PRICELESS--BEYOND MEASURE--KING'S RANSOM

Priceless: A Dark Bratva Romance (Ruthless Doms)
I’M HIS STAR, HIS LIGHT IN A WORLD OF DARKNESS

Oh my, Ms. Jane Henry has exceeded the level in her Bratva books with Priceless. While the story still has danger, suspense, some violence, and dubious consent, this one has a love story, one that has a man, Nicolai, who will go to whatever means necessary for a woman, Marissa.

The plot will have Nicolai as body-guard to Marissa during her years in high school, but at the night of her graduation, on the cusp of her eighteenth birthday, he gets a tip that her very being is in danger of kidnapped to pay-off a debt and taken in trade to a Virgin auction. He will take her himself without letting her know what is at stake—but trouble is following. How far will Nicolai go to keep her safe—to make her his?

“I’m a starving beast who’s longed to taste this, to command and control and overpower.”

“He wouldn’t just take me for no good reason. He would never take advantage of me. I know he wouldn’t.”

The story is two parts; the first is the innocence of Marissa, her graduation and party, with Nicolai whisking her away from danger—until they are accosted and she is taken from him, he is tossed in the river, left for dead—and must let people believe he is dead. The second part is the journey a man will take to save the woman he loves. And like the mythical Phoenix, Nicolai will rise again—Aleks Ambramov will be born, and he is coming for Marissa—but first, he must prove himself to his new pakhan and the Boston Bratva brotherhood and buy his virgin at auction.

“My Marissa. But she’s only a ghost of the woman she once was, and if I move too quickly, she’ll vanish. Here one minute and gone the next. Only we’re still ensnared in a web of lies, betrayal, and danger at every corner.”

“Has he just joined me in my prison? Or does freedom await us somehow?

Buying Marissa at auction is only the first hurdle, now I must claim her and then present her to the Boston Bratva, and from there, no one knows what will happen. Will someone there recognizes me, even though I’ve changed, will they know who she is. Have we gone from the frying pan into the fire? The story is full of twist, turns, lies, deceit, power struggles, with some violence, a love story that will include M/s, spankings, and explicit sex scenes. It is life and death danger, intense moments, and passion.

“When I unleash myself on her, and she withstands it, it helps me bear what I carry. Somehow knowing that she loves me despite my flaws, that she doesn’t cave when I dominate her, that I can let myself go and master her and she doesn’t push me away, gives me fortitude and strength. She is the calm to my storm, the still water to my rapids. It disturbs me how easily I would kill someone to save her.”

I love a story with so much suspense, passion, power, and especially when the evil one gets their comeuppance. You can’t help but love Nicolai and Marissa together and want them to find their happily ever after ending. The journey they must endure will only strengthen the love they have for each other.

“I lost you once and will never lose you again.”

While the story has the good, the bad, the ugly, you can’t help respect the Bratva and their code of loyalty. The story of Nicolai and Marissa leaves you with a smile as you cheer them on during their trials by fire. The story does not end on a cliffhanger—but maybe an introduction into the next Ruthless Doms story. I eagerly look forward to it.

Beyond Measure: A Dark Bratva Romance (Ruthless Doms)
I OWN HIM AS HE OWNS ME. HEART—BODY—SOUL

Oh my, Ms. Jane Henry has exceeded the level in her Bratva books with her Ruthless Doms series, a spinoff from the Wicked Doms series. While the story still has danger, suspense, some violence, and dubious consent, this one has a love story, one that has a man, the pakhan of the Boston branch of Bratva and the sister to one from the San Diego branch. This is an arranged marriage, and she is the price to pay off a debt owed.

“I was born into the Bratva life. I was brought into this world shackled to expectations and a future I couldn’t control. My fate is sealed.”

The story will have Tomas encouraged to marry, it is good for him, for the brotherhood, and talk is made of the money owed and not paid by Aren Koslov of the San Diego Bratva. When it is discussed that Aren has a sister, that will set the wheels in motion, and before Caroline Koslov knows it, she is on a plane to Atlanta to marry.a stranger. She has spunk and is willing to defy Tomas and raises a knife to him, but that doesn’t go well for her.

