David is a newly retired man who has a deep, and long-hidden secret. He is an adult baby and is trapped in the secrecy that surrounds it and has over the previous decades. Lynn is his devoted wife who has no real idea of his inner feelings and desires. In retrospect, there may have been some clues, but she missed them. Retirement brings its own challenges and stresses and one day, Lynn picks up the hint that 'babying' might be something that her husband desires and surprisingly, it triggers a positive response in her as well. Over the ensuing weeks and months, they work together, discovering the exquisite nature of their own desires and needs in an attempt to... Embrace Infancy.
I thought this was well written. Pretty well edited, but there were some missing words, and the wrong name , Karina for Stephanie. I liked the book because Lynn begins the process of infantilizing her Husband, David. He's agreeable, because he's had the fantasy since he was a teenager. Lynn is going to take hubby to places he never thought he'd go, and doesn't want the fantasy to become as much of a reality as Lynn does. But Lynn's not looking back. I liked the way she manipulates him, using his fantasy to trap him and make him her full time baby. She has plans for David. Plans that were only hinted at. The only part I didn't care for was the long explanation of how David's fantasy had grown. I would like to see a PART 2. How Lynn's domination took complete control of her husband and his total regression into being an adult baby.
