Award-winning author of the Independent Press Award for Distinguishing Favorite. Recipient of the National Indie Excellence Award for Erotica Romance.

My love for writing began several years ago after an early retirement from a demanding job that I loved and hated because it consumed so much of my time. Now, I can focus my time on what I love. Writing romance has been a lifelong dream and to actually say that I am a published author is beyond what I would have ever expected.

Even though some may say I have a little naughtiness in my books, I look at it as an added bonus for my readers. After all, what is a romance book without a little spice?

When I am not writing, I enjoy spending time with friends either at home or out on the town. Mostly, I enjoy a relaxing night at home where I can enjoy a glass of wine in the company of a good book.

Out of everything, she enjoys driving in her little convertible with the top down.

This was my first book from this series and I know it sounds weird reading book 6 first but that's what i did. After reading this I will be going back and reading 1-5. This is a standalone. I had no problems following and understanding who everyone is. This book was action packed from beginning to end. I felt for Emma. All she wants is to prove herself and make money to have a good life. While working at the hotel, a temptation is placed in front of her and she takes it. It has deadly consequences though. I loved Emma's character. She held close to her past and what happened to her mom and kept going forward. It was hard at times but she did it. She also trusted someone she shouldn't have but that's what made this book so action packed. Gainer is part of the security team. He has a sordid past which comes back to haunt him. Him and Emma meet and things start falling into place. Sure her conscience is eating her alive and the fact that her friends are gone, she still trusts him with her life. These two have serious chemistry. Sure Emma keeps her secret but as soon as things bad, she opens up what she did and so does Gainer. It does have some very sweet moments, mostly between Gainer and Emma. There was a lot about Emma that I could relate to, she wears her heart on her sleeve and because of that she's very trusting..which gets her in trouble.. hence me. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read more from this series!

I discovered this author when I read Ash a while back and I really like the flawed characters. Now having read this book, you don't get more flawed characters than Lou and Emma. I mean we meet Emma when she steals from a hotel guest and then when help is offered to her, her attitude was that she didn't want handouts.

I guess my mouth dropped open at that point. And my first thought was:

Girl, you think stealing is better than taking charity? You're screwed up.

And she really was. But I understood her journey and why she felt that way. When you've been fending for yourself in difficult situations, the independent streak can become a tunnel that narrows your outlook.

Gainer isn't much different in terms of flaws with his back story but he lives by a set of rules that would seem to clash with Emma's outlook.
Yet when the two of them meet, you could so easily see them falling in love. Lou is just what Emma needs but what would he do when he finds out her secret.

As usual, the author delivers a sweet and steamy story line, with characters you can relate to and suspense that keeps you turning the pages. I love that you can read this as a standalone and not feel too lost when you meet secondary characters from the series. Happy to recommend.

This was a good romantic suspense with an intriguing story line. I loved Lou/Gainer and Emmy, both came from difficult pasts and were battling to overcome them. The chemistry between them was spicy, and I thought Lou was so very sweet and caring with Emmy. I wasn't a huge fan of the way the dialogue though; it felt a little stilted without some of the necessary contractions in normal speech patterns. But the story itself was really enjoyable. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I am just so devastated that I have finished reading this book. Absolutely loved reading Gainer as well as well as the rest of the jagged edge series. Took me away from the day to day living to a world full of alpha male and hot and steamy romance.
My only disappointment is that there is not a lot of reference to the earlier couples. It would have been good to see what happened with their relationships and the children including Rade and Dylan. Can't wait to see if there is another book in the works.

I found this book to have a very intriguing story line. Loved the chemistry between Lou and Emmy and the action packed story line! Unfortunately I did think some parts where stilled and the conversation/ dialogue did not flow very well into the story, but it was a very action packed story! Defiantly worth the read guys and am looking forward to more books my a.l long

So this is book 6 in the Jagged Security Series and the first I have read from this author. There was no confusion with the characters from the Jagged team, even though this was my first exposure to them. The storyline was fast paced with action, intrigue, mystery, murder and steam. I will definitely be going back and reading the previous 5!

I'm enjoying this series and I enjoyed the plot of this one but given the background of our two main characters I expected a more emotional journey. There are a lot of typos (missing words), the conversation is written word not spoken word and I felt the ending was a little rushed but overall an enjoyable read.

Lou and Emma have pasts they'd rather stay hidden. They may need to come clean with each other to get the bad guys. I loved their story.

I really enjoyed this installment. Emma & Lou seem like an unlikely match but somehow it just works. Lots of action!
