Xtreme Ops #2

To the Xtreme

Rate this book
In the Alaskan wilderness, meeting their match takes on more than one meaning.

Special Operative and second-in-command for the Xtreme Ops team, Harris Lipton, aka Lip, finds himself sidelined after an accident. While laid up, locating a loony in the national forest won’t be easy, especially by shooting off text messages instead of bullets. To make his life more difficult, he’s got a free-spirited granola-type park ranger nursing him—and she’s driving him crazy with a cute factor he never saw coming.

Jenna is up to her neck in securing a national park from a lunatic with enough C4 to blow off the corner of Alaska, and now she has a better likelihood of surviving a grizzly attack than military man Lipton. The pain in the neck is demanding and bossy with monumental ideas…and enough fire in him to warm her through the coldest of Alaskan nights.

Jenna and Lipton must band together to assist the Xtreme Ops team in stopping the criminal, but they have just enough time on their hands to discover that opposites DO attract. With sparks flying and a heavy mix of chemistry, what they’re discovering is how to create some fireworks of their own.

4.25. Though not as good as the first book, this romantic mystery holds your attention.
Harris Lipton and Jenna “Moon Shadow” are direct opposites, but their hearts don’t know that.
The author has a writing style that gives an edge over many other authors. Plus, her love scenes are extremely steamy.

The second book in the Xtreme Ops series is action packed, with danger, drama, suspense, twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat with each turn of the page as a national park in Alaska is being targeted.

Jenna, the park ranger, rescues Special Operative Harris while he is on vacation. They discover that his accident was something more. As Jenna helps Harris and his team uncover what is happing, chemistry burns and their pull become powerful. Great addition to the series.

I am absolutely addicted to Em Petrova's Xtreme Ops series! I have been a fan of this author's work for many years. There isn't a book that I haven't read. This series, though, is so far beyond any other series she has written before in the "incredible", "purely addictive", "holy macaroni!" department that I truly cannot say enough good things. You just need to read these books for yourself. You can thank me later. ;) Maybe it's the fact that it is set in the wilds of Alaska? Could it be the strapping hulk of men that make up the Xtreme Ops team? The women themselves are all fully capable and bad-arses themselves. I literally get giddy with excitement when I know that this author is releasing a new book from this series.

Harris "Lip" Lipton is a Special Operative bomb specialist from a rough upbringing. His parents and the foster care system let him down and now trusting anyone other than himself or his Xtreme Ops brothers does not come easy. When he is rescued from being pinned by a tree in Denali National Park by a green eyed "forest nymph" park ranger going by the nickname of Moon Shadow, he immediately feels a physical and emotional bond to her he has never felt before. Can he learn to trust another, especially one that is so extremely opposite from him?

Jenna Underwood feels most like her true self when she is amongst nature. Being a park ranger in Denali is a dream come true for her. When she is asked to be a part of the team searching for a madman setting explosives among the treetops, she felt honored to be included in such an important mission. She never realized that the man she helped rescue from a fallen tree would be part of the team. Thoughts of Lip began occupying her mind, and with the more she got to know him, her thoughts and views of others began to change. She started questioning the intentions of others, hearing Lip's voice inside her head. She was wildly attracted Lip, not to mention sexually attracted to him, but could she allow her heart to fall in love with a man who so completely distrusts others, always questioning first instead of seeing the positive?

These two do some serious soul searching while on the search for a killer. Will they let their guards down enough to allow themselves to fall in love? Or will they walk away from each other at the end of the mission, leaving themselves just as lonely as when they first met?

A truly AMAZING plot centered around an intriguing and multifaceted group of characters. The gorgeous Alaska setting is just icing on the cake. 10,000% you should 1-click buy this book today!!!

To the Xtreme is the second book in Em Petrova’s Xtreme Ops series where the forces of nature combine with the threats and danger these exceedingly Alpha men face when fighting for the safety of their country and the freedom to live in peace and tranquility. But sometimes even the most rugged and capable soldier can succumb to injury and that inability to perform will drive him to the end of his wits.

Lieutenant Harris “Lip” Lipton is the second in command of the Xtreme Ops and his nature is best described as brusque and standoffish at the best of times but add a broken ankle and he becomes the poster child for difficult and disgruntled; so being saved by a Woodland Fairy doesn’t help his “cough” sweet disposition at all. As time progresses and Jenna Underwood (the Fairy, well not literally) continues to make her presence felt, Lip finds the unwelcome attraction for the Park Ranger harder to deny and nature eventually takes its course. But danger is lurking in the National Park and Jenna’s trust of everyone she encounters is grating on Lip’s every nerve.

