Excitement is an understatement when it comes to describing how I felt when this book was released. Night School is one of my favorite series that I revisit the most.

This bundle or "quilt" (as the author mentioned) of short stories was well worth the wait. Some of the most iconic scenes were rewritten in different perspectives and it gave us a little more insight into our favourite boys' (whether you were team Sylvain or team Carter) minds, and I found it thoroughly enjoyable. She also gave us a VIP pass into her previous drafts, outtakes and prequels.

I did, however, wish that there was a little more scenes written from the guys' (like Allie and Carter's first meeting) or even Jo's or Rachel's perspectives and a little less of the scrapped paranormal version of Night School. One of the main reasons why I like the world of Night School, was because of the natural aspects of the story, the probability that the whole story might be possible. That somewhere there could be a school or conspiracy happening under our noses. That it wasn't just another Vampire/Witch/Angel YA plot.

In the end, I am so thankful for C.J. Daugherty for time and effort she took to compile this "quilt" and her dedication to her fans.

Damn, this was so boring AND problematic.
Reading about Sylvain romanticising his victim blaming after assaulting Allie made me hate him even more.
Not my cup of tea.

First things first I HATE THAT GOODREADS did not provide any description or the number of pages of the book and just directly gave the publication date. Just because a book is underrated and is not a Cassandra Clare or SJM book does not mean it should be treated differently.

Other than that, this book, of course, was GREAT!!

i am always ready for extra Night School content 😍

The book gives some glimpses behind the fassades of some night school characters like Carter and Sylvain. Especially, to dive into Cimmeria by the time Isabelle, Allie's mom and Raj attended the school thereselves as students was kind of completing the picture of cimmeria you get in the original series. I didn't want that story line to end, it definetly has the potential for an own series. I would have loved to read more about cimmeria back then!

Unexpectedly also the paranormal version of night school turned out to be very special and got me after some time. The paranormal story is both, similar to the original version and completely different and unique at once.

I got curios after nearly each chapter how the story it kept would continue, which is a bit frustrating. But still it's pretty cool to get an insight on so many thoughts of cj around the night school world!

It‘s been some time since I read it but I juat recently discovered good reads, but as much as I remember it was a good idea of the author to make these short stories. You saw other perspectives of other characters in certain scenes and there also were completely new scenes and even some where the characters in Cimmeria academy have supernatural powers. It was real fun to read . It was no real book but a very interesting ending to the series!!

I loved this so much! The Night School books hold such a dear place in my heart. The parts from Carter and Sylvain's point of views are brilliant, and it was awesome to get a little insight into Allie's life before Cimmeria.

Odds and ends, buts and pieces of the Night School world that may have been, if things were different. Behind-the-scenes commentary from the author as well as some favorite scenes from differing povs. Good for the fans who wants to know more.

I had to skip Sylvain's POV and the story about Carter and Jules, but Night School 1987 and the original paranormal idea were really good. I would totally buy Night School 1987 but I am happy that Night School didn't end up being a paranormal book bc it had some details too similar to other books.

I loved revisiting the Night School world and I had no idea that it was originally going to be a paranormal serious. Now that I’ve read these stories I’ll probably reread the series again. Thank you CJ for the Night School world🫶🏻

I loved this so much!!
I am so glad that i got the opportunity to dive into this world again. I loved reading the popular scenes in other perspectives. I also loved that we got to read about Isabelle when she was young.
I was so happy but also sad reading this because as a teenage girl i loved this story with my whole heart.

I must say that i'm glad this wasn't mad into a supernatural story. I mean, Sylvain and Carter as Vampires?! That would be like twillight all over again.

I like the stort stories. It a good addition to the series and you get to see the pov of some other characters such as carter(whom i love).I would suggest you to read the short stories from the website of the author and don't actually buy it if you don't want to spend money. The book has only three or four extra stories(that aren't uploaded on the site of the author).
