Tripping

Rate this book
Tripping: When a player trips an opposing player with their stick, or uses their skate against the other player's skate, causing them to lose balance or fall and obstruct them from making their desired play.

I’m Cameron McGregor, center for the Austin Amurs. Tripping is my penalty. I don’t set out to do it, but it still lands me two minutes in the box every time.

Hockey is my life blood. I eat, sleep, and bleed hockey. Being chosen to play for the Amurs was a dream come true. Money, hockey, and women. I didn’t need anything else.

Until Bleu.

She hated hockey players, but I didn’t care—come hell or high water, I was going to change her mind.

I had her convinced to let me in before I messed up. It looked bad; I can’t lie. Then, instead of fixing it, I made it worse. Now I have to find a way to get her back.

I’m not going to walk away from what I love. I want it all. Because it turns out I need her as much as hockey—she tripped me good.

Bleu has been burned before. Hot hockey guy in college broke her heart and trampled her self-esteem. NOT going there again. At least that’s what she says until she falls for Cameron MacGregor. Well, not fall for… more like fall *on*… literally. While leaning over a railing while taking a picture for her friend at a hockey game.

Cameron Mcgeror has always wanted to play hockey in Austin since he was six years old. Now he's living his dream and couldn’t ask for more. Dream job. Fast car. Easy women. Just the way he likes it. That is, until he meets this fiery redhead, Bleu who turns his world upside down. Obviously gun shy, she rejects him at every turn, but he’s just not going to take no for an answer. He feels something there and really wants to see where it can take them.

Kristine wrote just a wonderfully sweet story with Tripping! Definitely a case of opposites attract, but Cameron is big on grand gestures, kick ass dates, and being there for Bleu ❤️. This book was super sweet everywhere except in the bedroom … where it really was 🔥🔥🔥. You even get a surprise appearance by one of our favorite RBMC guys (I won’t spoil it)😀. With such a great story and wonderful characters, you definitely won’t be disappointed!

So amazingly good!! Kristine Allen is book by book turning me into a hockey fan! I loved Tripping. Cameron was such a great character. He was so sweet and caring. He is definitely the kind of guy you wish you could have. I loved his determination in everything he put his mind to. Overall I liked Bleu (I love her name) but she did irk me a few times and made me want to smack her! She was a good fit for Cameron though and they went well together. I loved how they met, I thought that was really cute. The banter between them was fantastic and had me smiling.
I was so happy to get a little bit of Voodoo in the story too.
Very entertaining story and written beautifully. I'm hoping Kris is coming next because I'm quite interested in what's going on with him!
If you love Hockey you will love this book, if you're not really into hockey you will still love this book! I absolutely recommend it!

I will admit I have seen the error of my ways. I'm not a big fan of hockey. I know, I know, it's just a complete and utter sin. BUT, I love Cameron and I love Bleu! She's such a feisty thing and he's the very definition of a bad boy who's decided maybe, just maybe, it's time for a change. They are a very unlikely couple, he loves hockey, she hates hockey and they have their work cut out for them. Tripping got me all caught up in the lives of these characters, and all of their ups and downs, became my ups and downs.  This is a really great read and as with anything written by this author, it's completely perfect.

An amazing addition to this series. It's such a fantastic read that had me captivated from the beginning. Cameron and Bleu are two completely different people that are opposites of one another. Their story has some up and downs along with some humor. It weaves this fantastic storyline that unfolds this intriguing, beautiful relationship between two people. I loved the cameo appearances of other characters from the other series and the connections between everyone. This is a must read that you don't want to miss. I highly recommend it, it doesn't disappoint.

Wow, wow, wow! I am by no means a sports fan, of any sports. We do have a Minor Hockey team here and after reading first Hooking and now Tripping I just might become a convert. These two books were both great books and the characters are fantastic.

Tripping reeled me in from page one and didn't let go. Cameron and Bleu had problems from the very beginning but they had seemed to work everything out until they both let their tempers run wild. This being said it really affected his game.

I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to readers over the age of 18. Pick up both books today and start reading. Kristine Allen is a superb writer.

This was really good!! I’m not a huge sports fan by any means but the storyline was so much more than just hockey. I loved Cameron and his determination when it came to Bleu. She was so apprehensive to date another hockey player after being hurt so badly years ago. My heart broke when the miscommunication between Cam and Bleu almost got the better of them. And I loved that we got to see a little bit of Ogun and Kira!! Now I’m wondering if we’ll get Kris’ story... or Crimson and Dmitry’s story because they both need one.

