They opened the gates to the castle and offered the monster the throne. The Queen sits at his feet, her head in his lap, smiling as the killing starts. There is no more time. Cotta and Brennan are in the dungeon; Raef, Mason, Bode, they’re all a kingdom away and Calem has learned, finally, all he needs to know about himself to decide where he stands against men and monster.
Bloody brilliant. First book was good, second one was better, but this one is out there. Twists and turns. Emotional. Character building sneaks up on you. One of those books where you struggle to work out where the story finishes and the real world starts
Excuse me.... now what am I supposed to do with my life?
At this point I really don't have much more to add. The series was brought home in a way that surpassed my extremely high expectations. I fell in love with this world and characters. I felt connected with every aspect of this series and I genuinely cannot recommend it enough. If you've read my previous two reviews on this series it will be of no surprise to you! I really hope more people pick up these books because they are criminally underrated!
I have a dedicated review to this series if you would like to hear me gush some more: https://youtu.be/uC6yYeX3mYw
