being forced to become Scavengers?
But ultimately, I have to say that I rather loved this story. I loved that Wesley had made all of these plans to become a shifter, but hadn't actually planned for what to do once he got his wish. I loved that Ryan had so much trouble accepting Wesley, or really any alpha, which ended up causing contention between him and Tyler when Tyler didn't have those same hang-ups. I felt that all three of these men were able to grow during the course of this story and to learn to be a triad together.

A very interesting and fresh concept in the paranormal romance genre
The story of Westley, a vampire who managed to place his consciousness into the body of a dead Alpha wolf shifter had some very intriguing instances. I particularly liked the switch from not having any sensory experiences to experiencing everything through smell and taste... As for the MMM romance itself, it was okay — but I found myself often having problems separating Ryan's voice from Tyler's (while I found that Westley had a very unique voice and he was more recognisable as a character). So I'm not sure if the triple POV was the best choice for this book. Another problem for me (and the reason why I'm not rating this higher although I liked the premise a lot) was the amount of "telling" versus "showing" that took place throughout. That could be a bit distracting at times.
Still, there were some very intriguing concepts around the witches, the wolf packs, the special soulmates town....
There's enough material there to for a great series of books!

This book is amazing and I loved it! A thrilling tale of a vampire who wishes to be a shifter. Westley will get his chance when an Alpha, Adam, is killed. His body kept by witches and soon Westley will inhabit his body. What he wasn't expecting was to get 2 Omega mates out of the deal. Tyler and Ryan are Adam's mates but Ryan wants to be free. At first, Westley is unsure about keeping them but soon he decides to do so. Westley's "father", Kaleb, the vampire that turned him, will continue to show up and cause problems. He will also wrangle Ryan into a deal that Westley will in the end sacrifice himself in order to free Ryan and the town of Whispering Hills from Kaleb's grasp. In the end, Ryan and Tyler will protect their Alpha as he protected them and they will race to the rescue along with a human Westley saved and a car possessed by a golem. In the end, Westley will earn his place as a wolf shifter and be reunited with his Omegas to live happily ever after.

Wow! What great story. I cried a few times. You may too. Westley is a vampire disenchanted with the evil that surrounds his sire, Kaleb. A problem that has existed over Westley's centuries as a vampire. Westley finds a way to elude his sire by becoming a "lower" form of supernatural, a wolf shifter. This change has attachments, two Omegas, Tyler and Ryan, who watched their first Alpha die only find Westley in that Alpha's reanimated body. Two Bayou witches assist Westley out of his vampire existence and into the world of wolf shifters . This event leads to unique encounters between Westley, his Omegas, the many shifter inhabitants of a particular town and Kaleb.
Hopefully I've shared enough of the plot to peak your interest and not "spoiled" the story.
The author sparked my imagination and also integrated an old car similar to one I once read about in a horror story. She also reminds us that who we love is between the participants in that love.

Second chances can be easy if you live long enough. Westley was a torgured captive of his vampire master, Kaleb. His Master liked to play mind games, but Wesley resisted, when he could. Wesley, didn't want to feed off of humans or subjugate/use them. When needs must, he only fed off of the worse human element. Omegas, Tyler and Ryan were mated to a cruel alpha, Adam, who favored Tyler. The Alpha died, then Tyler and Ryan were in danger of being separated, since their truple is no longer. Shifter law, says one alpha, one omega. Wesley, ultimately wanted to be a shifter, wolf. Will he have to give up being a vampire? How will he become a shifter? What is a doable solution for Tyler and Ryan? When they meet, Wesley has Adam's body. That could be awkward. Who has the hardest time with Wesley/Adam, Tyler or Ryan? Nice story. Great need for strategic planning and conflict resolution. Is Wesley up to it? Nice read. Opens lots of questions. Good characters introduced during the journey. Well done! I liked that Wesley was a different type of vampire. By that I mean he didn't revel in feeding from humans as painfully as possible. He had morals and feelings. He was granted a boon by witches to switch bodies and lives with a dead alpha werewolf that had two omega mates, Tyler and Ryan. They did not have a loving or even civil relationship with their old alpha. Wesley is not anything like the old cruel alpha but they have a hard time accepting him. He is so caring and compassionate. Everything he does is for them. Tyler never realized just how much Ryan protected him before and didn't stop to think how unloved Ryan was. That part I did not like. Ryan was childish just running off, but I also thought Tyler was a bit selfish then too. The three of them had a lot to overcome to be happy and a lot of it was really bad, but they finally got it together. There were times I wanted to slap both omegas but they didn't give up. I also loved Wesley's possessed car. That is a whole story in itself. This is a great book and I'm curious about the previous books.

Westley is a 200 year old vampire, who hates being a vampire and wishes to rid himself of his curse and the sire who did this to him. He meets witches who can rid him of his current state and give him a new body. Only now he will become an alpha wolf shifter.
Omegas Tyler and Ryan meet Westley and discover he's taken over their old alpha's body. One is thrilled and the other is rightfully skittish about the ordeal. Imagine getting a new alpha that kind of isn't new and is an intriguing combination.
While each man has to come to terms with the major changes in their lives, will they be able to reach those changes together or will the past and uncertain futures keep them from achieving all they need and desire?
One heck of a read! All of these characters were strong in their own right, together they were formidable. There were so many different interwoven story lines and I commend Tabatha, on such great work.