I'm so back and forth with how to rate this book. I feel like it's the exact setup as book 1 with the hockey player chasing the girl who won't go out with him. At least this story sticks with one trope unlike book 1.

Bleu literally falls into Cam's arms for the meetcute. And it is kinda cute. But she's not a hockey lover for reasons we find out later. Well...we sorta find out because she never divulges the entire truth to him! "No way would I tell him the entire truth. Hell, I hadn’t wanted to tell him any of it." That little tidbit came out in the LAST CHAPTER! Nope. No way. And we as readers find out about Cam's past with his lost girlfriend earlier in the story but he never tells Bleu! Umm, say what? That's just flippin' bogus. You don't start a relationship with hidden secrets of that magnitude! That pissed me right off. But I still loved THEM together. I love how the author wrote them. They had great chemistry but their secrets were always on my mind.

There were a few random sentences/scenes that didn't make sense to me and made me wonder again if these hockey stories are an MC series spinoff. "Her new husband, Maddox, was scarily sexy and extremely protective of her. Then again, I imagined watching the woman you love get shot can mess with a guy’s head. I didn’t blame him for being protective." (This is Bleu talking about her coworker, Gwen.) Ummm, what is happening and who got shot by who and where's the rest of this story??

And we can't skip the angsty mistaken OWx2 drama that happens. Those scenes have been used before, almost exact. I knew how that was going to play out with the first girl being a fan and the second woman being a relative because I've read that before. Not original in the least.

We lose track of Bleu's very best friend, Sergio like 3/4 of the way through the book with no mention of him again. That's a gaping hole that bothered me because I loved him! He was hysterical and added so much to the story!

As mentioned before the last chapter has the partial spilling of the Bleu's truth/secret. Except you don't know it's the last chapter until you get to the epilogue on the next page! 😳 Did I miss something because it felt like I missed a bunch. Not that I wasn't ready for it to be over but daaaang, it was like the author hit her word count and bam, done. That epilogue was super cute though!

Overall...I DID like the characters and their families/team. I did like the story even though it was familiar, predictable, had some gaping holes, and was super rushed at the end. I liked this story more than book 1 but didn't absolutely love it because of things mentioned above. And I reading the next one? Yes, because I need to know Kris's massive secret! He's been weird this entire story!

Tripping is the second book by Kristine Allen in the Iced Series. Cameron McGregor is living his dream as a professional hockey player in the NHL playing for the Austin Amurs. He eats, sleeps, and bleeds hockey. It’s all he has ever wanted to do. The women are plentiful too, which is a bonus since he never plans to settle down! That is until Bleu Reynolds falls into his life, literally. Something about Bleu is different from all the other women Cameron encounters and he finds himself inextricably drawn to her. Unfortunately for Cameron, Bleu hates ice hockey and hockey players, and from their first meeting she has no qualms about letting Cameron know her feelings.
This story is about how Cameron and Bleu overcome traumas from their pasts to form a lasting relationship neither one anticipated. I liked how Cameron had to work at building a relationship based on friendship, and despite her fears Bleu takes a chance on love with the hopes of a happily ever after. But like any couple venturing into a new relationship Cameron and Bleu hit a few rough patches along the way.

Overall, the story is well written. I like the way Ms. Allen places her characters in situations that the average reader may experience in real life and her ability to make you feel their emotions. It is also evident she takes the time to research her subject matter too. The hockey scenes in this book, as well as the first book in the series (Hooking), are so realistic you would think you were at an actual Amurs hockey game! I also enjoy the cameo appearances of characters we have met in Ms. Allen’s other books. The banter between the men and women in this book and others is always fresh and witty and expresses the comradery they share.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the next installment in the Iced series by Ms. Allen.

Chasing love

A story of love. First his future literally falls on him. Then she hates Hockey and all Jocks which is his first love hockey and he is a star of NHL. But he convinces her to be friends slowly wearing her down to a date where she eventually agrees they are girlfriend boyfriend after he finally gets it right with her little brother advice. But on a drunken night she over reacted and broke up and then lost her phone, some fan took pictures of him and her and posted them causing more mistakes in their relationship which her sister helps sort out. There is one section were the story has a timeline issue, the whole mistake about them breaking up and the fan posting pictures is supposed to be over Valentine's weekend, but then the next chapter supposedly a week later is also Valentine's weekend.... That confused the timeline. I got the impression the book was written and reworked and the timeline doesn't quite flow, but then at the end it seems to cover too much time.it skips him proposing, them getting married, and 2 years. I understand why its because there are one or two other people stories that intermingled and so to allow them to stay separate they just skip to a later part. I think it would have been better to include the proposal and marriage Before skipping ahead. It started off a bit humorous and I kinda wish that humorous edge had carried through the story. Its a good story I did enjoy it alot.

