Lucien Gramble
I want out. Plain and simple. This life isn’t the same anymore, especially now that Angel is gone. However, leaving isn’t an option. Even if the Church would let me go, I’d still have my brother. Seth is a virus. One that I take partial credit for creating. I had resigned to my burden of watching over him… until I found her again.

Malia Parks
I’m done with relationships. I gave up on them the day my divorce was final. My new goals consist of taking care of my daughter, keeping my Grams off my back, and running my business. Then he appears, bringing along a ghost from my past. Lucien is everything a girl could ask for, but Seth is everything I didn’t know I needed.

Seth Gramble
I want it all. My brother thinks I don’t know what he’s trying to do. I know everything. I also know he isn’t man enough to do it. He wants a happy family, but he can’t protect them. Not like I can, especially now that she’s in danger. He needs me, and I need her. They say I can’t have her. I’ll prove them wrong.

I think I'd have enjoyed this book more if they were actually twins and this was a menage😂

The story actually goes along similar lines of the previous book. Albany is once again in the background orchestrating things as we wait for the situation to unfold. This time we have the Convo of Twin.....Seth the crazy, badass one who lacks empathy and loves to kill. And good ol Lucien who's the shy blushing nerd.
Our h is a divorcee who lives with her grandmother and her adopted daughter.

Lots of action in this one.....there were a variety of bad guys known and unknown. The biggest thing for me was the author tried so hard to keep us from guessing the secret of Twin that I had a headache by the end. Added into it is the situation with Albany that's been ongoing since book 1 that I'm really hoping ends soon because I'm tired tbh

One of the main things I love about this authors books is the relativity of her black characters. As a black woman I hate reading about black ppl because they never come across as "real" . Always fake ass ghetto ass wannabes in the few books I've tried. All of these hs are relatable and make the stories that much better.

Anyways Emory was the best part of this book
I liked Seth
Lordy just give me Many's book pretty pretty please
Intrigued by the female assasins

On to the next

No cheating
Slight OM drama

Twins

The wait for the second in "The Church" series was well worth the wait. I literally devoured this book in one day. This is my second book from this author and her writing and storytelling has me nail biting waiting for the next fix. This story follows Malia and the Twins Lucian and Seth. Without giving away the story I will start by saying things are not what they seem. I loved the character of Malia she might of had her hangs ups about relationships but that did not stop her for protecting her family. Grams was a breakout character for me and we all need a Grams like that she didn't play with her girls. I loved both twins although Seth took a moment for me but once I got to see his character I felt he deserves his happy ending. Does he get it? You will have to read for yourself.

I have to say I called those two surprises one I had been suspecting since book one. Can't wait for the next installment. Girl I'm full and thanks for serving such a great plate 😀.

I can’t wait for more

Tiya Rayne did one fine job with this book. I enjoyed this book just as much as I enjoyed Hawk.
This book was action packed, as well as filled with laughter and surprises. I loved Emory and Grams. The way they were bad*** and protect Malia fiercely was great.
As for Malia, I am happy that she accepted Luc and Seth for who they are.
The brotherhood between Hawk, The twins, many, zel and beast was so refreshing. (Thanks to Priest) It shows that in spite of what they are individually, together they’re stronger and have each other’s back.

This book was truly mind blowing and beautiful. If you haven’t read this as yet then you’re missing out on!

5.0⭐️ Get ready for an engrossing, thrilling and jaw-dropping story, in this second book of the Church series. The story follows the complicated lives of twins, Seth and Lucien Gramble. The author flawlessly connects the past with the present which add depth to this shrewdly absorbing tale. Further, secondary characters from the first book, as well as the addition of new dynamic secondary characters, have significant roles in this story that are not to be missed. If you enjoyed reading the first book, Hawk , this book is definitely a must read.

