The Untouchables #1

Filthy Empire

Rate this book
*This is a slowburn romance that will build into a reverse harem over multiple books*

The White House is filled with D... Dakota, David, Declan and Derek.
Daughter of the Vice President. Rising Politician. Picture perfect family.
Or so they think…
The President isn’t my mother’s biggest fan—and I’m not his either—but that hasn’t stopped his son’s, the infamous Hartley brother’s, from trying to seduce me.
When my fake relationship is suddenly exposed and the brother’s find out I’m available, they come at me from every direction, tying me up in lust, sweat, and plenty of emotional games.
But I’m not some innocent, delicate flower, who can be easily manipulated.
These boys love the chase more than I do, and as good as all these secret rendezvous and hot passionate nights have been, they can’t last forever.
Especially if our filthy secrets are revealed to the world.
But as the competition between the brother’s heats up, and they want me to choose, the more I want to keep all of them.
Our dirty little arrangement is the opposite of ‘family friendly’ and if anyone finds out—especially my mom—the costs will be catastrophic.
And if I don’t stop, this filthy little empire I’ve created may be the stone that brings the White House crashing down.

Filthy Empire is the first book in the dark reverse harem romance series, The Untouchables, from author Callie Vincent. This book contains dark themes and is intended for readers 18+.

This was definitely a page turner for me, especially with involving The First Family and The Vice President’s daughter with nasty political schemes and back-stabbings among the President’s family supposedly in the name of their love for their country. Since Filthy Empire is only the first installment in a trilogy, I think it will get even more captivating and twisted as the plot thickens. I also loved how Callie Vincent portrayed a strong-willed and confident female main character, Audrey, who knows what she wants and is not ashamed in her choices and expectations in her relationships. Her mother, the VP is also a great role model with her forward thinking, her open mind and her unwavering support in her loved ones’ choices. I found it refreshing. Filthy Empire is most definitely a slow-burn but it doesn’t take away from the story or the spice between the characters.

This is the first book in a series, about a powerful family and it's VP. The storyline has alot of potential and I can't wait to see what will happen in the next book.

I enjoyed this and it was a slow burn that I like to read and yes it has a cliffhanger but I don't mind them and I would never give low reviews just cause of a cliffhanger.

Not what I expected

So many issues happening at once you can’t help but fall down the rabbit hole to see what happens. Secrets, manipulation, feelings, power and two families that you think would have each others backs, but you quickly see that’s far from the truth. Excited to check out book two.

This book has politics in it and I realize I got bored with that. The writing is good but I couldn't get into the storyline.
