As usual, Ms Noffke has written another fantastic book.
It starts off in the past showing what happened to the ‘Demon’ Riders and Dragons from the original batch of eggs – an old foe is responsible for their demise.
After some words of wisdom from Plato, Sophia finds out what happened to them and is determined to stop past mistakes happening to the Rogue Riders.
Liv asks Sofia to help her with something, but won’t say why, but it becomes clear what is troubling her – more adventures for Sophia and Liv – YAYYYY.
The Rogue Riders have taken over Las Vegas so Rudolf, Serena and the Captains have left – and moved to a destination you will have to find out when you read the book.
New dragon riders arrive at the Gullington to start their training.
Hiker asks Sophia to find an item the Castle has hidden on him – which leads to Sophia finding something else which reveals something big for her.
Plenty of action in this book, as in previous books – everything is leading up to the grand finale in the next book.
I’m sad that the next book will be the last book in the Sophia series, but I’m sure that Sophia, Liv and all the others will feature in the next series of books concentrating on the Fairy Godmother College.
Absolutely loved the back story and what lead up to the discovery of it. This one had a lot of funny scenes, some heart felt, some dangerous and some with the King of the Faeries. Loved the one with me as an ex. The detail in your stories is exceptional and I love Lun and Liv , actually I love Lun with anyone. You outdid yourself with this story.
So much is happening! Sarah is a master at holding the reins for so many sub-plots. More action, snarky humour, tender moments, and surprising twists. And what a tantalising ending!
Another fun installment in the series. I loved how Liv played a big role in this one. I feel like the best of the 2 series (Liv's and Sophia's) are merging together. Again, as is common for this series, there is plenty of action, and lots of different things happening. Some old characters resurface, along with the ones we have grown to love over both Liv and Sophia's books. Well worth the read!
Book 11 is as exciting as the others. The Rogue Riders are at it again. This time in Las Vegas. Sophia has her hands full with side quests for her sister Liv. Then , of course, is the unbelievable King Rudolf. He is my favorite character and always comes through when least expected. You have to love all of these characters and this world.
Into the breech once more, Sophia and her wise-cracking dragon tackles problems with the willing help of her family and friends, restoring harmony and love as she goes, with a good bit of ass-kicking thrown in!
As Sarah builds the story to its impending climax, we see old friends and meet new ones. Some tales are resolved and entire new ones are discovered. So wonderful, I can hardly stand it. Geeks like me find Easter eggs from other random, and nods to the people who love and support the books and the lovely author. Read these books! I dare you to not enjoy them.
This is just a spectacular series!!! And I can't believe it's almost over, with only one more book remaining. I have grown attached to all of these amazing characters and enjoy all of their crazy adventures and battles for good over evil!!! While I can't wait to read book 12, it will be bittersweet. This is one of the best series I have ever had the pleasure of reading!!!
I love this series and with each book I get more and more sucked into this world! Full of adventure we greet old friends and meet some new, there’s funny bits that will have you laughing out loud and endearing bits that will have you sighing, there’s danger and trouble and the characters are just amazing. An exciting journey that I am really enjoying!
Amazing job as always. I love following the Beaufont sisters on their journeys of self discovery. I have followed their stories since I discovered Liv’s books, and have greatly enjoyed reading about Sophia and Lunis. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all these books. They just keep getting better and better. I will be sad when this set is finished!! I look forward to the next one.
I loved this instalment in the Exceptional S. Beaufont series. The Rogue Dragon Riders are still causing problems. Sophia and the gang have to work out how to prevent the past from reoccurring and also repair the damage the Rouge Riders have done. This book has plenty of action, humour and adventure. I love how old characters make appearances, the missions with Liv, Rudolf surprising aptitude and the shout out to friends by the authors. Secrets abound, as do surprise revelations and a multitude of problems are solved but new ones are also discovered. I look forward to reading the last book in the series but I will definitely be sad to see it end.
Oh man I love these and they only get better. I love the humor within and how the characters just gel. You really do feel apart of the story. this one has a lot of back story which i think was good. It highlights what went wrong in the past. You can feel the big battle coming and who will win the demon or angel riders? It's also great how all the other creatures are helping out and slowly becoming family too. I love Lunis's humor and his jokes always make me chuckle although they are dad jokes.
