In my high school English class I was caught with a book behind the book I was supposed to be reading. Detention gave me a chance to finish them both in peace. Eventually I read so many books that they started to come back out.
By way of most of the coasts, I reside in the major metropolis of Sayre, PA with my husband and our cat that sees dead people.
So, as it turns out...I was right about this book being different than the others and better than the others! Now I'm going to say it....I hated the ending!! Hated it...but I sure do hope that this is not the last book of the series bc I need to know about the children! It is so sad how it ended and never saw it coming.
Even though this book was a good as the previous two, I'm giving it four stars due to the ending. After spending this much time with these three books, as well as these characters which have now come to life for me, I'm really mad. I won't ruin it for anyone by writing a spoiler, but ugh!!!! I loved this trilogy and got into this story in a big way! Hannah and Asher as a couple were super interesting and I'm hoping this author follows up this series with more books...
I think I wasted a few days reading this series only to get to the worst ending I've ever read. I'm 70 and, no exaggeration, I've read thousands of books in my lifetime. I really think this author just got stuck or bored and gave it a quick ending to get it published. No more A.M. Caplan for me.
My actual rating is 2-1/2 stars. This author writes like somebody who lives across the pond. They tend to want everybody to suffer. They also believe a happy ending is an affront to authors. Be prepared to be totally angry after reading this book. I am seething right now. The one thing I knew was going to happen didn’t even occur to Asher, Hannah, and Joel. Doggone Montagues and Capulets.
You need to read Books 1 & 2 to truly appreciate Book 3. The twists and turns along the way for Hannah & Asher leave you constantly hoping for a happy ending. Its wonderfully unique! A truly compelling story that I’m sad to have finished.
Very entertaining. It’s a love story for sure. I’m sure it will continue. A little too Romeo and Juliet at the end but I’ll forgive it. Not super surprising but satisfying. I definitely recommend the whole trilogy.
Great trilogy! Interesting concept, well written, characters you get attached to, intrigue that leaves you wanting but not for so long it gets frustrating. As happy as I am this isn’t yet another 26 book series I’ve gotten myself into, I’m actually disappointed it’s over. In my mind, that’s the sign of a good story. Everything was wrapped up enough that I’m satisfied with the ending, but I got attached to the characters and want to know more about their lives at the same time. I deducted 1 star because of Asher, you know what you did Caplan, rude.
OMG!!! What a horrible ending! If I had had an inkling it would end like that I NEVER would have read this series. I'm so pissed off I can't even write a proper review. I can't even imagine what this author was thinking. I will never read another book from this author!
There was no romance but a little bit of swearing.
As to the narration: Loved Eleanor Caudill's reading but even her wonderful narration could have helped the suck-ass ending!!!!!!!!
I never would have thought it possible! The third book is the BEST in this series so far!! Usually in most series by the third book the writing becomes very poor even boring. But not this series!!! SO much happens in this book it blows your mind!! And the ending??!! OMG!!!! You won’t believe what happens!! Best Series EVER! Don’t miss it!!!
I can only hope that more books will be coming! Hannah finding her children, and learning to use the gift that Asher gave her. What has transpired to the children since the death of Asher? Will Hannah find her children? So many unanswered questions. I completely enjoyed this series of books. From the first chapter of book one I was hooked!
This was the best book out of the trilogy. But I am so mad by the ending. Like raging mad. I really hope there’s another book, novella, short story or something. I really want to give it a one star just because of the ending and how mad I am. But I won’t because it was a good book minus all that. Ugh.
Ending expected or not? I've read all 3 books and though there is sort of an ending, its like those Old soap's we watched and couldn't believe that was it. I sure hope a 4th book is written or a new Series with legacy
Why?.... Just Why??? A.M Caplan shredded my hopes and joy! Such an ending, broke my heart all over... loved this trilogy! Definitely a must read! Though I would have loved someone to warn me and keep me from reading this third book! (or at least get rid of the ending)
Still well written, filled with tense situations and the wonderful love of Hannah and Asher. The ending here, however, is abominal and left me feeling awful. semi spoiler, I would think that Asher would have gotten his children before doing something irreparable.
I enjoyed the three books of Echoes Trilogy I didn't like the end because Asher got killed and Hanna didn't have her twins anymore I wish the end was a happy ending
Really good final part to this triology. I was disappointed with how it ended. I won't say why as it will ruin it but come oooonnnnn. Also, the last part opened it up to maybe have another installment maybe?
It was ok. The series was an interesting premise, but overall it was just average. I felt like the story would have benefited from a slower pace and more background and build up. The ending was also mediocre at best.
I was taken back and disappointed that Asher died. I think though it was inevitable. I was surprised that she had the babies and Joel did not know where they were. Looks like a follow up book is needed to fill in the gaps. I do enjoy a good supernatural story.
This series had me in my heartstrings. The love between Asher and Hannah had me turning the pages quicker that I would like to admit. Right when you think the storm has passed BAM another twist.
The final book in the three book series. As with the other two books, lots more running and hiding leading to a conclusion that may or may not be the end.
A sad terrible story but life continues if just memories. I will read the next book too. This book leaves many thoughts to ponder. It will linger in minds in many ways.
A masterpiece. Beautifully written and had me on the edge of my seat through the entire series. My heart and my mind crave more;I was absolutely devastated to finish it.