Wesley, an ancient vampire, tired of his Sire’s rules and laws seeks a way to get away from Kaleb’s influence and with the assistance of some witches, takes over a recently deceased Werewolf Alpha’s body. What he did not account for was the ties that come with that boy, in this case two omegas that are bound to the alpha, Tyler and Ryan. They are shocked as they had thought they were finally free of an abusive alpha, only to suddenly have him back, even if someone new was inhabiting the body. And Kaleb will not let Wesley go so easily.
The potential is certainly here, however, the writing was a little stilted and some parts were hard to follow along as the plot seemed to jump around in spots. I’m glad to see a book that doesn’t just fetishize these types of characters, I just wished the writing/editing would have been better.

I really don’t want to give to much away but I hope that I’m not giving things away by saying that this is the first book that I’ve read where a vampire changed into a werewolf. I enjoyed this book a lot and not just because it was so different. It was so enthralling that I read it in one sitting except for a short stop to make my lunch. The three main characters involved in a relationship really have their work cut out for them as all three have gone through major changes in their lives and reading about this dance between them that they have to negotiate was so realistic to me that I found myself moved to both tears and laughter. I recommend this book and I am off now to read the first two books in this series.

Westley is a Vampire that never wanted to be one. He wanted to be a wolf shifter. After many years he comes across two witches that have a body of an Alpha that needs a spirit for this body. Westley agrees and becomes a wolf shifter. Upon agreeing he learns he is mated to two omegas Ryan and Tyler. Will Westley be an alpha that everyone wants or will there be chaos going around him? Will these three have everything they hope and dream of? Or will other forces come between them all? Read this story and find out. It is a very good read. I wanted to try something different and I am not disappointed at all.

This was a really good read. I love Alpha/omega stories. This one had hurt/comfort as well. It took me a bit to figure out the world it takes place in. I mean there are vampires and werewolves and humans.
I think I could have used an overview of how the world worked and the hierarchy of the species and what their strengths and weaknesses were. Why couldn't Ryan and Tyler be together alone? Once I got more familiar with how things were I found I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I laughed at the authors nod to Gilligan's Island with the two witches. Tina and Dawn (aka Ginger and Mary Ann if you read their descriptions) hahaahah. And the golem mustang, a nod to Stephan Kings Christine. Funny and yes entertaining for me :p I'm looking for to reading more from this author.

I hadn’t read the other books in this series but that’s ok because this story can be read as a standalone. This story is about Westley a 200 year old vampire he’s had enough of being a monster he wants to become a shifter so Westley meets with two witches who have a alpha body for him to take over and when he does Westley who is now a alpha wolf shifter finds out that he has two omega’s Tyler who is ok with it but Ryan who is a bit scared because his alpha mistreated him badly. Now they have Westley a vampire who’s now a wolf shifters body so can the three of them work it all out or will it all turn bad?. Fantastic m/m story I loved it and I highly recommend this book.

But the change comes with two omegas, who are not sure where they stand. And when Westley's maker decides to get revenge on him, it is impossible to predict what will happen. Will Westley, Tyler and Ryan be able to make a life together? Or will Westley lose everything while trying to get free? Good read!

Single Vampire - Mated Alpha tells the story of a Vampire named Westley that turns into a wolf shifter and gets mated to Omega's; Tyler and Ryan. The book is full of interesting characters, snark, and some twists and turns along the way. There are some steamy sex scenes and a HEA. This is part of a larger series but can be read as a standalone. Overall an excellent read.

This is a well written paranormal romance with a cast of strong characters and a thrilling story line. The author does a great job developing the story and pulled me in with all the action and intrigue. She paints her scenes in vivid detail and moves the story fluidly. It's interesting watching the three men learning to grow together in their relationship.

Is a very interesting story. I liked the idea of a vampire turned shifter with two omegas. I had trouble following the story line, because it was confusing at times. It's a paranormal world with new rules, at least for me, and couldn't understand the descriptions. The first sex scene was awkward, the expressions used do not allow us to appreciate the importance of what is happening at that moment.

Single Vampire - Mated Alpha turned out to be a unique story. Westley did not want to be a vampire and found a way to become a werewolf by taking over a cruel alpha's body. Along with it, he found himself with two omegas. How they learned to live together made the story amazing. There was action and surprises, babies with amazing names and love coming to each of the broken men. Apart, they suffered, but together they found a way to heal each other. The ending was fantastic!

This is about Westley who was a vampire that is turned into a wolf shifter. He is mated to two Omegas, Tyler, and Ryan. This was a good story. I loved the steam, snark, and sass. The story has some twists and turns but overall it was good. I cannot wait to read more of the universe the author created. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received.

This story is a surprise. There is so much more to it than it looks. It brought out emoticons that surprised me at times. It's not a world I have be to before but it was not hard to find my way through. A very good story that I enjoyed reading and sharing their lives even if just for a little while. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Pretty enjoyable book, but there were sections that I got a bit lost in. Some of the back story was missing so I didn't understand what was going on or why in certain places. Liked the concept of the story, liked the characters. Would recommend and will be happy to read more from this author in the future. An interesting read. The story took me a bit to get into it but I am glad that I stayed. The characters fit well together and have great chemistry. Their road to getting their happily ever was a bumpy one. This is the fourth book in this series.
