This is the second book in the series which follows two of the five girls who rented a booth at the market to find a job. In addition to finding a job the girls also found husbands. The first part of the book is about Donovan and Claire. Everyone had warned her about Donovan but he changes his ways and they fall in love. The ending of the book is about Lucy who is reacquainted with a boy who left the community years ago when he was supposed to marry her sister but her sister died.

The Amish Maid’s Sweetheart by Samantha Price is the second book in the Amish Maids Trilogy. In this book, two more of the five friends who meet at the coffee shop have found jobs. Claire lost her first job, but quickly finds another at the same place her friend had worked, the B&B. She meets Donovan, the owner’s son, the Englischer that Jesse had fallen for. But a terrible tornado intercedes and his life changes forever as does Claire’s. While the other friend, Lucy, is a babysitter for a single mother with two children. She has always felt that she was second place in her parent’s eyes to her sister, Grace, who died before she could marry her beloved, Joshua. Joshua leaves the community after the sudden death and does not return until the funeral of his mother. Lucy meets Joshua again at this time, but has mixed emotions because of her dead sister. This is another 5-star book that touches your heart. Looking forward to the final book in the series.

The book kept your interest. It was hard to put the book down once you started it. I did not want the book to end.

The Amish's Maids Sweetheart is the second intriguing book written by Samantha Price in her Amish Maids Trilogy series. The reader is quickly taken back to the group of lifelong friends and their current situations. In the previous book Olive has been waiting to marry Englisher Blake who is taking steps to join the Amish and Jessie has made a commitment to Elijah. This book centers around Claire and Lucy with the trials they are experiencing. Both Claire and Lucy are seeking to find the perfect man in their lives.

Claire, who has been working as a caretaker for an elderly couple has been released from her position but not before they found her another job. That job is not exactly what Claire had in mind but it was better than remaining at home everyday. Little did she know when she accepted this job that her whole was going to go through a complete change and she would find the man she was looking for. This man, however, will require a big change from Claire and she is not sure if she can make those changes.

Lucy has found out after her family left for Ohio to attend her aunt's wedding that a dear family friend has passed. Lucy being alone is facing the funeral process by herself and dreads the fact that her late sister's fiancee will be home for the funeral. She is not sure if she can face him after he disappeared the day after her sister's funeral. Through a series of unfortunate accidents Lucy and Joshua are thrown together and each begins a quest to heal the past until Lucy's father appears unexpectedly and puts an end to their meetings. What happens next not only surprises Lucy but Joshua as well.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others. All opinions are my own and I write vague reviews so I don't spoil the story for others. The author has done an amazing job forming not only her story but her characters as well.

Congratulations to Samantha Price on writing another fascinating story to continue her series. I look forward to book 3 to see how everything turns out for all five girls.

THE AMISH MAID. SWEETHEART.
by Samantha Price.
Book 2. In Amish Maids
Claire wasn’t needed now at Mrs.Wallen, and would be cleaning at Mrs.Belling’s son’s house. Feeling lucky for it was just a beautiful place.
Giving her a tour and how he was going to modernize and the cost to do it.
Noticing she was different, not impressed with how much it would cost or
what he was doing. Disaster happens and Donavan pleads with God, now he has to do his part, as a believer. The house and restaurant are gone,. Claire would be looking after him at the B&B while he recuperated. Telling her of his feelings, could there be away of meeting half way, between the English and Amish. Her sister Sally and how bitter she had become because she hadn’t found a mate. Claire gave Donovan her answer.
Lucy heaimg that Joshua was back in town, and living in the old house, and farming the land. He had been going with her sister before she died. Grace had been set to marry Joshua. At the funeral, she could be attracted to him, and when he noticed her it was with a smile. He was intended for Grace, not her, people held it against him, because he hadn’t kept his word. The parents now realize it was them not Joshua, that had decided the union. Telling Lucy he loved Grace, and had ended it, to wait for a true and lasting love. A story that shows. 2 men following God’s and wanting love and family. that he had chosen for them. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

"THE AMISH MAID'S SWEETHEART" BY SAMANTHA PRICE IS A BOOK ABOUT 5 YOUNG LADIES THAT HAVE GROWN UP TOGETHER AND ARE BEST FRIENDS. ONE OF THE LADIES HAD A IDEAL ABOUT ALL OF THEM GETTING JOBS SO THEY COULD HELP THEIR PARENTS AND HAVE SOME MONEY TO SPEND OR SAVE FOR THEIR SELF. MOST AMISH GIRLS AT THIS AGE ARE MARRIED OR FIXING TO MARRY. BUT THIS YOUNG AMISH LADIES ARE NOT MAINLY BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE GIRLS THAN MEN WHERE THEY LIVE.

THIS IS BOOK TWO IN (THE AMISH MAIDS TRILOGY). AND IT TELLS OF A YOUNG LADY NAME CLAIRE AND A YOUNG LADY NAME LUCY. IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE FIRST BOOK IT IS "HIS AMISH NANNY", AND IT TALKS ABOUT A YOUNG LADY NAME OLIVE AND A YOUNG LADY NAME JESSIE.

THEY HAVE SOME INTERESTING JOBS AND MEET SOME INTERESTING PEOPLE. I HAVE REALLY LOVED THIS TWO BOOKS AND I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE. I HIGHLY1 RECOMMEND THIS STORIES!

Claire Schoneberger doesn't suspect she will like the son of the owner of the B&B where she has secured a job as maid, particularly after one of her friends says how awful he is. And her first encounter with Jonathan goes badly, too. But he changes, and she begins to see him in a new light--so much so that she agrees to marry him, even though he has not committed fully to joining the Amish community.

Perhaps that's one reason her family does not attend her wedding. But this story also contains another love story, changing the focus of the book to Lucy and Joshua.

Simple life? Not really

So I see here all the angst of growing up overlaid with the separateness of the Amish people. Not criticizing, but I wonder at a community that is separated in order to serve God better but only gathers for worship every other Sunday. Then I read that Lucy’s father only uses scripture to criticize her, it makes it clearer why many young people leave and don’t come back to the congregation. If that is what the author is getting at I appreciated the insight

I have to say, I am not really enjoying this Amish Maids Trilogy. The books are not as believable as other Amish books I have read. The couples seem to fall in love and pledge to be married within about a week of meeting each other. And the men who fall for the Amish Maids seem to change their lives and outlook on life so quickly. Also the first two books have two stories each, one after the other rather than intermingled.
I will read the third book as I downloaded all three at once - something I won't do again, reading one book before committing to reading the rest in a series.

A very good Amish love story ❤

This was a good book about family and friends. It was nice to read about all the characters and their good experiences. Sometimes you have to go with love and you have to be true to God and yourself. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