Enjoyable read

The book was fun and entertaining. The romance between Lucien and Malia didn’t quite click for me. The main reason is because I kept waiting for Seth to appear. This leads me to my main gripe with the book. I know Lucien is in control, however I was disappointed that Seth didn’t play a bigger role. The book was reducing him again to what his main issue is: only being used to fight. I would have been more convinced if Malia got to know both of them equally and fell in love with both as opposed to Seth being an afterthought. I would have also loved to know more about Gams and Emory’s stories. A conversation between Seth and Emory would have helped answer a lot. (Like the one they started about “they don’t like it when you speak”). As it is, finding out who Emory and Gams were so suddenly at the end without any clues along the way felt unrealistic.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next adventure.

The way I didn’t see that twist coming!!

I’m in love with this series. I’ve realized that normally I’m not into assassins or mafia type books. But I was drawn in to read the first book, Hawk and since then I can’t stop. This one was even better than the first. It kept my attention the entire time and the action and romance were on point. There were a few twists and turns and typically I’m pretty good at sussing them out early on, but there is one particular one that blindsided my a@&!! I was shook, mouth opened, yelling at my kindle and all. So bravo on that one Ms. Rayne! The story has pulled me under and now I need to see how it all continues to unfold. On to the next one!

Yeah this wasn’t it for me. The story Dragged! Nothing happened until the very end. The author just kept circling the bend until the end. The twist wasn’t a twist at all cause you figure it out early on & all the chemistry was between Seth & Lia not Luc & Lia. Luc & Lia were just flat I skipped all of their sex scenes cause they had zero chemistry & it just came off icky. The inclusion of the female squad at the end was just goofy. I’m sorry I was disappointed in this read especially compared to Hawk’s book. It was a let down. The best part is Priest’s Confessions at the very end & because of that I might read the next book in the series but that’s a big maybe.

I don’t give 5 stars out easily, but my Gawd!!!! This author did something special here. About 90% of the time, I can see what’s about to happen in books as I read them, but I was so damn blindsided by this one 🤦🏾‍♀️.

This is one that I’ll be thinking about for a few days. I just finished this book 3 minutes ago, so I may come back and write a better review after I’ve gotten my thoughts together.

For now, I just know that this one of the best reads I’ve had in a good while.

Lucien & Seth: Loved Twins: The Church Assembles

The Twins book held me in rapt attention. Lucien & Seth in all of their glorious sexiness, keen intelligence and unquestionable loyalty took me to "Church". The other characters were likable, lovable and fascinating in all of their diversity. Priest, Ari Many, had me wiping tears of delight with wisecracks and antics. 😁 Malia's feisty attitude and personality drew the Twins to her from day one as children. They were drawn to her, slaying her tormentor. They were destined to meet again with a little help from Angel. I loved Grams fierce protection of her family and her kick butt take downs. Wielding a gun, don't come for me and mine. Tiny Rambo woo wee that child...lawdy mercy! Read the book to see what I mean. 😊 This book has OMG, clutching your pearls and laughing out loud moments. Situations that keep you hanging over the edge and aha’s surprise after surprise. Hold your breath action that plummets you into the world of "The Church". This story keeps you there with its seamless plot. Scorching heat and a robust story...this is one you do not want to miss. The Twins was an enjoyable read....loved Lucien & Seth, The Church family, friends and associates. Grab your copy, favorite beverage, settle in and enjoy the ride.

When I picked this book up, I swore I was about to be drawn into an MMF extravaganza, lol. 😏 That's my jam! It wasn’t what I expected, but in a good way. I really appreciated the character development and the plot; they were engaging and well-crafted. However, I felt that the sex scenes didn’t resonate with me as much. Also, some areas of editing could have used more attention for a smoother reading experience.

The intimate scenes:

I can feel my essence start to flow more abundantly.

He sucks me off his fingers like Dorito cheese, closing his eyes as his body shudders.

His face is buried so far between my thighs, his eyebrows are tickling my asshole. His tongue slides into my tight channel so deep, I swear he swipes my ovaries.

When I stop and stand, her essence runs down my chin onto my chest.

What? Yeah, no. I checked all the way out of every sex scene. They didn't quite align with my preferences. 🫤😑

My rating for story and character development is 4 stars, sex scenes are 2 stars, and my overall rating is 3 stars.

