This was one of the more sophisticated and well written harlequin romance books. It wasn’t an easy reader that you can read in a day (or when drowsy as was my case😊)but an entertaining storyline nevertheless. Though they were most often at odds with one another the characters often had witty banter back and forth which created a lot of chemistry to keep the reader interested.

That being said these were the problems with the story.
The heroine. Without giving too much of the story away, she had a definite antipathy towards the hero right from the start which he continued to feed by his constant criticisms and accusations. Though you couldn’t really blame her she would question his motives when he appeared gallant and kind- she believed he hated her all throughout the book even until the very end. I would have liked to have seen her capitulate a little towards him and shown some emotion especially towards the latter part of the story.
The storyline. There was a lot of shop talk and business dealings which wove into the plot involving both H and h, highlighting the hero’s motives and behavior, but it was a bit too much detail for my taste. I would have rather seen more time given to develop the relationship between H and h.

Overall I give it a solid 4 stars, worth reading.

Overall, a good story. Juliet starts out fight against Karl, but in the end they get together.
