I thought this would be good but honestly the characters were too bland and the plot what was of it was even more bland. Shame as I quite liked author’s first book.

Dnf @67%. This book went really boring after 52%, but I still held on to hope. Then my hope left me at 67%. Really couldn't help it, this just wasn't for me.

Before 52%, this book had a 'childhood lovers turned enemies' trope (and bully subplot) with a really strong sexual tension in the air. Both main characters (whose name I actually can't fucking remember now) were in the kill you or fuck you zone.

Plus, I am a sucker for " you are gonna feel so guilty for all the things you did when you get to know the truth" storylines. It's a guilty pleasure cuz....who can resist groveling right?! Well, turns out that the MMC was a dumb idiot and the big "betrayal" was just a case of awfully idiotic miscommunication. After knowing the truth, the Fmc forgave him in less than the time it takes to snap a few fingers (despite the bullying she suffered 😒) and the MMC became this pathetic "I will lie in your feet forever now" mess.

And all this was till 52% after which there was this bizarre turn in the storyline about sex trafficking?!🤷
It was a really bad experience for me, all in all.

I'd been wondering if we'd ever get more Blaire Wynters books after reading their debut, Vicious Savage, and now finally six months later, we get a second novel from this sister duo author. Wicked Hate is an enemies-to-lovers, second chance story full of angst, drama, suspense and enough steam to ignite your kindle.
In this story we meet Gemma and Jaxon. These two were once friends until an event caused Gemma and her family to move away. Now, a few years later, Gemma is back attending the same college as Jax and Jax is intent on making her life a misery for her betrayal. But did Gemma really betray him? And what caused Gemma and her family to move?
This was another great story by Blaire Wynters. So much drama, angst and plot twists you won't see coming. I'm hoping that this author duo will continue to write and release all the titles they previously had on their agenda. Thank you ladies for this great story and looking forward to more!

Good but predictable.

Good book, but very predictable and somewhat immature. I did like the heroine and the secondary characters. However, this won’t be going into my favorites pile.
