This book was exciting with alot of action and adventure. This is the first book I've read by author Maurin Lee but I will be reading more in the future. This book was a dark enemies to lovers mafia romance. Savio Coretti and Natalia Fiore were perfect characters. Kudos to Lee on this original mafia suspense story that is the ultimate page-turner! This book is a must read and I highly recommend!

This book was okay, nothing special. The entire plot line has been done a million times and, in many instances, done well. I have read many stories from Mafia genre and find this storyline repeated over and over again. The stories in this type of "revenge genre" that I have enjoyed in the past had depth, strong character development, a very strong plot and was able to combine all of the above with a unique, twisted love story. Backstories were presented in a timely manner and supporting characters were introduced at the proper time. Many of those novels had characters from the original book getting their own story at a later date.

The "Revenge mafia" genre can have certain commonalities. The cast of characters may change and the reasons for the revenge may change with the protagonist in the story merely a victim because of crimes done before her birth or while she was a child and never involved in. She can be a Mafia princess that has been locked away or she can be a victim that is a pawn or collateral damage and is being sought by more than one antagonist at the same time. She can often be on the street or close to bread lines, working a dead end job with one foot into homeless shelters or locked away in daddy dearest's compound.

This story was presented as a dark mafia romance. Even with dark and very dark antagonists I need to find something that I like about the main characters. I was unable to find solid ground with either Savio and Natalia. They had their moments but a book needs more than moments for me to stay interested in the story and it's characters.

Many of you will like this book because even though the story has been repeated many times by many authors the heroine does get her idea of an HEA.

New author for me and this book is delightfully dark and ruthless with some very unexpected twists and turns. The characters are well developed and its easy to relate. The book is well written, easy to read and follow with a really good plot and story line. Savio Coretti is seeking revenge and he will use Natalia Fiore and destroy her to get to her uncle Vincente Del Toro, the only other person alive involved in his family's massacre and due to the mafia alliance's Savio is not allowed to seek his revenge against Vincente directly. As he hunts and traps Natalia, he finds out that he did not plan on the chemistry between them and as emotions get involved, things get out hand especially when Vincente steps in to get Natalia back. I really enjoyed the book and I can't wait to read more by this author.

This is a slightly dark enemies to lovers Mafia romance. Natalia and Savio shouldn’t like each other let alone love each other but their chemistry can’t be denied forever. This is an entertaining and intriguing plot with plenty of action, drama and suspense. It’s my first time reading this author and it’s a brilliant introduction to her work.

Savio has planned to get revenge on the man who killed his family and plans to use Natalia to do so. Natalia hates her uncle as well and has run from him. Sparks fly between Savio and Natalia but what will happen when she ends up back with the evil that is her uncle. Can Savio save her? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters with lots of twists and turns and plenty of steam. I liked it.

Hooked

There is always a risk with an unknown author and that's what this was for me. The story, the Unknown, the mystery the excitement pulls you in fast for a turbulent story of hate and love when in such extremes you can't tell the difference and when your on the run how can you have love ...

Good Book

Good storyline. No a cliffhanger but more to there story in book 2 I imagine. Fast read. Spoiler Alert, do not continue reading if you haven’t read. The only part that doesn’t seem realistic to me is he spends years planning his vengeance yet so easily gives up his position to save her. I’m assuming book 2 is getting his position as a capo back.

I loved this book. It had some dark but not enough to scare me off. There was drama, angst and enough heat.Savior was complex and more than even he knew and Natalie was smart and brave a heroine I could get behind!
