‘Bound not by blood but loyalty. We live, we ride, and we die by our own laws’
I’ve always known where I belong. I was born to wear the Dirty Soul patch. Club life is the only life I’ve ever wanted. The President, Jimmer Carson, raised me like a son, and he trusted me with his family. My loyalty to him and the Souls is unbreakable.
When tragedy strikes our club, the life I thought I knew is thrown into turmoil. Loyalties are questioned, bonds are severed, and rules are broken. For the first time in my life, I feel lost
She’s a complication I shouldn’t pursue. Far too perfect to be mine. But I fear she could also be the missing part of my Lost Soul.
Lost Soul is the first book in the Dirty Soul’s Mc series.
Emma Creed lives in England and enjoys behaving like the perfect princess to her extremely tolerable husband all whilst raising 3 boys and a mini princess in the making. When she isn’t locked in her writing cave making up stories she can be found chatting on social media and wasting hours scrolling through Tik Toc.

So the first 50% is h1...she’s in love with H and he doesn’t know it. Instead he pressures her into getting him into h2’s panties. She does. We learn all of this from HER POV. Then she’s killed at the end and dies heartbroken he picked h2. H finds letters h1 wrote him and is devastated he put h1 through the process of getting him into h2’s panties. Mind just blown. He also fucks randoms on page and with both h’s knowing. This should totally be my jam...but I didn’t care for h2 and he’s unlikeable as well. I will read it next time we do a MC marathon.

So, I’m trying to gather my thoughts as I write this review. In the beginning, I had so many emotions and actions going on. The stages of these were:
1.Huh. 2.Go back to blurb. 3.Confusion. 4.Lightbulb went off. 5.Euphoria
I have to be very vague, in order to not spoil the experience I had with this book. It’s a slow burn and a book that gets better as the book progresses. The author created a world that you felt apart of. Hell, I almost felt like I was in the DC MC. I got angry, sad, hurt and happy as I was on this roller coaster ride with all the characters. For me, the way the author chose to tell the story is what also gave me that fix of satisfaction. Also, I must be getting old and sentimental, but the letters, I got a little misty eye. You know it’s a good read when the author can evoke different emotions from you throughout the story.
Overall, I definitely recommend staying the course with this one, it will be worth the journey in the end. The only torture, is the wait on the next book in the series. I am looking forward to seeing how this author will grow.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.
So the heroine dies halfway. Okay. Rubbish. That’s not what you do in a romance book. How do you expect the reader to then believe in a romance with the hero and someone else?!?!
I won’t be reading on. This series isn’t for me. I have to trust the lead characters will at least last until the end.

I should have read the blurb more closely, because I was blindsided by Hayley’s death. I’m one of those people who has a really hard time switching allegiances. So to start the book off with a very poignant view of Hayley and Jessie, and her romantic, unrequited love for him and then have him fall in love with another girl? No. Not into that plot twist. I kept hoping they had faked Hayley’s death, he’d read the letters and realize how he actually loved her too. But instead, she really was dead, he carried on with Maddy and I just couldn’t read it. I would have given less stars but I did feel a lot of angst and did skim to the end to find out how it all turned out. So that’s something...

DNF 13%. Bummer. I’ve decided to rate DNFs if they really bug me (as opposed to me just lacking/losing interest).
First off, this needs editing for verb tense consistency. Drove me nuts.
Secondly, I could not hang with the whole fake-out regarding who the damn heroine/love interest was actually going to be! It wasn’t cute. The central POV from the very beginning was Haley. And Haley and Jessie have a deep, traumatic, and sweet childhood backstory together that we have to read through the detailed accounts of…and Haley is in love with him since she was 10….and then year by year as they grow together….and you want me to buy into this foundation, only to throw the h over at 13% for some other random chick at a burger joint? WTF?
Finally, what the author has in store for the person we think is the actual h/love interest….No! Just no. Thank god I looked at a spoiler when I couldn’t believe it seemed like I’d inadvertently walked into a frustrating love triangle, only to find out the reality is much worse. Not nice!
Now, if this novel were only in the H’s POV or in 3rd person, then maybe I could get on board enough to at least keep reading, and give Maddie a chance. Maybe. But the way the author has set this up is a mess in my opinion, and rather than fostering a sense of potential romance, it gives weird insecure attachment vibes. 🤨
I love a biker book but this one was not for me. I hated Hayley and she’s supposed to be one of the main characters. I was mega confused when Maddy appeared and then it clicked what was going to happen. I looked at a spoiler review for confirmation and was right. I read lots of positive reviews so you may well love it if you give it a chance but I’ve read too many incredible biker books for this one to hit the mark.
I love MC books so when I saw this and the awesome reviews I was intrigued. There are spoilers in my review so if you’re not a fan of that you can move on now 🙂. . . . SPOILER WARNING . . . . . . . . The book started out great and I was really rooting for Hayley but around 50% she dies?? I was blindsided by her death. Why start the book in her POV if she isn’t the main h? The book fell flat for me after that. I couldn’t just switch my feelings for Hayley to Maddie. And tbh I didn’t feel any chemistry between Jesse and Maddie. I really tried to continue but I DNF’d around 70%.

