I bought both this and Moon's book, and used both to plan a (failed) trip to Utah. This book was more useful when planning excursions in the cities (e.g. plenty of reviews of restaurants and hotels). The Moon book was more useful for planning my visits to a few of the five national parks in Utah (e.g. where to stay around the parks, best times to go, lists a whole bunch of hikes, etc). Both books are packed with useful information, and I sincerely hope that I'll be able to use them next year. The map of SLC at the back of the book is pretty useful as well.
Nice discussion of the key national park experiences in Utah. Nicely done, very clear to read, and very useful. (Read in preparation for my hiking trip in August)
