Wolf Hunted is the third book in the Beta Wolf Academy series, it was filled with danger and drama and I loved it.
Lexi has been through a lot these past few months. Just as she was getting used to life at the academy she was kidnapped, then her sister Alyssa was murdered, things have been building up and it's getting harder for Lexi to cope with everything. Lexi is strong and she carries on but how much can one person take.
In this one there was some relationship drama with Lucian, where his past clashes with Lexi's heritage and causes things to be strained between them, however things with Dimitri and Chase are still great and the connections are all there, it's just Lexi and Lucian need to work things out.
Then the unthinkable happens when Raphael’s little minions strike again and again and this time. Lexi somehow is at the center of it, she stepping up a little with her sister becoming an example for them, working with Rose and Katherine on the attacks. Lexi is finding a voice and shockingly enough opening up to others about what's happening in her life instead of hiding behind half-truths and omissions. I loved seeing her friends rallying around her, seeing them support her, and help out.
The mating bond is really in action in this book not to mention more science connected to the mating bond is shown, how Lexi and the guys connect. This book had one major surprise that had me a little shocked, I wasn't expecting Lexi to turn into a badass, but she did and now I wonder what it means and hope that JJ dives into it in the next book.
Wolf Hunted was a great read and it looks like Lexi's story isn't over with yet, because some critical information was uncovered that is quite disturbing and it seems like it's Lexi's fate to be a part of what's happening, with her mates by her side I'm sure she can make a difference. Up next in the Beta Wolf Academy series is Wolf Rising.
Wolf Hunted is book three in the Beta Wolf Academy series. It is an awesome read and dramatically progresses the storyline. In Wolf Hunted, we see Lexi really coming into her own and embracing who she is. She has so much to overcome in this story, and she will need the help of her three mates to do so. She struggles with deep guilt over the death of her sister Alyssa. Accepting any help, especially from her mates, Chase, Lucian, and Dimitri difficult. Lexi realizes that she can get by when she speaks up and with a little help from her friends! We even see some tension develop between Lexi and one of her mates, which gives things an edge of realism as they definitely have to work things through if they will be successful as mates.
This drama-packed book also has much suspense, action, romance, and some darkness as the legacy of Raphael continues to haunt Lexi. She remains a strong and intelligent woman, growing in her role and confidence, so we know she will get through. I can hardly wait for book four in the series Wolf Rising.

Review: 4.5/Stars My heart broke for Lexi, and the death that all the LaFlamme sisterhood have felt throughout these intertwined series. Lexi, is truly a voice of wisdom for someone so young, and speaks out to the Female Alpha with ease. Its amazing to see each of the sisterhoond grow into their own now that most have broken from Raphael’s and his demented armies clutches. However, not all past are easy to get over. Lucian’s family was killed by Raphael (the wolf hunter) and he is not a fan of the LaFlamme’s. Even if they are Lexi’s messed up genetic family. This story like all of the others becomes deep, twisted and pulls at every emotion throughout the book. JJ King is amazing about creating a world with layers and layers. Every time you think you have something figured out, it changes. I really enjoyed this book, with the strong MC’s and supportive side characters it keeps you engaged (even if the spice is mild and fades to black).
Lexi can't catch a break, despite being surrounded by her the mates, friends who have her back, an impromptu support system of sisters and strong women. The fact that her own male blood line wants her dead, and her fellow sisters as well, makes it hard for a girl to relax. Not to mention the unspeakable horrors she's endured the past months. Coming in to your own can be hard, losing yourself in the madness of it all can come too easy. Trusting your inner wolf to help you balance the scales may be the only link to survival.
The battle contin.ues with the brothers from Raphael. They continue to hunt and kill or attempt to kill the sister born from Pierre LaFlamme. Lexi and her Mayes become primary targets beca.use of their unusual situation. Lexi has managed to succeed and make friends. She found mates and is doing well in school. Her siblings are locked mentally in the past unable to break the chains of their previous life. Lexi and Rose are the only true survivors.
This gave a whole new meaning to missing your other half. To see what she was going through and not able to use and understand fully the bond that they shared was a roller-coaster ride. Seeing her put everything on the line for them and going feral.... with an epic fight scene!

Lexi and her mates have even more danger, adventure, and drama surrounding them. Lexi has been through so much and then her sister Alyssa was murdered. Everything is piling on top of her and it is getting much harder for Lexi to deal with it all. Will all of this anxiety finally be the breaking point that sets her loose?
Book 3 fills in a lot of the plot and story line, but more importantly shows that love and support can bring you from the dark into the light. Lexi finds herself and stands with her mates. A must read, bring on Wolf Rising. I highly recommend this book and series.
More danger follows Lexi and now her mates. I’m so hooked on this series that I couldn’t stop reading. It was very interesting and I love all the characters. I can’t wait too read what will happen next.
Wolf Hunted, the third book of the Beta Wolf Academy series, is an ebook I downloaded from Kindle Unlimited. Fast-paced, twists and turns aplenty, and a great ending surprise. The energy and momentum of the first books shows no signs of letting up--I enjoyed the read.
There are no words to describe the turmoil in this book. Lexi and the guys face some serious challenges and we are faced with another gut wrenching cliffhanger. Need answers STAT!
XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED. Lexi is a bloody mess. Whether coping with PTSD, sisters or mates. Often times the blood is literal. Yuck! Way to go all Carry when needed though.
I loved loved this book. This series is one of my favourite. It just gets better and better. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Because that ending omigods!
Thank you so much for letting me read this epic book!
Lexi and her men are working on freeing her sisters in this book. Her men are missing and Lexi must save them. There is so much more going on than they knew and now will need the next book to learn more.