Tripping is everything we expect and have come to love from Kristine Allen. Sweet characters that make you fall in love with them, enough bumps in the road to leave you hoping it works out, and plenty of FIRE in the bedroom.
Never having read or watched hockey, I was unsure if I would understand everything that would be written, but Kristine created a series that allows you to enjoy a sport you may be new to, and let’s just say these hockey guys are DREAMY.
I enjoyed seeing the dynamic between Cameron and Bleu. Bleu’s prior experience made her reluctant to date another jock. Cameron was unused to being enraptured by a single woman and fights with himself whether he could limit himself to one woman, Well, we all know how that goes with these guys. They play hard and fall harder.
The Iced series is full of sweet characters, lots of laughs, plenty of trials, and amazing chemistry where it’s needed most. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the 2nd book in this series and can’t wait for more. Kristine Allen, you may turn me into a hockey fan. Let’s just hope the real world is as amazing as your fictional one.

Loved the second book in this series! First, I would recommend reading Hooking, which is the first book in the series. You can read as a standalone, but there's a lot of characters and story that was introduced in that book.

Cam is a star hockey player for the Austin Amurs, and swears he won't settle down with anyone anytime soon. Bleu is a sweet middle school music teacher, who literally falls into Cams arms after a game. There is almost an instant connection for both, but Bleu holds Cam off because of her past with hockey players. Cam persists though, and they start to fall in for each other. I loved reading their story, how Cam knew what he wanted but let Bleu take the lead. Yes there's a misunderstanding, and a little bit of angst along the way, but tons of heart and steam too.

All the characters were great in this book. I loved meeting more of the hockey team, and can't wait for Kris' book (also Dmitry and Crimson!). Plus, for fans of the author's RBMC books, we get a visit from Voodoo. Swoon. Read this book today, you won't be disappointed!

Tripping is Kristine's second outing of the Austin Amurs hockey team, and it's the turn of Cameron MacGregor the center and alternate captain of the team and a player on and off the ice!
He literally bumps into Bleu after a game, and a convenient date to his best friend Alex's wedding sees Cameron and Bleu spending time with each other, despite her hate for hockey players and hockey as a whole.
The more time Cameron spends with Bleu, the more he knows he wants her in his life and for her to be his...but of course Cameron being Cameron,he messes up massively and has to work his backside off to get his girl back.
We get to catch up with Alex and Sydney throughout, which is always a pleasure...and of course we get to have a surprise addition!
Another awesome addition to the series, and I can't wait to see what's next!
Loved every minute!

You guys....if you like sports, romance, great chemistry, HEA and an epilogue then this book is for you!! In the second book of Kristine Allen’s Iced series we get to see Cameron’s story.
❤️
Cameron is the star hockey player who lives up to his playboy reputation. He never expected an angel to literally fall into his arms.
🏒
Bleu is a middle school music teacher with past traumas that have led to her strong dislike of hockey and hockey players. After literally falling into the arms of one, Cameron McGregor, she tries to friend-zone him.
🎼
I can’t say enough about this book. As soon as it released, I jumped on it as soon as I could and stayed up way past my bedtime reading it....so worth it!!!

Cameron and Bleu's story

Cameron is the playboy like most on the team. Until a fan falls from the stands and he catches her. Only she hate hockey and is there for her best friend.
This book had me grinding my teeth at Bleu, she is that character that doesn't know what she wants talks herself out of something and than gets pissed because what she really wanted didn't happen. Because by her own doing she put a stop to it.
So if you are ready to follow the patient man who tries everything to win the girl and you can handle the girl that don't know what's good for her even when it slaps her in the face than hold on for this story.
Story picks up exactly where Alex's last chapter ends.

I loved this book as I have many of Kristine Allen’s books. I also love Her characters. Cameron is a man who realized his dreams and along the way found his HEA.
Bleu is a woman who’s been down this road before and really doesn’t see anything good going down that way again. She’s got friends and a job she loves so what more does she need.
While taking pictures for her friend, after being dragged to the game, she falls into the last thing she needs. A relationship with a player.
These two are so good together. Loved their spark.
This is a great book for anyone over 18. Highly recommend it.
Can’t wait for the next one. Who’s next?

