I have a deep relationship with this book. I was lucky enough to be given the earliest access possible, as I talked with Sincerely Bluejay herself about the concept before it even came to be. I watched the seeds tumble into her mind and sprout in a whirlwind of two weeks as she raced to be published. This book has something to say to your heart, very directly, if you’ll let it. Sincerely Bluejay writes with a unique mix of honeyed sorrow and light—the stirring warmth and the bitter depths of a hot cup of tea—poignant to experience because it IS her experience, raw. Moreover, it becomes your experience as you read and the ideas and feelings subtly and gently take shape in your own life. That’s what this book is doing to me. I’ve never been impacted by any artistic work this way, and I think it’s because this book IS my friend, Sincerely Bluejay, in poetry form speaking her truth so loud, clear, and beautifully. I’ve never read something that felt like it continued to grow with me even after the end. I hope that anyone looking to grow through trauma, get to know themselves better, and find strength and hope will find this book and get to know it as a dynamic person, and not just a person, but an entity with the fullness and intimate power of its name, Dear Bouquet.