“We might as well make this clear from the beginning,” he says, almost thoughtfully. “You will not raise your hand to me, ever. You will respect me as your husband, and you will do what I say. I do not respond to ultimatums.” His voice sharpens to steel. “Now, put that knife down before you hurt yourself.”

While Aren trades his sister for his debt, his friend, Andros, is furious and determined to get her back—going as far as to have one of his men deal with her. But Tomas is a possessive man, and he protects what is his, even if they just met and married. He doesn’t hesitate to beat a man for coming at his new wife.

“This is a brutal world,” she says in a whisper. “And I will never get used to it.”

“Though I want her obedience, a part of me hopes she gives me reason to administer punishment. Pleasure and pain, dominance, and submission, the need to control and master fuels me. Deeply erotic. Intoxicating. Dangerous, if not consumed in moderation.” “You’ll be expected to obey me. I’ll demand obedience, respect, and honesty from you.”

When they arrive back in Boston, there will be a reception in honor of their new marriage that will include Bratva and important citizens. Tomas needs her to represent him well as his new wife and holds her to high standards. He has hired a team to help her prepare but what will prepare her for this new world—this life with a man she doesn’t know but now calls her husband?

“Beneath her barbed exterior, I suspect she’s a lot more innocent than she lets on. And inside, I bet she’s far more vulnerable than she cares to admit.” “Submission has many facets, though. She doesn’t cave. Not my Caroline. Though she’s learning what I like and adapting, she’s got a will of iron and a mouth to match it. Witty and sharp, she keeps me on my toes.”

“He turns and leaves the room, and I swear he takes a piece of my heart with him. I’m losing myself to him, this powerful man who commands not only an army—but me.” “Because I like when he’s in charge. It fills me with pleasure to earn his approval.”

The story has the somewhat good, the bad, and the ugly evil in the world. Caroline will share with Tomas and his brotherhood the cruelty she endured while in San Diego by her brother’s friend—and how she had no one to defend her. It will set things in motion, revenge is due, and the price will be paid, and it will be a sentence of death. A battle is coming—among various fractions of the Bratva, but justice needs to be served, and the Boston Bratva will be victorious.

The story is full of angst, acceptance, discipline, pain, erotic pleasure, and power. The chemistry between Tomas and Caroline sizzles on the pages, and they are a great match. From the beginning, even before love, he is her hero, even when she doesn’t want him to be. He will call her brother and his friend out and demand respect—or else.

“You will treat my wife with respect or suffer the consequences.”

The battle lines have been drawn, and in the end, Tomas and Caroline will only grow closer.

“Remember where I came from, and the pain of my past gives me reasons to be grateful for the simple blessings of my life.” “Sometimes family isn’t bound by blood but loyalty. Sometimes family is found, not born.”

King's Ransom: A Dark Bratva Romance (Ruthless Doms)
IF YOU WIN HIS HEART, HE WILL DEVOTE HIMSELF TO YOU

Once again, Ms. Jane Henry has spun a tale that had me captivated and intrigued as the story unfolds. Not everything is as simple as it seems, and the twists and turns along the way will keep you on the edge of your seat. While the story will read well as a stand-alone, it is a great addition to the other Bratva books in the Ruthless Doms series. Pakhan Stefan is a man of great respect in the brotherhood, both in America and Russia. But what happens when his housekeeper is found somewhere she shouldn’t have been—witnessing something she should have never seen? Now, he must make the harsh choice of what happens to her—live or die? But for now, she is his prisoner.

“My relationship with Taara—that of boss and paid staff—has forever changed. I’m not sure if I believe her. I’m not sure what will happen next. But until I do, she’ll remain my prisoner.”

The plot will begin with Taara outside in the early morning, taking pictures of flowers, but witnessing an execution and being caught in the act. That is grounds for her to be executed to protect the brotherhood—but Stefan is willing to try and learn more about Taara? Can he convince the others that she is his prisoner and he will make the final decision?