You definitely do not need to be a hockey fan to fall in love with this story. Bleu had a bad experience in the past with a hockey player and holds those experiences and grudges against all hockey players. Cameron lives his life for hockey and all the chicks he can get because of it, until he meets Bleu. They start off as friends, but than they each start to realize they want more. Will Bleu let down her walls for Cameron? Will Cameron be willing be settle for one girl? Relationships are hard but, if you truly want someone you need to work for it and you need to let down the walls you have built around your heart and take a chance. I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed!

I am not a hockey fan, but I LOVE this series! The first book in this series pulled me in, and I loved this book just as much.

Cameron is a cocky, phenomenal star player. After losing his girlfriend to a tragic accident, he vowed to stay away from relationships and everything they entail. Until Bleu literally falls into his arms.

Bleu cannot stand hockey or the players after getting hurt in college. If she had her way, she would stay far away from the game and players. But her best friend begs her to go to a game, and suddenly everything changes.

The chemistry is so amazing between these two characters! I loved every second and could not put the book down. Highly recommend this series!

This was another awesome hockey story by Kristine Allen. I absolutely loved it!! If you love sport romances than I highly suggest reading this series.

Cameron is a playboy, but that all changes when a sexy redhead literally falls into his arms. Bleu hates everything to do with hockey, until she lands in the arms of a certain sexy hockey player. Can Cameron convince Bleu that not everything to do with hockey is bad?

I loved the crossovers in this story and I can’t wait for the next one in the series. I’m hoping for Kris or Dmitry’s stories.

Loved it

Bleu is a middle school music teacher, who can't stand hockey players. Cameron is a playboy hockey player, he plays center but is alos the alternative captain for the Austin Amurs. They meet when Bleu goes to a game unwillingly, she pretty much falls into Cameron's site. Can Cameron get Bleu past her hate for jocks? What will happen when the puck drops and things go sideways? Will there be a HEA?

This second book in the Iced series was fantastic! Bleu and Cameron were quite a pair! I loved the humor and the great scenes between these two, they were just so well written, as all of Kristine's books are. I think I may even be getting into hockey! I love sports, but hockey has never been my fave....these books may change this! These hockey guys are super hot! LOL Anyway, you can never go wrong with anything written my Kristine Allen, she is pure gold!

Kristine Allen always manages to balance the adrenaline rush of ice hockey, hot players, comedy, and a scorching romance all in one book. I read this book in one sitting and I was so sad when I was done. Cameron is just the biggest sweetheart once he realizes he wants more from Bleu. It’s always fun to watch a playboy fall hard for a woman that doesn’t want anything to do with his “type.” I can’t wait for the next in the series!

🤍🤍Tripping: Cameron And Blue🤍🤍

Love love this series🥰these two are also my favorite couple. They start off in a weird place, Cameron being intrigued and Blue from past experience. But Cameron is one guy that don't give up easily, she fell for him and he wasn't too far behind himself, thank you for this story now I'm really anxious to find out who's next, but I will say this though: I want Dmitry and Crimson, I think their story will be a doozy🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

The characters are very well written and have amazing chemistry throughout this book. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Kristine Allen has done it again with an amazing story. Cameron and Bleu's story was hard to put down. I loved how they actually felt like a real couple and not some fufu, all smiles, the other can do no wrong. Kristine, with all her characters, makes them seem real, and I love that. I really hope she continues with this series.

Cameron and Bleu’s love story is raw and real. There’s nothing worse than a woman scorned. She’ll put up barriers and she’ll constantly doubt your intentions. Cameron is the ultimate player. His skills on and off the ice are legendary. An unexpected angel crashes into his life bringing the playboy to his knees. I loved the witty banter and the sweet, awkward, and romantic moments. I also enjoyed the character crossover. I highly recommend diving into this entertaining series.

So good!

I love Hockey Romance and Kristine Allen is so good at writing it. Bleau and Cameron meet in a very different way, and it's wonderful. Here is a girl that is not a fan of hockey player's and Cameron can't get her out of his mind. The two find their way to each other and it is hot, passionate and sweet.

Happily Surprised

I really loved this. This is a new to me author. I started with book 2 in this series because the premise seemed so great and I can safely say I wasn’t lost at all. I didn’t feel I was missing out on important info but I will go back and read from the beginning because I was seriously loving all of these side characters and can’t wait for more.
