L’ultima cosa di cui avevo bisogno era di condividere un Uber con un avvocato arrogante. La vigilia di Natale, sotto la neve. Devo ricordarmi di chiedere a Babbo Natale un paio di occhiali, quest’anno. Ho scambiato un uomo favoloso che riposava fuori dal mio palazzo per un senzatetto bisognoso di un pranzo, e abbiamo litigato. Io stavo solo cercando di fare una buona azione, visto che siamo anche sotto le feste, ma lui mi ha dato della presuntuosa. Per questo l’ho insultato. Se solo potessi non rivederlo più… Ma sembra proprio che il destino abbia altri programmi.

Last year, I read 'Sexy Scrooge' in an anthology and really enjoyed it. The other two novellas were new to me, and both really cute. 'The Merry Mistake' was by far my favorite. I always enjoy the duo of Keeland/Ward and I enjoyed these Christmas novellas lots! The audio was narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York and was fun to listen to!

This book is for you if… there's nothing like some good old romantic intermezzos to have your heart sing glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ria.
⤐ Overall.
The entire audiobook amounts to less than three hours so everybody who's expecting big sensations is about as much of a fool as our favourite Christmas-hater and name sake to this collection; Ebenezer Scrooge.
All three short stories were cute and heartwarming. I was a bit disappointed that no les sexy times happened in any of the three stories but beggars can't be choosers. This was up on YouTube, to my complete and utter surprise and I'm thankful my book buddy made me aware of that.
They were each charming in their own way but Sexy Scrooge was definitely my favourite. I had the most fun listening to it!

4 STARS. Would stay up beyond my typical hours to finish it. I found some minor details I didn't like, agree with or lacked in some kind but overall, this was enjoyable and extraordinary.

Three short stories in a single volume makes for a difficult rating. I'll do my best, but it's always going to be problematic.
SEXY SCROOGE 5 stars
This is really short in both length and timeframe. It was also my favorite. It's a single day so it doesn't even try to establish a full relationship. It does an excellent job of connecting the dots and laying the foundation so that you can see the rest of the relationship trajectory perfectly fine, though. Short romance is really about the trajectory more than the destination, but that's an essay for another time.
THE MERRY MISTAKE 4 stars
I enjoyed the mistake and Piper being called out on her casual assumptions and being forced to rethink her charitable impulses. And I liked seeing how she takes it seriously and became involved in the life of her neighbor. I still think there's something arrogant (and lame) about doing service in someone's name as Christmas gifts. It seems like the kind of thing people convince themselves is good but it kind of dissolves under any kind of actual scrutiny. Again, that's an essay for another time. I liked the couple, though, and the story was interesting but the coincidences felt a bit forced and a little wish-fulfillment magicky.
KISSMAS IN NEW YORK 3 stars
This was the least satisfying. The coincidences were telegraphed and awkward. I didn't really buy the connection of the main couple as anything more than hormones and that isn't helped by them spending the bulk of the story separated by legal ethical rules. So they don't really develop much more than an acquaintance with a chemistry chaser. Also, the bet thing annoyed me. Which sounds like it sucked more than it did. I still liked the story and they were cute together once they managed to get past their misunderstanding.
Overall
So I'm giving this four stars as an average, but also because that just feels right for these stories as a collection. A good holiday read.
A note about Audiobook: I think these were created with audio in mind and certainly they got the right talent for it. So well-done.
A note about Chaste: There are enough mentions of sexual response and such that this is a wobbly chaste designation. There's no actual explicit sex on-page, so I consider it chaste, but others may be more strict.

3.5 ⭐'s
Three cute, short Christmas stories that certainly get you in the mood.
I usually don't read short, holiday stories...there's just not enough "meat" in the story for me. But...this year, I needed a little something something.
I think my favorite was Sexy Scrooge, however, Kissmas in New York was very similar. And how could you not love a story where a man gives the woman a bag of dicks? The Merry Mistake does that and more.
I'll leave you with my favorite quote:
“It was like kissing my Christmas tree, by the way.”
("By the way" he really, really like it!)