Another thrill riding sexy action pack story

Another excellent story in this phenomenonal Church series! Twins had everything and more in this book. Tiyah is weaving an intricate story between these books I am so glad she included a few chapters of Priest at the end. All my favorite characters were in this one plus we met new ones as well. I can't wait to areas the next book in this series.

Absolutely 🔥!!

Tiya, Ms. Ma'am you wrote the hell outta this book! I thought Hawk was great but Twins went even further and I loved the twist to Lucien.

I adored the relationship between Malia & Lucien and thought he was just the sweetest, sexiest, smartest MMC 😍. Then add in how he cared for Emory, Malia's adopted daughter who also happens to be mute. Like come on they got a little family going on.

Also Seth, whew was a trip and him and Lucien cracked me up when they were together.

Adding a physical copy to my library for sure!

Such a good series! I’ve not read anything like it so if you have recommend it to me. I dropped half a star because I guessed the twins superpower early in the book so was no surprise unlike in Hawk but wow was it intriguing. I stayed up all night reading it - sleep is for wimps! I kept wanting Malia to get with both brothers as they both had great qualities. Seth is your alpha very bad bad boy in an almost twisted way whereas Lucien is more together, rational and a computer expert. They’re like night and day or naughty and nice! Going straight onto book 3! 4.5********

OMG... I did not see that coming!

Lucien and Seth, twins. WOW, I just don't know what to say about this story. The ending took me by surprise. I figured out some of it but WOW is all I can say. Tiya Rayne did a THANG with this story. The Church is something else. I don't know whether to say if it's a good organization doing bad things for good or just an organization run by corrupt people under the cover of doing good things. Lucien was an abused and bullied orphan growing up. He only survived because his twin Seth came to his defense to do the things that he could not. But they both loved the same woman, Malia whom they met as school kids. Their reuniting with her has brought out stories of both of their past that neither was expecting to find out about the other and that's including Malia's family too, Grams and Emory included. Everybody was hiding secrets. Malia being back in Lucien's life gives him the incentive to put better control of his twin. He just can not see life without Malia in it.

Malia's failed marriage has caused her to swear off men with no relationships again. She is focused on her adopted daughter, Grams, and her bookstore until Lucien comes back into her life and makes her see that she can love again. Just when she admits to herself that she loves Lucien, all hell breaks out from a past life that she did not know exist. Once this is reconciled, the family is stronger than ever with Lucien and Seth included.

FAVORITE QUOTE: “Love and finding your forever is about realizing and accepting the other person’s shit. One simple question, can you live with their flaws, that’s it? That’s the secret to forever. It’s not about finding the perfect love. It’s about finding an imperfect person and making love perfect.”

Good but not like Hawk

Ok.. I liked Seth.. There I said it. I liked Seth. I thought he was the more interesting twin and I loved his directness. I also loved how he instantly bonded with Emory. Emory was my second favorite character. With her saying but doing, I could tell she was one to be dealt with. Gram ran a close second. Gram is the grandmother I want to grow old to become. No filters. Say what you feel and mean what you say. I wasn't sure how I felt about Malia. She was so naive and wish washy to me. Codependent even. I wanted her to have amenisa and get a bump on the head to be an assissan. But she was just a bookstore owner. I loved the way she loved Emory. All foster to adopt parents need to be that way in the real world.
The story started a little slow for me. It took me a few chapters to become fully vested in the characters and the story line. When Seth emerged as an adult, I was hooked.
The series is turning out to be a great one. I am not a fan of series but periodically one will catch my attention and I will continue to read. Even though, I think Hawk spoiled it for every other books of this series. I'm probably going to continue to read them. BECAUSE.. I'm intrigued by the other brothers. However, I figured out Lucien's and Seth's secret early in this book. It didn't prevent me from reading. I needed to confirm my suspusion.
I can't say that I was happy with the ending. I loved that Seth made sure he experienced everything the same as Lucien. He deserved happiness just like everyone else.
I recommend you read this book as well as the first installment. You won't be disappointed. There are twists, turns, great sex and suspense. The author is great at what she does. I can't want to ready about Brother Many.
Happy reading!

