Noelle thought she was in love with the other guy, that was really not in love with her. She showed out at the Christmas party. Very unprofessional. Marc rescued her and in a matter of days she was in love with the other guy. Not enough depth of character in the story.
Noelle went to her company Christmas party and was dropped with heartbreaking news. Her boyfriend Tucker announced that he got married that day. Unfortunately, he had sex with her that morning. They had been a couple for almost three years. She proceeded to get drunk. From there, she got the courage to tell Tucker off in front of his new wife, Anya. Plus, the board of directors and fellow employees. Tucker told her she was fired. She went to slap him. Easton, the head of security, removed her from the party and took her to a smaller cottage on the premises. She decided she was going back to the party. But when she returned back to the main house, the only ones that were there were the waitstaff cleaning up. She was so drunk and dizzy that she ended up vomiting on Easton and them passed out. She woke up this next morning trying to figure out where she is. She got up and was sick again. Easton should up just at that time. He made her some special tea. She wanted to leave. She didn't know that it's snowing outside. Easton asked her about how she wanted to be with Tucker Timbers. She broke down and eventually told Easton some of the situation with Tucker. She's heartbroken. Tucker used her. Noelle likes talking to him and is attracted to him. But she knows this is just a rebound. When she does give in to him. Wow. He was a master at satisfying her in every way. She's
thinking, what did she see in Tucker. They enjoy each others company. They cut down a tree and decorated it. He made love to her, like she never had before. He was a great lover. She's worried that she has to look for another job once they get out of the snowstorm. Once she leaves the cottage, she tells Easton that she wants some time to think. She wants to make sure he isn't just a rebound. She doesn't want to hurt him. He wasn't prepared to fall in love. Great love story, a must-read to find out all their secrets and how they find true love.
Revenge is a dish served by a rebound with McSteamy Marc Easton!!
Whewwwweeee Chile was this book lit!!! Right from the first page! That old saying there isn't nothing like a woman scorned. Well Noelle was drunk, pissed off and very much scorned. And let me say, thoughtfully so. Tucker Timbers is a Bonafide jerk and an a-hole. And she was gonna let him know during the annual Christmas party. Marc Easton saw trouble brewing and took matters into his own hand which led so some sexy foreplay type confrontation between him and Noelle. Add into the crazy snow and being stuck like chuck with each other. And you've got one heck of a story! Cassie Verano brought the receipts and made this book one of my top 25 books I've read for the summer. It's a definite must-read. You will not be disappointed.
Noelle was trying to recover from knowing that her lover married his wife that afternoon after leaving her bed that morning. In a drunken state of mind she confronts him and his new wife on the dance floor. Making a fool of herself! She winds up in the cottage of the head of security at their office. The electrify between them is fierce and they win up in bed during a blizzard. Not wanting to lose his close connections with Noelle, Tucker Timbers, the CEO 👨🏽💼 f her company tries to get her back or thwart their relationship. Tucker is going n for some surprising turn of events as he attempts to control Noelle and keep her away from Marc Easton.🦋
It was real cute for a Christmas novella. Loved Marc and Noelle and their almost love at first sight. The author did give us some decent pacing and some backstory for the MCs, though some parts felt slightly rushed. Their sexual connection went from building to full on with very little build up, esp based on their interactions with each other. Decent storyline with a little drama. HEA and steamy sessions between the two with features of the main f Mac possibly being BBW. Quick, hot read!
I liked how Marc came into Noelle’s life. It was a cute, but fast moving love story.
The only thing I couldn’t tolerate was Noelle’s constant whining. She questioned everything Marc offered her. He spent a lot of time explaining himself to her. That got old, fast. At the end of the book she is still whining about a lucrative job offer. *eye roll*. Aside from the whining, there lots of steamy encounters to peak your interest.
I enjoyed Marc’s and Noelle story, some do not believe in love at first sight but your heart knows what it wants even when your mind does not. Tucker was a trifling as they come, this story proves that men can be just a petty as women if not worse. The author did not disappoint at all. Great holiday story.
I loved this book about Marc and Noelle!! A Christmas company party that went really bad, real fast for Noelle, but ended up being very good for the two of them!
There’s all types of drama throughout this story that keeps you turning those pages!! I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it! Kudos, Cassie!! 💜
This was a good read! Kudos to the author! Marc and Noelle are a good match. Some say that it couldn't have happened so quickly but I don't think that her previous relationship gave her what she has with Marc. She opened up for him and he opened up for her! Great love story. Especially during Christmas time.
I really enjoyed this story, Noelle had me laughing in the beginning of the story. Marc love the level of his take charge attitude, and the way he protected Noelle. Lot of women need that type of protective man in there life. Going to the next story in this series, love it.
Wow this was an excellent romance novel Cassie Verano!!!!! I can't wait to read more of your books. I enjoyed reading how the love story began with Marc and Noelle!!! This book contains intrigue, dreams, hope, betrayal, drama, inspiration, and finding true love!! I will be recommending this novel to everyone I know!!!
Meh, I persistently kept reading it but it just didn't work for me. Maybe love happened too fast after her 3 year long affair finished literally days ago. I just don't know, it didn't feel right. Yeah, i just didn't feel it.
I loved reading Marc and Noelle's story. I would absolutely recommend reading this book. I love reading Ms. Cassie Verano books, can't wait to read the next book in the series. Great job.
Although. I was not able to relate to the heroine 's reaction to the situation she found herself in, it developed the story and romance with the Hero. It was an enjoyable Christmas story.
I enjoyed read Noelle's Holiday Rebound. At first I didn't care for Noelle because she whined too much and the things she said to Marc when he tried to help her at the party. Tucker acted petty when he realized Noelle had moved on. It was definitely entertaining and fast paced.
This was a cute Christmas read. However, the dialogue wasn’t believable for some portions of Marc Easton’s speech. Also, there may have been an oversight in the timeline. It’s minor and I’m sure not a lot of people would notice it.
I loved this book, loved the full characters with excellent storytelling the pages just turned themselves. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when he got his comeuppance. I recommend you will enjoy.
Few pages into the book and the heroine's inner monologue says "I was about to pull the ghetto bitch I used to be from deep within." Then the main character proceeds to do just that. Jesus Christ I am so sick of these books written by black female authors. Honestly why do so many smutty books by black authors equate blackness to ghettoness. Why are so many black heroines ghetto and uncouth. Sleeping with an engaged/married philanderer then fighting that new man's wife in front of people. Jeez.
It is so disheartening to see this shit time and time and again. Not only do I struggle to relate to any of these women. This is not the representation we need or deserve.