The Rogue Riders are causing problems and the Council of the Fourteen are not happy. Then the ‘angel’ dragons start to come home with their new riders and things get interesting. Liv has a happy discovery that requires a trip to the Arctic Ocean.
New interesting history about the Dragonriders and Thad Reinhart.
Fave scenes: Versalie’s ‘plans’ for Las Vegas, Sophia finding the safe, the gryphowl and saving the baby narwhales.
So, there’s a point where enough is enough. After what, 12 books I can’t stand Sophia Beaufont. I loved 🥰 Liv’s series, but Sophia’s really destroyed any excitement I had about this universe. Note this is basically a rant so viewer discretion advised (I needed somewhere to rant).
Sophia is supposedly strategic but I don’t really see it. She also calls the brownies, actually Liv’s contacts her own. I feel like she’s really taken advantage of Liv. Because of Liv she has a dragon, a business, and only completes the tasks given because of Liv’s contacts. Liv is the reason she is so important! In like, the first three books she realizes Wilder was her soulmate. In less than SIX MONTHS! Also, I understand that the Dragon Elite are on top of the world, but she’s like to everyone “Actually I’m part of the Dragon Elite, you know the most powerful organization ever? [insert fake laugh]” There was a lot of talking about how much the DE (Dragon Elite) progressed but aside from them coming out of their shell, they didn’t really change. There was also a lot of talk about how much Sophia developed, and I can really see that (she didn’t develop). I feel like the Dragon Elite only focus on stuff on the political level and they don’t care about the environment. There is so much they could do to improve the environment, people’s lives, living standards for poor people, etc. They could do so much! Mama Jamba doesn’t even care about the planet. We may not even have to wait a couple centuries until this planet looks like I Am Legend (great movie by the way). Do the Dragon Elite and Mama Jamba care? No. Don’t even get me started about Lunis and the rest of those... others.
Also in the 10 book Liv’s child was constantly being called a boy, but instead it’s a girl. WTH?
Also I feel like most of the super hard “missions” were easy. Liv did a lot of work to get Sophia to where she is, instead of thanking her, Sophia, Liv, and Clark are all we love you Sophia! We’ll do anything for you. I would prefer a series about Clark instead of a girl who goes to prison a lot, gets sent to fairy godmother college as a reward (oh wait she hates romance. How convenient). Anyway that sums up my rant. Farewell till next review!
Weeping Angels. I do love when authors are obviously fans of the same things I am. It's often like discovering a bit of treasure in a book that already has your admiration. Book 11 is full of fantastic adventures for the Beaufont's and the Dragon Elite while setting the stage for book 12. If you haven't started The Exceptional S. Beaufont yet I highly recommend you do so. Quick personal note, always read the author's notes. Great insights into their writing and lives. Lots of fun too!
Don't know how you manage to write so many incredible books that not only keep me engaged but also laughing, .then holding my breath because of the intensity and interactions of the characters who I have come to feel as though they are my friends. I have Book 12 and can't wait to see how you wrap up a 12 book series like this one. I was bumming that this would be the last until I read you will be working on another Beaufont series!
This is a spin off series from the "Unstoppable LIV Beaufont"..which is a great series. The story is about Sophia Beaufont (LIV's little sis) and about her being the 1st dragon rider in 100 years and 1st female rider EvER & all of her and her dragons challenges and adventures and love..ect. I love the characters and personalities in this series and its funny. I also really enjoy how author pulls in characters from Sister LiV story. Mrs.C 💋
I've really liked this pairs writing, and look forward to the finish of the series, (not really.) The adventures, the characters, the situations, the snide comments, the witty insights into life, these are why I read this stuff. They have crafted something that brings me joy. Nuff said?
I don't think I've ever given Me. Noffke anything less than that and this book was no exception. It was a great read and I stayed up until almost 1: 30 a.m. to finish it. Can't wait for book 12 , although I'll be sad to see this series end.
An entertaining read with intriguing plots. Evil definitely exists in this world, but you always feel things will work out in the end. This book nicely disputes the idea that plots have to be dark or nasty to be worthy of adults
Having read all the Liv and Sophia books to date, I am a fan of the series . I love the characters. The plots are sometimes too silly but the dialogue is always great
Another excellent book in this incredible series. What I love is the combination of great story telling, action packed adventure romance and loads of hikarity.
