About the author

Karla Lopez is an independent writer and romance lover. She’s debuting her first novel Illusion. She’s currently living in Maryland as a college student who loves to write on her downtime. She’s studying to be an ultrasound technician. Her roots reside in New Mexico and most of her stories are inspired by small towns. She has been writing since a very young age. The amount of love she has for the art is indescribable. She writes words to hope one day reach another soul. For them to find comfort in the characters she creates and find an escape in the worlds she gives life from her head. She loves music, much of the feelings she gets from lyrics are her inspiration to write her own words. Her novels will be New Adult and contemporary romance. She’s a lover of this genre herself and shares her love for reading within pictures in the bookstagram community. When she’s not writing she’s reading or spending time with family and friends.

so much angst in this book. so much emotion, pain...and so much confusion.
and why does it have to end with a cliffhanger again 😢 (I already suspected what happend, but good to have some confirmation I guess)

please kill the father off. he pisses me more off than Kyle 💀

Okay. My mind is gone for a toss. Why did Austin have to stay away!!! Why had Kyle been so obnoxious and thought he still deserved Emma after what ever the hell he did to her. Ugh so annoyed. I hate Kyle even more than Austin's dad. He is another person I'd hope would die. How can a father think so ill about ones own kid.... Id never know.

Some aspects which I didnt like were the smut scenes mostly, that is my personal opinion. Again there was a lot of communication gap but that did solve at the end as to why he kept quite but it's confusing af!!!

Need to wait for the third book now😭

This review is extremely late because I swore I copied and pasted it from my notes in my phone!!😅 But obviously I didn’t...

I remember being so sad and heartbroken at the end of Illusion because of that INSANE ending. So I was so excited to see where she was gonna take this book! And I loved it! She was able to keep you in the loop while also keeping you anticipating and on your toes. The atmosphere of this book was absolutely beautiful and just made me wanna curl up in a cabin in the middle of some forests and mountain. Once again there’s a cliffhanger that leaves me baffled and so excited to see how she concludes this series!🤍

I have so much to say but I don’t want to put any spoilers!! I loved Austin and Emma in Illusion and book 2 certainly does not disappoint!! My heart hurts so much for Emma and everything she’s gone through but she keeps going, her strength is so inspiring!! We are definately still missing some pieces of the story so I hope all is revealed in book 3 and I’m going to convince myself we get a HEA for Emma 💜
The emotions this author makes you feel are crazy, the writing really sucks you in deep. There are a couple of typo’s but nothing major, it is still an amazing read!!

𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗯:This book is phenomenal it was so real and emotional.♥
From the beginning Emma's personal battles draws you in to go through what she has been through😭it helped that her dad was caring and supportive.
🙈Austin's character continued to break me💔.
I loved his relationship with Liam and his daughter.
To see characters so broken find comfort and love in one another was magical.
Beware you need tissues to read this!!!

Ughh not me sobbing right now 😭 Once I finished reading Illusion I absolutely needed Apparition and now that I’ve read it I need more these cliffhangers at each ending are making me so emotional and anxious! I missed Austin and Emma! I was on the edge of my seat during the entire time reading! I have no words! All I have to say is wow! And everyone needs to read this series because Karla is an amazing author! 🤍