Fun, quick, and very holiday cute novellas!
Scrooged was a nice little surprise to dive into. First, the name got me.. and that was basically it. Didn't hurt that I love Vi Keeland either but ugh - anything with the holiday spirit will easily persuade me. Trust me, it wasn't very hard to pick this one.
Sexy Scrooge was easily adorable. Pretty sure I smiled through the entire thing. Then there's The Merry Mistake which made me laugh so much. The whole mistaking someone for homeless almost made me spit out my water. Plus it had some deep stuff being mentioned as well. Then there's Kissmass in New York, which was a mini rollercoaster ride. I felt anger towards the douche of an ex and my hearts basically popped out of my eyes when the two main characters got together.
Each story brought happiness and joy into my black soul. It also got me even more excited for the winter holidays (that are around the corner - basically, right?). Now I need to make some hot cocoa or something when I get home just to top it all off.
PS. I need another holiday book in my hands or on my phone. Any recommendations?

Sexy Scrooge.
Me parecio un lindo relato, no es que sea de los mas novedosos o que tenga algun giro inesperado, y sin embargo, resulta una muy bonita historia Navideña.
Creo que esta es mi segunda favorita de las tres novellas que forman este libro.

Mi preferida de las tres. Me hizo reir mucho los intecambios entre los protagonistas, ademas las escenas de el Señor H fueron muy especiales.
Personalmente creo que este relato daba para ser un poco mas largo, pero quizas de haberlo sido no hubiera sido tan fresco y unico.
Me encanto la personalidad de la protagonista femenina.

No le encontre esa chispa bonita como me sucedio con los anteriores, aun asi, fue entretenido de leer, solo que no tan memorable.

Las tres historias me gustaron bastante, y honestamente no imaginaba que iban a ser tan especiales, en un principio pense que serian muy olvidables pero la verdad es que no fue asi.
Las autoras me sorprendieron en esta ocasion, fueron mas tiernas y sutiles. Muy buena coleccion de relatos de navidad.

2,5 Estrellas. Tres relatos navideños de dos autoras cuyas historias escritas a cuatro manos suelen gustarme mucho. Ninguno es de lo mejor que han escrito, son mucho más lights de lo que me suelen tener acostumbrada (menos la bolsa de pollas de The Merry Mistake, jajaja), pero sí muy adecuados para esta fechas.

3,5 Questa è una raccolta di tre mini "cortometraggi" di coppie che si incontrano in strane circostanze nel periodo natalizio e che alla fine decidono di darsi una possibilità come coppia. Non ci sono approfondimenti o sesso ne epiloghi solo piccoli scorci. È ovvio che nessuno delle coppie riesca a colpirti più di tanto, tutte avrebbero meritato lo sviluppo di una storia. Ma rispetto ad altri mini racconti che ho letto questi sono stati piacevoli.

Adorable Christmas stories. In the first story we have a young woman who shares an uber with a handsome but grumpy man. Only to meet him later in an unusual circumstance. In the second story we have another young woman who has decided to do good deeds in the name of people on her Christmas list instead of buying a gift for them. (I think that's a brilliant idea) Then she mistakes a handsome man resting on the street for a homeless man. Her good deed backfires, in the romantic way. In the last story we have a woman out with her friends who agrees to kiss a guy on a dare. Romance ensues.

This anthology was better than other full-length audiobook Christmas book, The Christmas pact, by the duo. 3.5 stars
Things I liked:
🧡 The first two stories are super cute! I liked the cute concepts, especially, of the first one!
🧡 The writing is nice as always: They both are regular writers for me, so I wasn't at all dissapointed!
Things I wasn't impressed with:
⚫ Only the Male Leads help the Female leads in all three stories: And though, I have no problem in seeing a caring ML and it wasn't a help-help but they did stuff for Female lead in the three stories. Different situations would've been better.
⚫ Didn't like the third one: Didn't like the third one, "The marrying mistake" I wouldn't have picked that one up if it only had been that story.

🎄Lo que valoro de estos cuentos cortos son dos cosas: tienen finales felices y espíritu navideño.
Así que en general son historias con un romance ligero, entretenidas, divertidas y dulces para pasar un momento y nada más. No tienen mucho más.
Sexy Scrooged, la del Uber es la que más me gustó y la última la que menos me gustó.🎄

After listening to The Christmas Pact I decided to grad this other holiday collection by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. I'm so glad I did since it has three super cute short stories in it to help get you into the holiday romance mood and was way better than any of the cheesy Hallmark Christmas shows I jot sucked into this season.
There are 3 short stories in this and all are cute in a different way.
Sexy Scrooge - You might just find the man of your dreams when you share an uber and accidently grab his junk. I liked getting into the spirit of the holidays with a meet-cute and the beginning of what looks like a great new relationship.
The Merry Mistake - Sometimes something happens in your life and it changes your entire perspective of what is important. That is what happened to our heroine in this story. She has completely changed what is important to her and is trying to do more good in the world, she just might need her eyes checked so she doesn't mistake a hot guy new love interest for a homeless man.
This is a cute tale with a great happy ending and a sweet message.
Kissmas in New York - This was so cute! I loved the dare, the drink and the KISS. Sometimes friends get you into the best trouble.

