Being an empath is like having a superpower, but the ability to take on other people's emotions can also be overwhelming. The Empath's Workbook will help you gain more control over what you feel, and teach you how to develop your intuitive gifts with insightful advice, guided exercises, and self-exploration.

Embrace your empathy, learn to love yourself, and reach for your wildest dreams with The Empath's Workbook .
Curious about many aspects of mental, physical, spiritual, emotional and other forms of life experiences just lately, I picked this book up on Kindle Unlimited and was impressed with it’s straightforward tone and simple language.
A lot was relevant, much was irrelevant to my own experience, much was helpful and some was challenging.
Talk of the ‘star-seed children’ however just turned me right around and sent me scurrying back to the beginning. That one was just a bit too ‘way out there’ for me. As Joni Mitchell sang, ‘we are stardust’ and yes we’re made of the same elements as the rest of the Universe, but my cosmology doesn’t fit with this and made me dizzy to the point of screeching ‘um, no!’.
Okay so if this is your thing, great. Get with it.
Being an empath comes naturally. Being an empowered empath requires training.
If you weren't aware that you were an empath before reading this book, you'll find it helpful in discovering the possible reasons for why you think and feel the way you do. If you have long been aware that you're an empath, you'll find the information and strategies helpful in navigating through a world that we empaths often feel misplaced in. The hopeful energy of this author conveys easily through her words and upon completion of my reading I readily absorbed it and her message. Both of which I was grateful for.
A great handbook to start understanding characteristics of an empath - both good and bad.
It’s a really complete book in that it touches several life areas of the empath (work, relationships, family, parenting, etc) and gives practical exercises to become an empowered empath in each arena.
It also includes several options for exercises. Some based on the academic realm and others based on more eclectic sources.
It’s a fun, practical workbook that is a great primer for someone who is wondering whether they’re an empath and that will surely help them become more empowered.
Amazingly insightful and useful, and full of thought-provoking writing prompts and wonderful ideas for activities to embrace and enhance your life as an empath. This book really helped me understand myself more.
While it took quite a while to complete and absorb the information, I found it extremely helpful. Recommend breaks to import and understand between chapters and activities
I absolutely love this workbook! I wasn’t completely sure I was an empath, but this made a lot of connections for me. It helped me better understand why I react a certain way to people and/or situations, and gave exercises to try in public settings to prevent the usual irritations and annoyances. Very eye opening, with a lot of personal touches. Krista shares personal and patient (names changed) stories at the beginning of each section and periodically throughout the workbook. I highly recommend this book to anyone who believes they are sensitive to their surroundings and/or feel they have heightened awareness. I loved it so much I purchased a second copy for a good friend of mine.
To start off with, I’m not sure I’ve ever given much thought to empathy other than the usual: feeling empathy for another, which (I hope) all of us have experienced at one time or another. So reading through Krista Carpenter’s book, the Empath’s Workbook, was a bit of an eye-opener. In it, she details the characteristics of an empath, common likes and dislikes, areas where they tend to be effective, areas where they tend to be vulnerable, and so on.
On top of educating novices like me, the Empath’s Workbook is an actual workbook. There are multiple sections where you can gauge where you might fall on the empath spectrum, and it offers an abundance of tips on dealing with the unique life an empath might lead.
Where the Empath’s Workbook really shines to me is how accessible it is. As a newcomer to the intricacies of the subject matter, the book is easy to get into and understand. You don’t have to climb over a wall of insider jargon. And best of all, the book is a breezy read. The author herself comes across as easily relatable, hinting at past relationships that didn’t go so well like we’ve all had. So, if you’ve been curious about the subject or wondering if you might be an empath yourself, the Empath’s Workbook is a fantastic place to start.