Omgggg!!! Where has this series been all my life?!?!!!!!

I'm not going to lie, Liz (the female protagonist) in this one was not my favorite. I prefer Brooklyn with her no nonsense attitude and the fact she throws hands for fun. Malia, is more of a lover and that's fine and dandy but you can love all while being a fucking bad ass. Tiya, has once again out done herself with this one. I won't lie I did guess some things throughout the book that came to fruition but the plot twists and turns and the suspense....my eyebrows reached my hairline and if I had a wig on, it would have flipped. I cannot WAIT for the next installment. Also, if you are as obsessed with Priest as I am, you are going go be absolutely elated. He is the gift that just keeps giving with his hilarious self

I was Blessed At Church tonight...ty Deaconess Rayne

Twins: The Church Series B2...was an amazing read. From start to finish you will be clutching your invisible pearls...Lucien and Seth [Twins) and polar opposites but they are both good people. I really liked the character of Malia (she their love interest). And just when I thought I could get any better their brothers showed up. Love you Many...sorry for my outburst.
I in opinion I honest think this as better than the first book...the story was more detailed and it had a nice flow as you read it. I believe that the next book will be better than this book...Tiya Rayne special ability is growing and gettin better will book

Malia and the Twins

Lucien and Seth wow one is a nerd and the other is a natural born killer.. Lucien is a master at the computer he can manipulate anything anywhere.. Seth is psychotic at times but it’s controlled they met a little girl named Malia being bullied and neither one of the twins like bullies..They liked her immediately
and she like him because he came to her defense and he had beautiful eyes..There identical twins you can tell them apart on how they dress and act.. But there keeping a secret you have to read the book in order to figure it out.. This is a well written book in a series..

This second book in the series does a good job of furthering the overall plot of the series. The story started off strong and then meandered aimlessly for awhile with distracting subplots that didn't lead anywhere. Enjoyed Lucian and Seth, though I found Malia somewhat obtuse or self absorbed to the point that she missed things that were obvious. I briefly thought it may have been her superpower. Looking forward to the next installment in the series.

What Can I Say....

Where do I start about this book....I am going to start at my overall reaction. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book. Great action scenes (which I always find are very hard to describe succinctly in a book-takes talent), character development and personalities were wonderful and storyline/mystery kept me engaged. Did I say I LOVED this book?! Lol- Lia/Seth/Luc were awesome but then you layer in all the supporting characters Tiny Rambo, Priest, Ari, Many and it took the book from a good read to great.
I liked this installment more than Hawk’s story, which I had already given 5 stars. I found so many laugh out loud passages, it became a true “end of the day” relief in stressed out times. I was able to escape for a little while, smile , and enjoy a movie playing out on pages of a book and in my mind. Towards the end of the book, I was thinking ‘oh no’ there are only a few more brothers left to continue this series, sadly it will come to an end. Then here comes DOE and I was like YAY more story potential! I truly hope each character gets their own book, right down to Tiny Rambo...by the way, that last action scene with Emory, Shep, and Seth was my favorite fight scene of the book (Malia is correct, her daughter is badass).
I would say the only area I would have liked to see expanded a bit more in this book was Takar’s role/story - I am thinking he will be mentioned again later on. He is part of the mystery surrounding the Church, but something about his interaction with Luc, Seth and Malia had me feeling like he knew Malia or had some previous connection to her. So much of the book was focused on the chase after him and his mysterious statements/phone conversations with Seth and Luc, that I would have just liked to see a bit more about him added to the story to give greater depth to the unknowns surrounding the Church. However, even this small item isn’t enough to take away any enjoyment I found in the book.
Ms. Rayne has become one of my favorite authors that never seems to disappoint. It started with Alpha (which I was hoping would be a series but did not come to pass) and has continued into this series. I would say hurry and get us Priest’s story, but as much as I want to read it, I say don’t rush perfection! Thank you Ms. Rayne for the right book at the right time!

