Book 1: Caspian's Fortune
He needs a payday. He’ll settle for payback.
Betrayed and left to rot on the edges of the galaxy, Caspian Robeaux is deep in debt and stuck flying courier missions in an old rustbucket he can barely keep afloat. His only friends are an annoying robot named Box and a bottle of booze.
It’s a far cry from his once-promising military career, but Cas stopped caring a long time ago.
Things start to look up, though, when a stranger arrives and offers a lucrative job that Cas can’t refuse, with a payday big enough to change his fortunes permanently. His luck gets even better when Cas learns that the job might offer him the one thing he wants more than his next drink: A chance to clear his name.
But nothing in his life is ever that simple, and for a man trying to buy his way out of debt, the price of redemption might be too steep.

Book 2: Tempest Rising
It was just supposed to be one job. But once the Coalition has you, they never let go…
Caspian Robeaux thought his troubles were over when he disrupted the Coalition’s plans and the person who had betrayed him found himself behind bars.
But life is rarely so simple.
Now the Coalition has a new mission for him, one that takes him right back into the heart of the enemy who helped cost him his freedom.
The question is, can he step up to the challenge, or will his past continue to determine his future?

Book 3: Darkest Reach
He tried to bury it. But some things refuse to stay hidden.
Having survived his encounter with the mysterious Sil race, Caspian and the crew of the USCS Tempest receive a new assignment: investigate the threat emerging far beyond the Coalition’s borders. With its advanced engines, Tempest is the only ship fast enough to reach whatever is out there before they cross into Coalition territory.
But just because Cas is part of the mission now doesn’t mean the crew has to like it. Being back on board a starship hasn’t been easy, and now that he’s been tasked with keeping their new ally from killing the crew, it isn’t getting any easier. It seems his only option is to bury what the Coalition did to him and return to the model officer he used to be.
Tensions and tempers rise when the ship gets stuck at the edge of a seldom-traveled nebula, costing them precious time and energy. But is there something more to this dark edge of space? As the mystery unfolds, Caspian realizes not only is this unlike anything he’s ever seen before, but he may not be able to bury his past as deep as he hoped.

BONUS! Soon's Folly: An Infinity's End Story
Good Soldiers Follow Orders.
Lieutenant Commander Samiya Gysan of the USCS Achlys is your standard officer. Or at least, she was. But once everything went to hell and their first officer got himself arrested things have been...different. She isn't sure if it's her new captain, or the blatant blind eye everyone else seems to turn regarding this mission they're on, but something isn't right and Samiya knows it.

“We strive to be the best versions of ourselves.”
Sharp dialogue, deep characters, a bit of humour wrapped in a non-stop edge of a seat action book.
The real joy is watching the characters deal with one calamity after another. The action makes for true white-knuckle, page-turning reading. Hop aboard for a great ride. Action is almost non-stop. Interpersonal relationships are intense. And I'm very glad that the next book in the series will be out soon, because I really, really want to find out what happens next. Eric Warren always leaves me wanting for more!

Some very good characters in the books and though the development of characters was a bit laboured at times. My only criticism is why is the main character so ostracised when the society he now resides in us supposed to be morally and ethically above this, though it does create lots of threads within the storyline
Good humour in the first 2 books which disappeared in book 3 and was much needed. All in all a good story arc which wants you to continue reading so just downloaded books 4 to 6.

Begin this amazing and immersive series with this box set. Once in his life, Caspian Robeaux had been a rising officer within the Coalition' s Sovereign Navy until doing what he'd thought was right cost him his career and nearly his life;  leaving him barely surviving in the Sargan Commonwealths lawless borders. What Caspian didn't expect was not only to be roped back the Organization that destroyed his future but becoming an important player to the Coalition a they seek an alliance with the mysterious Sil race with an unknown alien invasion slowly creeping closer to the borders of Coalition space. Caspian finds himself on the road to redemption at the same time willing to give all he has to give countless lives a chance to live as their world is going to be turned upside down... forever. Highly recommended.