To the Xtreme is an adrenaline packed, suspense romance that draws the reader in and keeps a tight hold until the last page is turned. With a devastating, unpredictable but beautiful landscape and a cast that brings strength to the storyline, this is an exciting and fast-paced read that is easily consumed in one sitting. Lip and Jenna have not only chemistry, but an ability to overcome adversity, complement each other’s differences and exude a passion that burns at a combustible level. A wonderful addition to the series and another thoroughly entertaining read by Ms Petrova. As always, I’m looking forward to the next instalment of this exciting series.

Special Operative and second-in-command for the Xtreme
Ops team, Lt. Harris Lipton, aka Lips finds himself flat on his back with a broken ankle looking up into the green eyes of his “fairy-nymph” Moon Shadow aka Park Ranger Jenna Underwood in the Alaskan wilderness of the Denali National Park. Lip being an explosive specialist with the Operatives suspected and the team figured out that someone was stringing the tops of the trees with explosives and setting them off and either injuring or killing people in the park randomly over the past year or so. This story grabs ahold from the beginning and doesn’t let go. Lip is military and had an extremely rough life up until he joined the Marines. Moon Shadow being just a laid back care free easy going always sees the good side of everything and everyone kinda hippy ranger but they both care about helping people.
It takes a matter of days before the chemistry is running hot between them, even though they seem so opposite and different they can’t fight it. The Alpha male protector comes out in Lip rather quickly especially with a killer running lose in the Park, but Moon Shadow being the stubborn, strong willed and very determined woman is having no part of that. Lots of action, suspense, heat, tension, emotions, intensity and romance. Who could be doing this and why? Will the team get to the bottom of this? Can they put a stop to and capture the bomber? Will Lip and Moon Shadow be able to get past their differences enough to make a go of it? Will they even want to after all they go through?
I really enjoyed the mystery in the story and the romantic journey of Lip and Moon Shadow.
Great story and wonderful characters. Must read. Love this authors works! Have read many of her stories. I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.

To The Xtreme is book 2 in the Xtreme Ops series. Lip (aka Harris Lipton) is on a vacation from his high-stress job as second in command of the Xtreme Ops group in Alaska. Where does he go for vacation? Alaska, of course! Jenna Underwood is a park ranger in Alaska. She loves her job! A seemingly random accident brings the two of them together and begins a mad dash search for someone who is threatening park visitors.

Lip is a good character. His drive for success has a solid foundation. His reasons for being closed off from potential relationships make sense. There is only one moment in the story that I didn't like his actions but I can understand why he did what he did. Jenna was a pretty well-rounded character. She knows her mind and is clear about how she lives. I did have a problem with her demanding that Lip bend to meet her lifestyle and long term plans. In the end, they are an unlikely pair but they work well as a couple. Ok, here's a big one for me, I even liked the "bad guy". The motivations and actions made sense. Even the big reveal and conclusion were satisfying.

I did have a small issue with how many times Lip calls Jenna by nicknames. Their love story is SUPER condensed (think days now weeks) so his use of a nickname(s) is a bit much. Also, dude! I missed the rest of the darn team. They only made brief appearances. So sad.

I recommend this book if you are looking for a super fast read with an even faster love story. I recommend reading this series in order because you probably want to know how the Xtreme Ops team ended up in Alaska.

HOT! HOT! HOT! Can I give this story 10 gold stars?!

This author is total favorite of mine. I think I almost burnt out my e-reader and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The plot kept me in suspense as I was trying to guess who could be setting off the explosives and for what purpose. The author does a fabulous job in the way she writes. The storylines are so engrossing and never the same thing. I really don't know how she does it. I have stopped reading some authors as their stories tends to be the same thing over and over again. Not with Ms. Petrova. Each book is new and fresh.

I loved getting to know Lipton more in this his' story and how he falls for Jenna. Jenna is a park ranger in the Denali National Park in Alaska. She comes to his rescue when a tree top falls on him. The man gets a vacation and instead of going to someplace warm for the week, no he stays in Alaska and goes hiking! The alpha in Harris comes out in force with Jenna. She has male friends, goes hiking alone, meets people on said hikes and joins their campfires. Yep I bet Harris Lipton got a few gray hairs there!

