Tsukumizu (つくみず, a pseudonym, real name unknown) is a Japanese cartoonist. They are best known for the manga series Girls' Last Tour (2014-2018), a slice-of-life in a post-apocalyptic setting, and Shimeji Simulation (2019-2024), a 'yonkoma' (four panel strip) surrealist comedy.

EN I honestly expected much more from this book.
While reading it, it felt like a loose blend of "Blame!" and "Horizon", but without reaching the level or impact of either. The story follows two young girls wandering aimlessly through a kind of dystopian city. They seem unaware of what happened to the world or where everyone else has gone, so their conversations remain largely trivial, centred on their day-to-day attempts to survive.
In essence, it reads like a dystopian slice of life. Occasionally they encounter other people, and although such meetings are supposedly rare, everyone reacts to them as if they were entirely normal, eventually parting ways without much consequence.
It is an easy, comfortable read, and the artwork is pleasant, but the story itself feels lacking. There is little that truly compels the reader to turn the page, beyond the simple desire to reach the end.
