The Cold Case: A Romantic Mystery
During her time in the police force, Renée has seen a lot of things happen to a lot of people, but whenever tragedy befell one of her own, it drove her closer to the edge of despair.

For those who like a little romance with some suspense this is the prefect book for it! As usual this author does not disappoint! If you haven't read anything from her you truly are missing out!

I enjoyed the story line but hated how it ended. It’s pretty much a cliff hanger as they never catch the bad guy. There was also a lot of time changes from past to present that sometimes confused me as to what time we were in.
This was a romantic mystery and yet it felt like there wasn’t a whole lot of romance or mystery. The plot was interesting enough, but only because I wanted to find out Glenn’s secret which turns out to be a supernatural element to the book. When Renee finds out about his secret her reaction is, everything makes sense, and they go on like nothing even happened. It felt a little unbelievable.
The writing was good, and I would be willing to take a chance and read another book from this author.

The writing was quite good in this short read, but with each page I kept comparing the story to a television show (Forever) that was on a few years ago. An immortal doctor serving in a big city morgue helps solve crimes with the intriguing and sexy detective. It becomes clear in the book that regardless of what befalls him, the doc can't die. Soon, the detective figures it out, too (well, she is a detective…). The reason I didn't give this story a higher rating is the ending, which seemed like a cop-out to me. The writing is good, and that's why I took a chance on another of her books, Stranger Light, which I really enjoyed.

We have written this romantic mystery with a different style in the hopes of generating a little community buzz and participation. The book is complete and can stand as written, but we have purposely left several parts of the mystery open to interpretation and discussion.