This story is written in a dual POV format. That really helps me to connect with the characters in a way that I fully understand them (there is a scene where I wanted to slap Jenna near the end!) But getting that glimpse really helped me to understand where she was coming from.

This is a very sexy story. I highly recommend it to anyone OVER the age of 18. If you love an ex-military, alpha male protector and a strong female to match with a heart of gold, then you definitely have to read this!

Harris Lipton was on vacation hiking the Denali National Park...he could have gone to California for beaches and babes, but decided to take in the splendor of his Alaskan home base...He was looking at scenery under a copse of trees when there was a loud noise and a tree fell onto him...Waking to a green-eyed Park Ranger peering at him giving him concussion protocol questions...she assisted with getting branches off him, but he had a "twisted" ankle which she insisted was broken, and Lip wanted to prove her wrong...so after an excruciating walking trip down to an ATV, a trip to hospital for a cast and visit from his C.O. Penn, he was sidelined for 8-10 weeks with broken ankle...but the team was looking into why and who would plant C-4 explosives in trees which became their new mission. Although he couldn't use his leg, Lip was set up in a ranger cabin used for emergencies with computers and background on the number of hikers who suffered causalities from falling trees...and Park Ranger Jenna to look in on him...she was his opposite, seeing the good in everyone, a vegetarian do-gooder who would take hikes with random strangers, with a trail name of Moon Shadow...Lipton was hardened by an abusive father, a string of bad foster homes, living on the streets for a year before joining the Marines at 18, trusting few except his team as family...so can these opposites find a common ground while looking for a madman targeting parks??? You will need to read the story to find out what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

To the Xtreme is the second book in the Xtreme Ops series by Em Petrova. As always, the author has done a great job of creating a stand-alone story that doesn’t require you to read the prior one … although you’ll probably be inspired to want to do so after you finish this book.

Harris is a member of an Xtreme Ops team based in Alaska, tasked with doing dangerous work all the time. When he finally gets a break for leave, and decides to explore Alaska’s Denali National Park, having no clue that that decision will change his life forever. ‘Moon Shadow’ is a park ranger, a capable, strong woman who also doesn’t have a cynical bone in her body, talks to plants, and has relentless faith in the goodness of people. They couldn’t be more different, but the chemistry between them quickly becomes too strong to ignore.

This story is fast-paced and interesting, with some mystery and intrigue, great secondary characters, and passion as explosive as the dynamite that somebody is exploding in the Park. Even after the mystery is resolved, Harris and Moon Shadow (also known as Jenna) still have a lot of angst to work through if they’re going to reach a HEA. I liked both characters a lot, but I especially appreciated how difficult it was for Harris to recognize and believe in love, when it is not something he ever experienced before in his life. This book pulled me in and kept me interested right to the very last sentence of the epilogue.

Neither Harris or Jenna are looking for love, but it doesn’t take long for both of them to realize that the heart wants what the heart wants....even if love is unexpected and messy. Harris is definitely grumpy and disgruntled when his injury forces him to take a backseat in the hunt for a bomber in the national park that his team and the park rangers are conducting. Jenna is the park ranger who helped him when he was injured, and he swears she is part nymph, part ninja and part siren. Right from the start, Harris feels a connection, a spark between them that he has never felt with anyone before. He doesn’t know whether to ignore it or to embrace it given his painful past and his dangerous career. As the dangerous incidents escalate, both Jenna and Harris can’t stay away from each other and Harris discovers that he will do anything to protect her. Jenna is a free-spirited, confident and competent woman who balks at his need to protect her. When the investigation forces her to re-examine her beliefs, her friendships and her work, Jenna’s confidence in herself and decision making skills takes a severe hit. So does her relationship with Harris. She can feel his love for her, but their careers, their outlooks on life make their relationship an impossible dream...doesn’t it? Will they fight for their love or will they return to their singular lives?