Omg I couldn’t put it down. The story had its twisty, thrilling, steamy, gritty and dark side. You think you know the story and all sudden Bang. Something else come out. You will cry and l laugh as well piss off. You will understand Jessie world. But warn you once you are done you won’t be the same you be a lost soul as well 😉🥰 enjoy happy reading everyone 🥰🥰🥰ps I’m not spoil this 😈
I liked the style of writing, and characters. What I didn’t like was the actual love story. The whole book I just kept waiting for Jesse to wake up and realize he loved Hailey, and him coming together with Maddie didn’t make me feel any better. The story would have been better if Hailey and Jesse got together.

With all the great reviews I had to check this book out. I must be in the minority because this book just fell flat for me. I found absolutely no chemistry between Jessie and Maddie. I soon found myself skimming just to get to the end.
I've had this book on my tbr for quite a while and I'm so glad I finally got to it. I really enjoyed it!
Lost Soul is the first in the series about the Dirty Souls MC. These are bad guys and are unapologetic about it. It follows Hayley, Jessie and Maddy and unexpectedly turned out to be very different than how I imagined after reading the first few chapters. I loved that unpredictability and the raw emotion it drew out out me.
It perhaps started off a little slow, setting the scene and introducing a multitude of colourful and dangerous characters. However, the first twist set the story alight, and the second twist was shocking! It got better and better the more I read.
There will be triggers for some, it's bloody and has some dark, violent scenes. The clubhouse is as "dirty" as you'd imagine an MCC earning its money from mostly illegal means would be, but they are a brotherhood and fiercely loyal to their own and vengeful to those who hurt them.
I'm looking forward to what comes next, especially after that epilogue.
I'm not sure where I'm at with this book. I'm stuck in the middle. 1 - Announce triggers 2 - the Jessie and Maddy (main couple don't even get together until midway the book). I actually thought it was about jessie and Hayley. 3 - no chemistry between jessie and Maddy 4 - storyline started here (Jessie), went there (Maddy), then there (chop) and then flipped somewhere else (Ella).
The book ended. I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger because it led to another story. Nobodies story was finished. It has potential. I will give the 2nd book a try, but if it's all over the place then I probably won't finish.
A DNF for me. I didn’t find anything redeemable about the MMC. Most likely will not finish the series. I’m not a fan of guys sleeping around after they meet the FMC. Also I would have been more on board if Hayley and him ended up together. Why get us so invested in her and her feelings then half way through the book kill her? I didn’t find Maddie likable and she did basically get Hayley killed.

Okay, wow. I’m experiencing a whirlwind of emotions. This book started off as a solid four, dropped to a three, and then skyrocketed to a five star read. I don’t want to spoil anything, but this book will either be your next favourite read, or you’re going to hate it. It’s deliciously dark, with lots of twisted points in the plot. If you can’t stand a romance hero that sometimes tortures people, this miiiight not be the book for you. Jesse is such an incredibly complex character, and I loved his darkness just as much as his protectiveness and sweetness. There are also multiple heartbreaking moments throughout that gutted me. This was supposed to be a boring(ish), straightforward MC romance to clear my head after A. Jade destroyed me with Ruthless Knight. I was wrong. There is a mindblowing, life-altering twist in the middle of the book that I did not see coming from a mile away. I should have seen the signs--they were there. But I had blinders on, expecting this romance to be like your typical MC romance. That said, I’d be remiss not to point out that this book could use a little more editing. Some typos are understandable, but there were just a few too many for me not to mention it in the review. But, given that I’m still giving this book 5 stars, you can see just how little the grammatical errors affected my enjoyment of the story!
A good book to start the series. A lot of twist and turns. The three main characters Maddy, Haley, and Jesse were intertwined between a secret, an obsession, and friendship.
Their stories crossing each other leads to final outcomes, death, and second chances at life.
I will say i didn't totally love the plot behind Hailey, but it definitely was a different aspect than you read about typically.
I was actually very bored until about chapter 23, but when it picked up, whoa, it really picked up! Suddenly there was action, betrayal, kidnapping, more things I won’t say here, etc. And … suddenly the previous 23 slow-paced chapters made sense—that bit of backstory & time getting to know certain characters and this world was necessary and made this so much better.
Well played, author.
After that bit, it wasn’t the most fast-paced thing I’ve read, but it did get juicier and a bit mysterious and I enjoyed it. I’d even like to see how the next book unfolds.
Overall, well done. 4 stars.
Audio: Perfection, as usual!! 🦩
(Thanks for helping me to discover yet another awesome author!)
This is a new author out with the first book of a new MC series. This one has all the dark grit of an MC book. But it is also filled with a little bit of family--what it means to belong, and a whole bunch of angst.
Jessie was taken in by the club President and his family when he was orphaned as a young boy. He grows up in the club and he and Hayley have a brother /sister relationship at least on his end. Secretly she loves him more than he will ever know.
Lots of ups and downs and then add in Maddy as part of the relationship triangle. It was a bit too angsty for me--not my thing. I thought Hayley behaved mature at times and then I found myself double checking her age as a college student, I didn't think her behavior always matched. Loved learning about the MC and the town they live in. Loved seeing Jessie through the eyes of the women. I honestly skipped big chunks of the book and was able to keep up with the story just fine.
I am intrigued by the premise of Book 2. It may be worth a read although it looks like we may be headed back to high school for this one.
*Complimentary copy provided for and honest review.
So this book was really like nothing I've ever read before. Not sure if it was in a good way or a bad way, but regardless, it was definitely a 5 star read. Let me explain: The story was seriously well written. Character development was awesome. Interesting storyline. Lots of angst if angst is your thing. Starts off like many stories about unrequited, young love and you definitely think you know where the story is going. So you're just reading along and about 30% in, you feel like something's a little off. And then 40% in the story takes a hard freakin' right hand turn that you know is coming, but don't see coming. Can you recover from it? Yeah, it takes about 10% in and then you'll be all in.... but maaaaaaan, that twist. Argh. I almost didn't recover, but I did. And it was SO worth it. Can't wait to read the next one!
Ugh... at 20% and despise where this is going !Wish I had read my friend Nancy's review beforehand. The girl who should be the h,who has loved him since childhood, the Pres's daughter dies saving the chick he lusts over!?? Nope...And dang if I didn't purchase the now non refundable Audible version! Anyone unaware, if you don't use a credit, can't exchange or return.😜

