This is the final encore of Thick as Thieves. The final good-bye is given through the eyes of Shame, Cal and Noah as all their worlds have changed for the better, the special, and the unexpected.
What the fuck was that? The character Tayla was possessed by the devil and had personality transplant just for the reader to accept Jen. Did not like it. It did not match with the evolution of the story from the beginning. It was strange. I did not like Jen, she had sex with all the band members and a few other bands. She was negligent with the baby. Now does the author want us to like her? It did not work for me.
This is a beautiful series and I loved all the books until I got to this one. This book was awful and so not true to Tayla's character. She never would have cheated on Cal and then dumped his son. It would not have happened. They could have grown apart but they never should have ended this way.
I love that we have gotten a look at what is now happening in our friends lives. Sad in one case but happy at the end, I’m glad it seems things will work out. This author, in spite of a sh*t understanding of English grammar, knows how to write so that we feel what the characters feel. Well done.
Words... So I stumbled onto the TAT series looking for something to fill in a few days over holiday downtime. Yep, I read them all. This is more about the series than the final Encore.
I don't recall a book or series that has ever trashed me like these did! Everyone gets a HEA except Candey (of course) and Tay who chose her own path. Since that little surprise came from out of the blue, it would be interesting to have a standalone about Tay, surely her story is filled with the same kind of gut wrenching truths Melanie so perfectly weaved for the other characters in TAT. I'm done crying now but honestly, the lump is still in my throat. Melanie Walker leads the readers of TAT through soul crushing despair only to reinforce that the human spirit can and will survive and thrive so long as it can see a flicker of light. For the TAT characters, that light flickered into existence from a shared passion for music. The group started with unconditional acceptance which evolved into love and commitment through the process of growing up. Trust (no matter what) is a recurring theme of this series yet few actually achieved it, except maybe Carrie. This series will seriously make you cry (you are a heartless biatch if you don't) and laugh out loud. These characters will disappoint you, infuriate you and then you will find yourself forgiving them and wishing you could join them for Thanksgiving dinner. Well done Melanie, TAT will forever be in my library! Looking forward to the PIT series!
After all of the heavy content in this series, I wanted an extra look at the TAT group...more of their happy after seeing all of the sad. I was able to get that for the most part, but one particular shake up was very unexpected. To be honest, it irritated me and made me wish I hadn't even read this series epilogue. Things this big should be put in a full length book, not thrown out there leaving me with more questions. It's like the author shoved the characters in a snow globe, shook it up, and only let us see a brief moment of falling. Major bummer.
I read this Novella through Kindle Unlimited. This is the final book of the Tat Series and it is the lead of the PIT series where Jenny Pope will get her story. This book picks up on the same day as book 5 Noah's story ends and really should have been the ending of that book rather than a 62 page novella.
Cals world is ripped apart, Cassa and Shame get their baby, Chad and Carrie are good along with Noah and Bright. Hopefully Jenny's story will redeem her enough so this novella makes sense because Cal really didn't get his HEA.
This series was so emotional! I cried I laughed I was appalled it just was a rollercoaster ride that I didn't want to get off! I was enthralled! I couldn't get enough! I can't wait to read the pit series! I feel like I know all these characters so we'll I'm not ready for it to be over!! Gripping!
I wasn’t it expecting this storyline but loved it!
I am amazed at how Melanie Walker can create a story! This series needs to be a TV show, it is that good! I have read over 3,000 books on my Kindle and Melanie Walker is one of my top 5 authors...seriously! Please read this series and all her other books. You will not be disappointed!
Waw I wasn't expecting that from T It did make me happy to find Jenny being excepted as one of the family certainly did some wrong things but times healed allot of them wounds and her willingness to prove herself
It was hard reading about Tay with Cal but I can totally see him and Jenny rocking a relatively ... poor Axe though Tay needs her butt whooped for that crap!!!
It was a great read. I didn't see the twist coming and even if I didn't care for where it went it was still a good story. It was worth the read. Rated very good
Holy freaking shit what an ending to the TAT series. This is for sure one that I never saw coming but im so freaking happy about too. First this is the closure for our TAT boys and POV from all except Chad but just as good. Noah finally has his happy, Shame finally gave Cassa what she always thought was impossible and Cal... well a fucked up betrayal but in the end like I said never saw it coming but happy it did. I never liked Tayla for this group and just thought she was not the "one" for Cal but I gave it a try and now Im so happy for what happened. Desperate for the PIT series to begin with Jenny's book and see where it goes from there because I really want happy for Cal too. Sad it was to end this whole TAT series but I love those boys till the end and so happy they all got their happiness like they all deserve.
This is the end! And I'm so sad, yet excited to dive right into the pit series. I so cant wait to read more about Jenny!I admit I hated her at first I didn't like her at all, but after finding more about her my heart goes out to her as well. I'm so happy that Carrie and Chad are going on strong, Noah has Bright, Cassa and Sham have a baby😍 it seems like everyone us getting their HEA while Cal is in limbo 😞 my heart aches for him hes such a good guy, but freaking Tayla! Urgh that girl infuriates me!
I didn't care for Tayla in Release Me and I'm not surprised at the major bitch she turned out to be in this book. Although I didn't see her betrayal coming it is definitely her style. She was so busy in Never Me spouting off what the company wanted that she forgot who her friends were. Was happy to see Cassa and Shame get their baby girl.
So I picked up book 5 and read it and then had to start from book one. When I got to this book I had just finished Cal's story so I was a little shocked at the beginning. I will say Melanie has a way with characters that all other flaws in the book can be overlooked. Can't wait for Jenny's story.
I don't really know how I feel about this book, part of it was great the other was a bit confusing and a bit sad. Regardless this was a good story, and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
What can I say......words fail me...I can say I loved this book!
I was unsure when I started this book but I knew one thing...Something was off about Tayla. I had no clue this was where it was going to end up but it makes sense now. I unlike others loved this book and YES I loved the 2nd chance that happens in this book they absolutely deserve it! I can not wait to read Jenny's story. This book made me cry and laugh and I'm sad it's the last TAT book but I am happy knowing we will still see them in the PIT series. The only thing this book lacked was there was so little Chad and Carrie.