A great mix of love and danger

This book had everything I love - alpha heroes, self-rescuing women and romantic suspense. This tale is a wonderful balance of love and danger. This is the second book in the Xtreme Ops series. It has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, dangerous heart stopping action, strong team dynamics, and even a few chuckles. So expect to laugh, swoon, cry, gasp, cringe, and cheer. Harris Lipton is the member of the Xtreme Ops team based in Alaska. Jenna is a park ranger in Denali. During his leave, Harris goes hiking in Denali but a tree top falls on him breaking his ankle. Jenna comes to his aid. Unfortunately, it was not a freak of nature, an explosive charge caused the tree top to collapse. The intrigue and danger does not let up for most of the book except for the loving moments between Jenna and Harris that are beautifully woven into the story. As they work together to investigate the explosives, their feelings for each other continue to grow. I love a book with a sexy alpha hero but I also love one that includes a sexy, smart heroine too rather than a damsel in distress. To the Xtreme does a great job giving us two strong main characters who balance each other perfectly, grow into the relationship, and work together to make it to forever. I am excited to read the next book in this series.

This was a good, fast paced read. In the first book, I thought it was more team focused even though Penn and Cora developed a romance. This book had Lip being more isolated from the team as he and Jenna developed their romance.

I don't think the level of suspense waa as intense in this book. It seemed a little lighter to me. I really tried not to let it, but Jenna's behavior bothered me. I am not saying that she had to bow to the Xtreme Ops team, but couldn't she have exercised some self control and not continually run into danger?

Her excuse of being trained and carrying a weapon was lame at best. For her to put her knowledge of the park up as better than the team could not be disputed. But, for her to act like she was trained on the level of Xtreme Ops and could handle herself equally as well was ridiculous.

I also think I missed something in the explanation of why what was happening in Denali Park was happening.

An interesting read with moments of suspense, action, and romance. Lip and Jenna had times that I liked them together and times where I didn't see how they were going to work through their differences. Yet, they made it to their HEA.

The is book two in the Xtreme Ops series. Another hit for Em Petrova. It's fast paced, hot, action filled military romantic suspense. I love this series and the way the guys interact with each other, they're not just a team they're family. When these hot alpha military guys fall, they fall hard. I love that the author makes the women in her books strong and independent. They don't need a man they want a partner. I'm really looking forward to book three.

Jenna comes to Harris' rescue when he's taken out by a branch that was busted when explosives were detonated in the tree above him. Now his Xtreme Ops teammates are out hunting for the person or persons involved in the explosions that have injured hikers in the park. Thanks to a broken ankle Harris has been sidelined in a cabin. Jenna keeps showing up to check on him and help out. The more Harris gets to know Jenna the deeper he falls but he doesn't think he's good enough for her and they're to different. Can they make it work and get to the bottom of who the bomber is before it’s too late?

This is a simply captivating read, a great second in the series
Harris Lipton “Lip” to his friends has for the first time found himself unable to take part in missions because of the injuries he received and whilst he is waiting to heal up, he has removed himself to the national forest.
Whilst he is in the temporary home, he is being cared for by a young woman that is nurse/park ranger and as annoying as she is, he cannot help but actually like her, Jenna on the other hand finds herself actually starting to like Harris.
She had thought that nearly being killed by a grizzly bear was her worst moment but having to work with her patient day after day is more that a mere mortal can stand and she is at her last bursting point, and he is about to feel her wrath.
This is a very amusing story with plenty of action with great characters and a wonderful plot, I assure you that once you begin reading you will not be able to put the book down.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Harris can’t believe someone tried to take him out, but lucky for Harris, park ranger Jenna comes to his rescue leaving him with only his anger and a broken ankle. Danger is lurking the national park as this was no accident with explosives being used and when his SEAL team is brought in to investigate, Harris will get another chance to spend time with the sexy ranger who he can’t get off his mind. Jenna is drawn to Harris but his rough attitude leaves a lot to be desired as she helps the SEAL team with their investigation as they link together past incidents in the park. Sparks fly between Jenna and Harris with each meeting and soon they can’t keep their hands off each other, but with Harris casting suspicion on all her friends and coworkers is driving a wedge between them. With danger ever increasing as they narrow in on their suspect, the final explosion will leave Jenna & Harris on opposite sides. Harris is a fighter and refuses to give up as he’s determined to show Jenna that they can make this relationship work.

