Escaping from the life she didn’t want, Paige Harper finds her way to New York to live the one she had always dreamed of. When her freedom is compromised, she turns to her trusted friend, Nikki Jennings, to help her. Reaching out to an old friend, Nikki lands Paige a job at Hell’s Gate. Situated in a small town in Oklahoma, Paige accepts the offer as a bartender where pretty much nothing happens, at least that was until she met Hawk. The last thing Jayce ‘Hawk’ Talbott wanted was to set foot in Stillwater, Oklahoma again, but when his brother contacted him about their mother’s failing health, he had no choice but to go back. His only goal was to take care of whatever needed to be taken care of, leave, and never come back. The only problem was Paige Harper. He had to have her. There was something mysterious about her that him hooked and he was going to find out what it was, no matter what the cost. What he didn’t plan on, was finding out more than he bargained for, ultimately putting them both in danger. Will his need to have her win or will he lose her forever. Contains Adult content

My love for writing began several years ago after an early retirement from a demanding job that I loved and hated because it consumed so much of my time. Now, I can focus my time on what I love. Writing romance has been a lifelong dream and to actually say that I am a published author is beyond what I would have ever expected.
Even though some may say I have a little naughtiness in my books, I look at it as an added bonus for my readers. After all, what is a romance book without a little spice?
When I am not writing, I enjoy spending time with friends either at home or out on the town. Mostly, I enjoy a relaxing night at home where I can enjoy a glass of wine in the company of a good book.
Out of everything, she enjoys driving in her little convertible with the top down.
Poorly written suspense. Paige has moved to Stillwater because she's on the run. Hawk has returned because his mother has died. There's instalove, but P is cautious. H also likes control in the bedroom. While it was dirty it wasn't really hot. I like more dirty talk than he gave.
There were TONS of issues with the writing with LOTS of incomplete sentences/missing words. Then there's the plot. What was the point of Erica and the kid? It was a distraction that went NOWHERE. He stands to make a HUGE profit from the sale of the land.... what was the point of that?
We knew her uncle and forced fiance were trouble... but WHY, given what we were told about the law there? What did the uncle stand to gain and why didn't he just kill her too when she still lived on the island? Why would the fake fiance shoot her when she hadn't married her yet? Why was this info missing from the book?
This was a little different. Hot alpha ex military security male and damsel in distress "princess". It had an interesting story. A standalone with an HEA. Well written with good character development.
This instalment had a lot of potential but fell short because of incomplete plots & stuff thrown in that had no bearing on the actual story (Erica, son)??? It needed better editing. Could have been a winner if more thought had been put into it.
I totally loved Isabelle and Hawk’s story . It was an interesting storyline and intriguing characters. A very sweet love story that kept me turning pages until the last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read
Wow, another awesome book in the Jagged Edge series. I love the raw emotion of the characters and the fairytale endings. So good that I had to binge read to start the next one in the series..Sly
Started out really well but then fell apart for me as it turned too much fantasy and seemed to jump all over the place very quickly. The editing could have been better also.
Hawk and Paige have all the fireworks together. Yet there's something Paige isn't telling him. When it all comes to light, the suspense ratchets up. I really enjoyed this book.
Wow, it is rare that I find it difficult to finish a book but this was just painful. Poor story development and predictable romance story lines were the norm in this book. Glad I did not pay any money to read this book.
Another awesome book by A.L. Long. Hawk is a sexy alpha man who is a little skiddish of love. More of a one night stand kind of guy. Until he meets Paige. Then it all changes. He feels things he isn't used to feeling. But along with Paige comes the unknown. This book is full of hot action. I can't wait to see what comes with the next book!
