Christmas has arrived on Sunflower Street bringing snow, carols and fairy lights…
Roxie and Fletcher are enjoying his early retirement, taking long walks with Glenda and snuggling up to share romantic evenings together.
Lila and Ethan are practically living together now along with her cats William Shakespaw and Cleocatra. Willy's been up to his old tricks but this time, he brings Ethan a gift that he wasn't expecting for Christmas.
Joanne and Max are taking their time getting to know each other, but Max has something he's been wanting to say.
Will Roxie, Lila and Joanne's Christmas wishes come true?
Grab a mince pie and a mulled wine or hot chocolate and snuggle up with this delightfully festive read.
Rachel Griffiths is an author, wife, mother, Earl Grey tea drinker, gin enthusiast, dog walker and fan of the afternoon nap. She loves to read, write and spend time with her family.
This was the last one in the series and it's one of the best full of the Christmas spirit and proposals and babies and moving in together and being happy ever after and plenty on friendship to will the three forks gave the Christmas wish they wanted and be happy for life or not.
This is actually the 4th in a series of seasons on Sunflower Street which I have read, but could easily be read as a standalone. Heartwarming, uplifting, a little slice of Christmas cheer which is what we all need right now. The perfect sized festive mini treat.
This has been a wonderfully feel-good series, and this fourth book rounds it all off beautifully!
This time round we find Joanne in a much better place; with her finances under control she is busy saving for a deposit on her own house and is in a relationship with Max, although they are not rushing into anything. Lila and Ethan are getting closer, with her two cats taking centre stage, and over at Roxie and Fletcher's, Glenda the pug is still ruling the roost but with Fletcher's retirement they have more time to enjoy life. The residents of Sunflower Street are thriving.
Another gorgeous read in this warm series and this time round it has been sprinkled with Christmas magic! It didn't take me long to settle back into the friendships, relationships and, as always with Rachel Griffiths, enjoy the antics of the animals. The cat's names are sheer brilliance and amuse me each time I get re-introduced to them. This is a fabulous fourth instalment, moving the story along whilst keeping all the character traits. Essentially a story of three women this is cleverly expanded to encompass their family, partners - and pets - adding up to a superb conclusion. Definitely one to add to your Christmas reading list, especially if you are getting a bit stressed with it all as this will put you back on an even keel. A perfect score from me - all five sparkling stars!
Oh what a lovely story this was! I loved catching up with Roxie, Lila and Joanne. It was just like meeting up with old friends. Even though this is book four in the series I do think it can work as a standalone. However the entire series has that wonderful uplifting feel so well worth a read!
In Christmas Wishes on Sunflower Street everyone is getting ready for the festive season. Which really helped to get me in the festive spirit. Especially as things feel so different right now. It was lovely to lose myself in happy moments and see love and togetherness throughout. The friendships in this book are so special and I love how they are portrayed throughout not only this book but the whole series. Even though they may not be blood related they really are family. Looking out for each other in good times and bad. Luckily at the moment everyone is in a good place although there are a few wonderful surprises along the way which made me smile even more. With characters that you root for and furry friends with their fun antics this book provided a lovely escape for a few hours.
There is such a heartwarming feel to Christmas Wishes on Sunflower Street. It is a story filled with friendships, love and romance. So cosy and delightful! I really hope I can catch up with the residents of Sunflower Street again soon.
Great continuation in the series following the lives of the main characters Roxie, Lila and Joanne. What i loved about this book was how strong it demonstrates friendship and the strengths that it gives each one by supporting each other. A brilliant addition to the series and hence 5/5 stars. It doesn't matter what age you are, what matters most in life is your friends and family to share the good and the bad times. Great and easy to read and I fully recommend the series to anyone, you won't be disappointed.
A lovely story which leaves you feeling warm and cosy. A light read (it only took me two evenings) but thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you and Merry Christmas !
A beautiful book to complete a year od four books and i fell in love eith all three of the main characters and their pets. My only criticism would be that i felt joanne was a bit of a side character but i didnt mind too much as i love all three of them amd it was a beautiful story
I just love this book it's warm and heart warning story of love ,loss and togetherness. I absolutely recommend reading the whole series. When I finish one story I have to know what happens next.
As always like way of depicting life of characters of the book. Soothing and making reader smiling while reading. Thank you Rachel for another Happy reading
Blend of all the different characters and the festive cheer. Brightens the bleak winter and makes you cheerful and feeling festive even though I have read it in February
I absolutely loved this book, full of the Christmas spirit. Not just exploring Romance but friendship and family too. It was a really heart warming read!
Love Sunflower Street series. This is the 4th in this series. A beautifully written story of Christmas spirit, romance, friendships & babies. What’s not to love. A real Hearst warmer perfect during these dark & colder nights.
It was ok. Book 3 has definitely been the best one by far. I liked getting the pov from the 3 women but I still can't stand Roxie. I get it, her husband loves her and thinks she's hot but it's really annoying that the other women also comment on her looks and her "hotness" it just comes off shallow and makes it seem like that's all she's got going for her. On top of that she's still super annoying, the less of her the better, IMO. Joanne is still the most interesting followed by Lila.