Harris has a week off from Extreme Ops, so he decided to go hiking in Denali National Forest. Everything was going fine when he heard a crack, and ends up laying on the ground with a tree top on him looking into a female forest ranger's eyes. Jenna tells him the tree was weakened by weather conditions, but they learned someone had rigged the tree top to explode. That was only part of the problem, Harris had broken his ankle in the fall but refused to believe it. They had to get off the mountain and to a hospital, and the rest of the team there to start the investigation. Harris was going to be out for several weeks, which he was having none of so they put him in a cabin at the park doing background entail. Jenna continued to check on him with them getting closer all the time. They would do almost anything to see the other one. Jenna wanted to believe the best of everyone which caused her and Harris to argue frequently as he had seen so many horrible things. A story of opposites attract.

A novel hidden under an exciting story.

Jenna works as a park ranger and finds an injured man.
Harris works as an Xtreme cop and enjoys his well-deserved vacation when he gets hit by a tree. Only, it is not just any fallen tree. It is a tree full of C4 and the fact that he only breaks his ankle is a miracle. He is assisted by a green-eyed nymph.

Jenna keeps an eye on the side when Harris in a remote cabin where he has to watch his team search for the culprit.
Jenna with her heart open and confident hits him like a woman has never hit him before. He himself is always suspicious and warns Jenna against the trust she gives everyone. It breaks his heart when it turns out that her co-worker Paul appears to be involved with the bombs. And it also breaks their gently constructive relationship. Could a hard man like Harris be good enough for hot Jenna?

Exciting story with unexpected twists. I thought halfway through the story that Jake was the wanted man. He was wanted, but not for the C4 bombs in the park
Well put together. Fortunately a HEA

This takes place in the Alaskan wilderness and has danger, explosives and betrayal. In the marines Harris was the one they called when they needed a bomb deactivated. He is now part of the Xtreme OPS special operative hunting fugitives, drug smuggles and human traffickers. Harris went backpacking in Denali National Park on his short leave. He broke his ankle and was rescued by a park ranger who called herself Moon Shadow. OFFAT - Operation Freedom Flag Alaska Tundra is a division of Homeland Security Harris works for and his team was called in when he discovered explosives after his accident.

Jenna is a park ranger in Denali National Park who loves to hike by herself during her downtown. She cares about the hikers and animals she rescues in the park. She also cares about keeping the parks safe for everyone and not having people litter. She is a vegetarian who talks to her plants and is a free spirit.

Get ready for an action-packed, thrilling adventure in Denali National Park!

Harris is all set for a relaxing vacation in Denali until a falling tree branch knocks him flat, breaking his ankle in the process. Being rescued by Jenna, the park ranger who reminds him of a forest nymph, is just the start of an investigation into who is setting off explosives in the park, killing innocent hikers.

Harris and Jenna couldn't be more different, and I really enjoyed reading about their developing romance despite their disparate lifestyles. Their intense chemistry was beautifully balanced with the growing tension surrounding the investigation and how that investigation was highlighting their differences.

I loved revisiting the Xtreme Ops crew and seeing how they've matured as a team. This author really knows how to bring the heat and heart to all her stories, and this one is every bit as good as the first. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Harris Lipton is special operative whose only romantic relationships with women were quickies. He complained when he broke his leg hiking on his vacation wishing he had been on a beach with a bikini clad partner somewhere else, never mind that if he hadn't gone hiking in Denali his team might not have discovered that someone was planting bombs in the national park. Park Ranger and trail blazer Jenna “Moon Shadow” Underwood always looks for the good in people even though someone is setting off bombs on people in her park. She struck me as naive at times, rushing into situations and making excuses for potential killers. Her job does involve some danger and Harris is foolish to think he can stop her from doing it. It's not like he has a quiet little desk job either. She's vegetarian and he loves meat. She loves plants and taking care of others and he's closed off after a rough childhood. They have plenty of arguments and steamy makeup sessions in this action packed romance.

This is probably a real alpha man’s worst nightmare! Special Operative and second-in-command for the Xtreme Ops team, Harris Lipton (“Lip”), a bomb specialist, breaks his ankle and is confined to a cabin, unable to actively join the team in the search for a crazy bomber loose in the Denali National Park. He is frustrated but still trying to do whatever he can to help find the crazy criminal before more people were hurt or killed.

When Jenna Underwood, a sweet nurturing park ranger decides to take care of him after his rescue, he can’t figure out why he’s so attracted to her while she drives him crazy. They do have some time together to get to know each other. But he is so distrustful of people and negative, while she openly and warmly trusts everyone she meets. He realizes how different they are, and so does she. Could she fall in love with a man like that? Or are they too different to make a relationship work?