“I want to weep for the loss of the man I loved because this man is one that I’ll never love again.” –Taara

For years, Taara’s mother was the housekeeper for Stefan, but Hesther has dementia and is now in a nursing home and under the care of the Bratva, and Taara has taken over her mother’s position. She watches Stefan from afar, with love and admiration—but he doesn’t even notice her—or so she thinks. But now she has his attention, and it isn’t in a good way. Will some of the other Bratva women offer her sound advice?

“The women of the Bratva stand together. Always. But we do so in a way that strengthens all of us—out entire extended family. We do not seek to change who they are, what they stand for, or what they do. But we can join in solidarity together as one, for those times when we need to withstand the tempest, as it were.”

Questionable and worrisome things are going down in the America Bratva, and it has the others very concerned. Stefan will take Taara aboard a luxury ship, and she will pose as his slave—but the stakes are high, the danger is real—and this is no game.

“I don’t know what will happen to us next. But I do know that if I’m honest? I’m not devastated about being Taara’s master and having her by my side as my slave. The knowledge that I’m going to enjoy this may be the very thing I fear the most in any of this.”

I loved the chemistry between Stefan and Taara, and it turns when he calls her baby girl and she calls him Daddy---is this what each of them needs? Can they make this work?

“Shh, baby,” he says. “Let’s not question this. Let’s not wonder what’s happening or what will happen next. Let’s enjoy this little bit of peace, hmm?”

The story will take on life and death danger, have many intense scenes, but it also has a beautiful relationship developing between Stefan and Taara. She may be the key to solving the mystery—but how can he let her place herself in danger—knowing the stakes are high. What happens after their time in Moscow—and when they return to the states, and she learns her mother’s life hangs in the balance? Has this all be just a game—has she been a pawn for the Bratva and Stefan?

“Before Moscow, I was his captive. His prisoner. Before that, his housekeeper. What am I know?”

The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Bratva life. The loyalty of the brotherhood, but also those who are traitors. It is a life of danger, and for Stefan, it is always one with uncertainty. What will come of him and Taara? Is there a future for them?

“As the season of life come and go, an ever-changing landscape, new life comes in the spring. And with it, a new beginning.”

Are you ready for this?

1. Priceless
Nicholai is the son of the Atlanta Bratva. He's also been the bodyguard to Marissa, the daughter of one of the Brotherhood. On the day of Marissa's high school graduation party, Nicholai's sister calls to inform him he needs to keep his eyes on Marissa and not let her out of his sight Nicholai because her father is going to put her up for auction. He has spent four years protecting her. Knowing her every move, her every like, and her every dislike without ever crossing the line. Now he needs to find a way to protect her without having to tell her she is being sold by her own father. Jane Henry has outdone herself this time. It just seems each new book I read from her gets better and better. "Priceless" becomes self-explanatory during the storyline. Of course, being as this is part of the "Ruthless Doms" series, there is definitely discipline. There's also kidnapping, dubious consent, murder, lies, and secrets yet through it all, there is so much compassion, heart, and emotion. This one took it over the top for me.

2. Beyond Measure
Jane Henry takes us back to the Boston Bratva where we get to know Tomas, the pakhan. Nicholai and Marissa play a part, along with Stephan from the Atlanta Bratva in this storyline and we're introduced to members of the San Diego Bratva. This is such an intense, emotional story. I don't want to give any spoilers because as good as this is, you're going to want to read every word yourself, but trust me, you don't want to let this one pass you by. I thought book 1, "Priceless", was good. This one blew that one out of the water.

3. King's Ransom
Although "King's Ransom" can be read as a standalone, this is a wonderful addition to the "Ruthless Doms" series. Stefan is Pukhan, an older man who demands and receives a great deal of loyalty and respect both in America and Russia. Taara is his housekeeper and has loved him for as long as she can remember, knowing nothing can come of it. Why? Their social positions are so different and there is a HUGE age gap between them. Why would he even notice her? Then everything changes. The emotional rollercoaster, the drama, the angst, and the chemistry between them all bring forth all the feelings that make this book a great read. Alternating between heart pounding, tears, and the hair on my arms standing on end, This is why I'm such a fan of Jane Henry. A five-star read for sure.
