Really I don’t know why I do this myself... I already know what to expect but I take the leap and ready it anyways.

Some Siren authors are a hit or miss for me, unfortunately this authors has always been a miss. Which makes me so sad because their plots and “situations” are what I’m always looking for in a book.

Short, fast-paced story. Could have been slightly better but since it was a short story, it was not all that bad. I am sort of interested in reading about Shane and Casey too. See...not bad! But I would have liked to see a little more on Mikhia, Dillon and Lucas.

I hate it here.

My montra while reading these types of books. I'm very aware that they are the types of novels that I do not like. They are there for light story and smut. Where as I like smut but I need some substance around it. So why do I read these? Well. Because I like suffering and because it's almost the end of the year and I still needed 5 books so thanks to this author and a graphic novel I already had, I'm down to 1 in just 3 days.

Now I didn't choose this completely at random. A friend recommended this author warning me that her older stuff was kind of bad but newer was very good. So I chose an older Novel and a newer one, picking similar subject.

Now this one is definitely better in terms of the arching story but it's still lacking. Maybe shifter romance just doesn't do it for me because I hate the way they refer to their panther as a separate entity. I hate the mate nonsense and most of all I hate mpreg. I hate it so much and yet both books I read by Hagen had it. This one at least didn't make me read a grotesque birthing scene which I appreciate.

This one did however have a single interesting character. The Mcs friend who was set up to br the subject of the next book in the series. He was a sassy gay and I genuinely like him. But to my dismay it looks like Hagen dropped this world. Which is a shame because it had so much more going on than the bear country world I read. Which looks like it has at least 9 installments. Seriously. Give me the demons and the sassy gay rather than the cookie cutter twink and bears I'm sure everything else has.

This book was better but I still hate it here. 1.5 stars.

I took a detour and decided to visit Lynn Hagen - this time a short series I had not read before - Sacred Bonds. I picked it up expecting a nice little snack of a read, and that is what I got. Tasty - short - uncomplicated - fated mates - male pregnancy. This series focuses on triads where 2 of the members are brothers and not involved with each other - they focus on their third - the breeder.
As a short snack the characters and plot are not complex or developed. Holes in the story are bound to exist. I sometimes wonder what Lynn could produce if she ever decided to develop her characters and story.

Exciting.....

I don't know what Dillon excepted, he had not only one man loving him, but two. This was one amazing adventure for the three of them, being kidnapped and then rescued. And, still on the lookout and seeking revenge for the one demon, who's the cause of it all. I can't wait for the next book, to see what happens.

This was an ok start to a new paranormal series with two Alpha panther shifters coming to town looking for the demon who killed there family and finding their mate in the process

Un libro sobre un chico llamado Dillon que tiene sueños que se convierten en realidad por lo que sueña con los dos hermanos Luca y Mikhia que llegan al pueblo a buscar venganza ya que una criatura mató a su familia, cuando se conocen Luca se siente atraído por Dillon gracias a su pantera ya que son hombres panteras por lo que le coquetea mucho para que este con ambos.
Me gustó que este ambientado en un pueblito chico en el que todos se conocen, me cae demasiado mal el papá de Dillon por homofobico, pero ame que al final Dillon se fuera con sus dos hombres a vivir feliz.

Wow! This was so intense yet very enthralling. Two brothers looking for revenge but were gifted with finding their human mate, Dillon. Mikhia and Lucas were both panther shifters who had lost their family to an evil demon, so they wanted to kill the demon and his few minions. There was so much more to this story but I don't want to spoil it. I loved the characters, especially Casey, and the writing was wonderful (written in first person through the perspective of the three main characters). I was captured from beginning to end. I truly hope that there is more to this world (series). Amazing. :D
