Chris, a young tiger, thinks he has a great life. He lives in a zoo, where he is cared for, fed regularly, and adored by thousands of visitors. His only problem is that his tail is extremely small—certainly, much too small for a proper tiger. One night, Chris the tiny-tailed tiger decides to explore the real world and comes up with an escape plan.
This witty story focuses on themes important to growing children. From dealing with bullying to developing emotional intelligence, Chris the Tiny-Tailed Tiger explores what it means to realize your dreams and become what you want to be. Follow Chris’ adventures as he escapes the zoo and finds the most unexpected thing of all—the love of his life!

1 bookSusan George is an American children's book author from Fairfax, Virginia. Her first book, Chris, the Tiny-Tailed Tiger, is based on a story her husband wrote in 1992 when he was in second grade. Now that she is a mother, Susan decided there was no better time to honor her husband and take his work to a new level by adding her unique flair. Writing began as a hobby, thanks to the COVID-19 quarantine, but the deeper she got into creating the story, the more determined she became to finish the book and gift it to her daughter, Riley. Filled with motherly love, Susan took a step away from her daytime job as a tax accountant to make her family happy by creating a book that will be enjoyed by many for years to come.

So cute story!
Loved this book. Wonderful idea to recover the story written in childhood by author's husband (you will find the original too). It is a happy ending story where little tiger is trying to escape the zoo. Easy to read. Also beautiful illustrations which are well designed with story text. Highly recommended!

Kids might like it.
The story did not charm me much. A tiger using a key without opposable thumbs?? A tiger living successfully with a mate in a city without anybody getting alarmed? I think a better solution might have been to have Chris learn to accept himself the way he is. Still, fairly harmless, and kids might like it.
