Books don’t exist. At least that’s what they want you to think.
Calessa knows reading is banned. Now that she knows she can, however, how can she stop?
The Answers, the notorious leaders of Ashkelan, are in pursuit, and Calessa has no choice but to befriend a fugitive.
You, the reader, must decide how Calessa and Axen will travel realms in search of the final answer. As they collect quotes of classic novels, the answer will reveal itself, freeing the city of Ashkelan and changing the future of readers forever.
As a prolific reader, I can go through books really quickly. This is a book for people like me. I am looking forward to reading it again to find out about the other paths. The author is a skilled writer with a good imaginaton. She provides lots of surprises.
This was a fun read! I loved reading choose your own adventure when I was younger and I think readers will enjoy the variety. I learned of the author through Instagram and was happy to support her and buy this great read.
My first choose your own adventure book, and have to say it’s pretty good how they are written.
I saw this one and like the look of it, especially as it was about readers who were all descendants from authors, they are all being brainwashed by the answers but the 2 escape to try and find the final answer to stop it all, where they go on a journey through the different camps in realms of the readers who managed to escape being captured.
I like how you can pick your own journey, and great things is there are many possibilities of how it go while finding quotes from famous books which help along their journey.
Will definitely be picking up other choose your own adventure books
Could be great. There are story ideas that seem intriguing but there is zero threat and the story feels incredibly rushed. I feel like it could have been significantly improved if there were either more intermediate choices or choices that gave real threat to the characters. No one likes to flip back and restart a section because you died, but there needed to be some sort of increased tension to the journey.
It was a really great concept, but I just don't think it was executed well. Unlike the other choose-your-own self published novels I've read, this one created a really complex and interesting world with a tied through theme and multiple legitimate endings, but it just couldn't follow through on the large, complex concept.
It was still a fun world to explore, and it's really nice easy reading.