Cute and quick Christmas anthology by the dynamic duo of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. This audio anthology is comprised of three different short and cute Christmas stories. I liked all three, the first and the third were kinda similar. As with most short stories they’re just too short to really get into them but this was super cute nonetheless, plus it was free on Audible.

In genere non amo particolarmente le novelle e in questo caso le ho anche dovute leggere con molta lentezza per mancanza di tempo, però non mi sono dispiaciute. Ho apprezzato, anzi, che si trattasse più che altro di incipit invece che di storie complete raccontate in poche pagine. Il primo racconto è stato il mio preferito ☺️

3 cute Christmas novellas
Book 1 &3 were my favorite but 2 was good too. Maybe because book 1 & 3 have lawyers, but I found them very relatable.
If you love this writing duo then the novellas are very much in their writing style.

Vi piacciono le novelle natalizie?
Non credo mi stuferò mai di dirlo ma di Vi Keeland e Penelope Ward leggerei qualsiasi cosa senza mai annoiarmi. Parlando de Il mio romantico Natale, devo ammettere che le autrici sono state talmente brave che per ogni novella avrei preferito leggere qualcosa di più lungo, più approfondito, ma la loro bravura mi ha comunque tenuta un’oretta incollata alle pagine, passando dalla storia di Adam e Meredith, a quella di Piper e Mason e infine a quella Margo e Chat con una facilità impressionante. Tenendo sempre la mia attenzione alta ma ancora di più riuscendo a tenere alta la mia curiosità. Ognuna di queste novelle è molto carina, dolce e simpatica – in linea proprio con le autrici – inutile dire che ho adorato queste storie diverse ma interessanti allo stesso modo.
Non credo mi stuferò mai di dirlo ma di Vi Keeland e Penelope Ward leggerei qualsiasi cosa senza mai annoiarmi. Parlando de Il mio romantico Natale, devo ammettere che le autrici sono state talmente brave che per ogni novella avrei preferito leggere qualcosa di più lungo, più approfondito, ma la loro bravura mi ha comunque tenuta un’oretta incollata alle pagine, passando dalla storia di Adam e Meredith, a quella di Piper e Mason e infine a quella Margo e Chat con una facilità impressionante. Tenendo sempre la mia attenzione alta ma ancora di più riuscendo a tenere alta la mia curiosità. Ognuna di queste novelle è molto carina, dolce e simpatica – in linea proprio con le autrici – inutile dire che ho adorato queste storie diverse ma interessanti allo stesso modo.

Very easy read, also entertaining and well thought. This book consists of 3 Christmas themed short stories that are sweet and all feature meet cute's with a hot and successful MMC.
Cons:
Due to the short nature of the stories, there's not much in-depth character development. However, I still really enjoyed the plots in Scrooged.

Sexy Scrooge: 5/5 Stars
Sexy Scrooge was absolutely adorable and lots of fun! I couldn't stop smiling and it was a cute story about finding luck and having a little faith. I easily could have read more! But as super quick Christmas stories go, this is one of the best!
The Merry Mistake: 4/5 Stars
The Merry Mistake was a cute story about mistakes and good deeds! This one had a heartwarming aspect with an ailing father. And I loved how even though there was a little hate going on between the couple, there was no denying that they definitely wanted each other! While Piper was a little obnoxious and assumes in the beginning and Mason could be kind of a jerk, we got to see exactly who they were and it made so much sense. I ended up really liking the both of them and hoping for them to end up together!
Kissmass in New York: 3/5 Stars
Kissmass in New York was the possibilities of taking risks and changing your life. While this was my least favorite of the three stories, it still had a lot of heart. I just wasn't as okay with everything ending with a HFN since so much was still left up in the air.
If you're looking for something that's quick and will give you some romance cheer around the holidays, then definitely give these quick little stories a try! They all end in happily for nows and I'm glad I picked up this book!