An excellent addition to this series of books by Em Petrova. The chemistry between Harris and Jenna is explosive right from the start. When she finds Harris injured in the National Park she aids him to get him out safely. They realize there are explosives being set off in the park so Harris calls in his team to see if they can find the lunatic who is causing the trouble. Harris is not an easy man to take care of. This book has drama, suspense and romance. There are lots of twists and turns that keep you reading. A hard book to put down. It is a seriously hot read with sexy, strong characters. The love bug hits hard and fast. This book takes sexy to the max. Grab the cold water and a fan! Lots of mind blowing sex. It is sexy and wicked. Consider me obsessed with this series and look forward to the next story. This book shows that opposites do attract and anything can be worked out. This is the story of Harris "Lip" Lipton, bomb expert of the Xtreme Ops team and park ranger Jenna "Moon Shadow" Underwood. They met when Jenna helped Lip as a tree fell on him and broke his ankle. That was when Harris discovered that the trees had been rigged with C-4. The Xtreme Ops team were called and the park rangers, including Jenna, were there to help them. They need to find who put the bombs on the trees and why. As they go through this mission, there is the attraction between Lip and Jenna. How can they be together when they are from different worlds? This is for me, another well-written story that has strong characters with the suspense, mystery, danger, action and romance that had me engaged from the beginning. I like how the Xtreme Ops team work together. I enjoyed reading this story and I am loving this series. Looking forward to the next story.

Being rescued by a Park Ranger, a woman no less, after he has a freak accident doesn't exactly make Harris 'Lip' Lipman warm and fuzzy. Jenna Underwood aka Moon Shadow loves her job. She gets to be ourdoors, hiking trails she loves, observing the wildlife sometimes rescuing them and that includes the two legged kind. The Xtreme Ops team has a big problem on their hands. Someone is makng explosive devices and setting them off in the park, injuring park visitors. They tap Jenna for information and Lip is working intel behind a computer. He's suspicious of everyone. The exact opposite of Jenna who trust everyone, maybe a little too easily. Despite their differences these two light each other up. But, is it sustainable? She's in for some big disappointments and a couple of surprises. Harris knows that Jenna is unlike any other woman he's ever met and losing her would be his greatest mistake.

An absolutely Outstanding Suspense Romance .
Another Fantastic story from the Xtreme Ops series . It is full of action , suspense , intrigue and romance . This story takes you on an intense rollercoaster ride . This is the second book in the Xtreme Ops series . This is Harris Lipton (LIP) and Park Ranger Jennas story .
Harris is almost killed when a tree falls and knocks him out . He comes to and finds Jenna has come to his rescue . Harris is sidelined from the mission due to his broken leg . He will do intel . Sitting around is driving him crazy as does the free spirited Jenna . Their chemistry is off the charts . They fight their feelings for each other while searching for the maniac that's that's blowing up the park . Harris and Jenna with the Xtreme Ops team work together to find and stop the bomber . I love this story . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

This was a great book about how opposites can attract. That even though two people who seem completely different, beneath it all, could be similar.

I really liked Jenna. She was smart, brave and had an amazing heart for animals along with humans. She was doing a job that she loved and knew who she was. I loved that she felt the need to take care of Lip even thought this was a man who could take care of himself. I loved the plant she gave him.

Lip was a great character. He was a strong, demanding, and control freak of a man. So having him break his leg and being at a disadvantage, was not an easy thing to grasp for him. I liked reading about his confusion on why he was interested in Jenna. She wasn't his "type" but yet he was drawn to her in a way he couldn't describe.

The book was intense, emotional, and has some really fun banter. The sexy times were off the charts!

This is the second book in this series and Em nailed it again. Perfect blend of adventure and romance with laughter and emotion.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Lieutenant Harris Lipton is always on duty, even while on vacation he can't just sit on a beach and relax. That's how he found himself hiking in a state park, until he was on his back with a green eyed nymph looking down at him. Now he's laid up with a broken ankle and trying to help his team solve a case without falling for his park ranger.
Jenna is all about her life in Alaska and solo hiking other parks around the state. Her and the Big grumpy man could never work out. He is suspicious of everyone and she trusts everyone.
Lots of fun conflict in this one.
