“You’re a good girl, Prudence.” His arms tightened a little as they waltzed. “I know,” she replied calmly. “But what makes you say that?” “You kept your promise.” He chuckled, and she felt it from her eyebrows to her toes. “You didn’t marry a nincompoop, and I trust you kept your magic kisses for me alone.”
She’s waited since the summer for him to come back. Now he has, but he’s not in London just to see her. Sir Ronan O’Malley has a family problem, and he’ll need the help of not only Prudence Hartsmere-Drake, but the other Wednesday Club members who are in town for Christmas.
The matter is urgent, more so than many realise, but Ronan knows he must settle it before he can get to the most important item on his Christmas list—Miss Prudence!
I'm really rather boring... Honestly. I live a pretty hum-drum life as a wife and mother. I shop at the local supermarket and use coupons now and again. See? Boring stuff.
I live in Virginia now, so I am learning all kinds of new things - such as being able to buy beer and wine along with bread and toothpaste. Wow!
Having been born and raised in England, I do possess a well-developed feel for the English countryside. Comes in handy for those Regency tales. Even though I was transplanted over to the US side of the Atlantic, I still have ties to all things Brit. I bake sausage rolls and make Christmas pudding. You can take the girl out of England, but not England out of the girl, I guess.
I'm not sure anyone can write really well unless they read. A lot. I read anything and everything these days. And mostly on my couch with a book on my knees. Yes, the technology is out there for electronic versions, but there's not much to compare with a shiny new hardcover from a favorite author.
This was a good paced story that had likeable characters. Prudence Hartsmore-Drake is a forthright and determined lady. She is in love with Sir Ronan O’Malley and although he appears to be in the same frame of mind, she isn’t sure. Ronan has a number of things on his mind, one of the main being finding his brother, who has disappeared. All the friends decide to help him. I enjoyed the way the women went ahead with their plans regardless of what their menfolk thought. This was an entertaining read, I hadn’t read any of the previous books in this series but it didn’t detract from my enjoyment. I received a copy from eBooks Discovery and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
cute story.. good characters and sweet plot.. it is sad that this is the end.. but it was a good ending.. had some twists that made me smile. i enjoyed it
Despite having vowed not to bow to the dictates of society regarding marriage, Miss Prudence Hartsmere-Drake nevertheless finds her heart racing when it comes to the charming Irishman, Sir Ronan O'Malley. When Ronan returns to town, he has a few surprises for Prudence and her family, in particular the mystery of his missing brother. Prudence's family and friends love solving problems and this one is just up their street. Everyone, including the butler, come on board to find the links to the disappearance of Fergal and information comes from unexpected sources. As Prudence and Ronan spend an increasing amount of time together, their friendship deepens and so too do the feelings between them. The story is generally well written, entertaining, and witty, with a romance that builds on friendship and trust. I have read previous stories in this series and there is a history between the circle of friends that spans a space in time. Although characters from previous novels appear in this one too, it is nevertheless a standalone and comes to a sweet conclusion. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.
The fact this is, by reference and close ties a Wednesday Club book was one of the key selling points for me. I have read and enjoyed all of the books in this series so I really enjoyed this one. Each of the books can be read as a standalone, though reading them in order helps because it will prevent the reader with new couples as they emerge, rather than as 'fine deals' which spoils part of the fun of reading, at least so far as I'm concerned.
Miss Prudence, meet the man she comes to love as a stone mason and contractor working on the design and construction of her uncle's garden, which is actually meant to be a gift for a woman he comes to love and treasure. There is a very interesting sub- plot that runs through the current book. I found it almost as compelling as the romance aspect of it. Ronan and Prudence are a magical couple but Ronan has so much on his plate in this book that at moments it seems they will never have their HEA. This book was infinitely enjoyable and I definitely recommend it.

Mistletoe for Prudence is a cute period romance with a mystery built in. The story is a pleasant, quick read. It is part of a series, and I suspect it would be better had I read the other books, but it works fine as a standalone.
Contains graphic sex scenes.

This is a wonderfully thought out addition to the series. This plot is one of mystery and emotion. The characters are as usual brilliantly crafted, with the necessary strength and determination to achieve their goals. This is a steamy historical romance that will be loved by anybody who enjoys a bit of suspense.
A nice smart read. Prudence and her friends are once again called upon to solve a mystery. Ronan’s brother has gone missing. It also gives Ronan and Prudence an opportunity to spend time together and cement their feelings for each other. Witty conversations and smart characters.
A very good romantic story with lots to give. Pretty clean, with a quite few chaste kisses and some heavy petting. The plot was great and the adventure of it was good too. I wouldn't of thought that it was you know who the entire time, trying to get in the way of family names. Prudence is slowly falling in love with with a man named Sir Ronan. But where she is certain in her placed love. It seems that she has quite a few suitors trying for her hand. Then all the sudden Sir Ronan's brother goes missing while treating a few patients. Where is he, is he hurt, dead or did he runaway?

Prudence hoped that Sir Ronan would return and have not forgotten her. And he returned but with a situation that was going to require a lot of assistance. Intriguing story where the group's sleuth skills were put into action and Prudence felt ready to experience the passion with which Sir Ronan seemed to tempt her. Enjoyed the Wednesday Club stories and like these inquisitive women always searching for knowledge and not afraid of her passion and emotions. Good descriptions and narrations that kept me following Prudence enthusiasm for her role in the new adventure and of course, the heated flame that was consuming her. Intrigue, adventure, mystery, camaraderie, romance and passion. Voluntarily reviewed this interesting and entertaining book that I enjoyed and received free from Candid Books Reviews
It is a shame this is the end of the Wednesday club books. They seem like old friends. Prudence was a sweet girl and loved mysteries. Sir Ronan O'Malley presented her and the club with the disappearance of his brother, who was a doctor. He had seen a couple of patients in London. Then, poof he was gone. Prudence Hartsmere-Drake was so happy to see he had finally returned. She was afraid he might not. It was interesting watching them go through a deductive process of getting the facts together and logically arrange them to make sense. It was such a good story and the twists to the tale made it even more entertaining. The characters were endearing and charming. It was snowing outside and you could almost see it. I want to thank the author for giving me the chance to read this novel. I received this ARC from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
Another good installment in the Wednesday Club series. I enjoy this author's books and will be sure to enjoy them for years to come. I liked the characters and the plot. I liked that Prudence didn't stand by and let life happen as well. She took the bull by the horns and didn't allow others to dictate her path to her. This one was a bit of a mystery (though I knew who the villain was before the reveal). I liked the chemistry between the characters, both the main ones and the secondary ones as well. This was an enjoyable read. I would recommend to those who enjoy this genre and want a quick, easy and fun read.
We have come to the end of the Wednesday Club. It is always sad to end a series. This series was such fun to read. The ladies of the Wednesday Club pulled no punches. The friendship was front and foremost the best thing about these stories. We have been teased with Ronan and Prudence for a while now and I loved their happily ever after story. It has a little bit of a mystery to go along with their journey. A great ending to a fabulous series.

Delightful story....love the Wednesday Club ladies, they never fail to deliver an entertaining story. This delivers a very adventurous bit of sleuthing, humor and steam. Prudence & Ronan's story takes a few twists and turns as they boldly explore their friendship and get a Christmas gift of love, definitely worth waiting for. I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the first book by this author that I have read, so I felt a bit lost with all of the references to the Wednesday club. Despite this, the unfolding romance between Prudence and Ronan as well as the suspense around involving Ronan‘s brother kept me reading on. Overall, this was an enjoyable read with a HEA ending.