Second in the church series. I didn't see the twist in this book until quite a ways in, as with Hawk, the flaw in the characters is well concealed. I am really liking this series so far. You have to be willing to embrace the crazy with these male characters. They all seem to be crazy on some level, which is to be expected since they work for a society of assassins. Lucien seems to have his crazy more under control than Seth, who is a full on no filter psycho killer. They both want the same woman, who they first met when they all were children. As the relationship between Luc and Malia develops, Seth keeps popping in, and someone seems to be after her. Is it because of them or is there another reason? She has a kickass grandmother and a non speaking but highly intelligent adopted daughter. Her daughter seems to have a few control issues with her temper, so Seth gets along with her really well. As the story progresses we find out what the deal is with the twins, and characters introduce in the previous book are put in play, and we learn a bit more about them as well. It's as funny as it is serious.
Now for the bad part: as with many indie authors, this book needs serious editorial work. The author consistently misuses words. Either she doesn't know the meaning of the words, or she misuses them in her everyday speech. She uses loss for lost, upmost for utmost, worse instead of worst, lied for lay, ensures for ensues, concur for conquer, and more. These errors disrupt the flow of a sentence and can actually change the meaning from what the author intended. There was even an instant when closets was used instead of closest. I hope this was a typo. Please review your work before you release it or get someone with proofreading or editing capabilities to help you out.

I really tried not to compare this to Hawk because I was wondering how TR could match perfection...
It’s definitely a must read because it conitinues the series, but it dragged a lot especially with the three main characters.
I guessed the big reveal before I even started and I think it should have been revealed earlier because it made the story drag uneccesarily. I liked Seth but he got a bad rep and I feel like he didn’t get as much development as Lucien. I liked Lucien too but there was just something off about him. Maybe a balance between the brothers would’ve been better.
I did get irritated by Malia quite a bit - too naive and a bit self absorbed. Her Emory was such a precious character. A lot of her chapters were quite repetitive, they didn’t really move the story along.
The sex scenes were great but because everything around them was kind of all over the place, it kind of ruined it for me.
I do want to note that although I appreciated having familiar characters pop up again, I don’t think it helped here, I think I was invested in those parts more than the main love story.
The last 20% redeemed it for me. Although it was a bit overwhelming (because it was so jam packed with a too many characters and multiple twists and information) I loved the interaction between Priest and his boys. Superb twists in pure TR fashion it’s unfair what she can do but the placement/structure was a bit off for me.
I would like to read Many’s book if it’s structured carefully - better than this book, his relationship with Ari was so funny, sweet and fascinating to me. Looking forward to Priest’s and Beast’s stories.

Can it get any better?

Oh yes!! It just did. This book took me through a range of feelings from stark horror with Seth's input when punishing fatally his targets to the belly rolling laughter due to the banter of both Grams, Tiana and if course our female protagonist, Malia!!
I have to admit,I was wary that this would be a manage which I just confess I really don't like but the writer was very cleverly in the way she created both Lucien and Seth both of whom are very appealing. Even Malia found it difficult at times to resist one of the twins. I am reluctant to say more but Ms Rayne created a world - a very dark world in which the Organisation ironically names the Church uses young men whom they train, to become assassins getting rid of the evils in the world. I somewhat suspect members of the Organisation including Deacons and even the pope are not as worthy or as beneficent as they should be.
The story would be better enjoyed it 'Hawk' is read first. The reader is introduced to the characters in this book and we see how they progress in book two Twins Lucien and Seth's story.
Absolutely brilliant read! Tense, atmospheric, sensual and I loved all the characters - sorry all the good characters. Emory and Grams- just loved Malia's family; Priest 's relationship with his 'boys' and Ari and Many - Had me in stitches especially ... well everything and trust me this is not a comedy!!You must read for yourself!! I cannot wait to read Priest 's story though, I think, that is going to take some writing!!