Lost Soul by Emma Creed grabbed me from the very first page and refused to let go. This story is dark, emotional, and beautifully human in all the ways that matter. Jesse, Maddy, and Hailey aren’t just characters you read about — they’re characters you feel. Their pain, their pasts, their loyalty, their healing… it all hits so much deeper than I expected.
Jesse’s struggle with his own demons gutted me. Watching him fight for control, for redemption, and for something good in a world that’s hurt him over and over again was powerful. And Maddy? I absolutely loved her quiet strength and the way she sees him — the real him — even when he can’t. Their connection is messy, intense, and so heartbreakingly honest that I found myself rooting for them with everything I had.
One of my favorite parts was how Hailey fits into their story. She’s this unexpected anchor, pulling both Jesse and Maddy into something that feels like family… even when they’re terrified to believe they deserve it. The way Jesse protects her — especially in the scenes where his past collides with their present — gave me full-body chills.
The tension, the secrets, the slow unraveling of the truth… every chapter built on the last until it exploded into an ending that made my heart race and my eyes sting. Emma Creed delivers the perfect mix of grit, emotion, and redemption, and I devoured every word.
If you love stories about broken people finding something worth fighting for, Lost Soul is a must-read. Dark, tender, and unforgettable. 🌑❤️🔥
I loved the mc plot in this book. I loved a lot about the book actually. I even cried reading it. The writing was pretty good too. What I didn’t like was the chemistry between Jessie and his HEA. I did not feel it. Spoilers . . . Hailey was literally pushed aside by everyone. She was done so so so wrong. She may have been a bit bratty, but it was because she wanted attention. I really felt for her. No firsts, no love, just a sad little girl left alone. She did whatever she could for Jessie and she loved him. Even if she did have to give him up, I wish she had been able to have a small bit of happiness. From Jessie, her dad, other club members.. literally anyone. And don’t get me started on the epilogue. Everyone has replaced her. Nobody actually cared enough about her to ever do right by her. That was the sad part. Not her loosing the guy or even death. It was that she was just tossed aside. And then we had magically innocent Maddie. I felt no emotional connection with her at all. Nothing. I didn’t feel the chemistry between her and Jessie either. Besides being beautiful and innocent and a hacker.. she was just the cliche. I didn’t feel anything for her and Jessie by the end of the that sucks.
Idk. I liked the book and I’m absolutely ok with MC’s dying and non hea’s. But there needed to be more chemistry between the couple and I really didn’t get that at all.

In this first story of the Dirty Souls series, Emma Creed takes love, angst, and heartbreak to a whole new level. My heart shattered, and was then put back together, only to bring me crashing to my knees before lifting me up again.
The story takes place with the Dirty Souls MC, and all the wild debauchery that comes with it. Once tragedy hits the Club, things change, hearts are broken and alliances are questioned. All leading to an incredible HEA that you won’t soon forget. Well-developed characters and backstories leave you feeling EVERY, and I mean EVERY, emotion that comes through Emma’s words. This Club has left a mark on my heart and I cannot wait to read the next one! Highly recommend!
Holy roller coaster ride. If you are looking for your next raw and gritty MC look no further. Emma Creed did an amazing job building this new MC world. Prepare yourselves for ALL of the emotions you will be going through. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will most definitely feel rage. When you think you have things figured out another wrench gets thrown your way. I enjoy reading a book where the twists and turns keep me on my toes. The deceit that takes place will leave you wanting more. I know sounds crazy, but trust me there are more than a few secrets that are running rampant within these pages. I need the next book ASAP!
Lost Soul is the first book in her new series, the Dirty Souls MC, and WHAT THE ABSOLUTE HELL?! This book has so much to unpack but since I NEVER NOT ONCE saw any of it coming, I'm not naming names or giving anything away though because that would just be evil to be honest. It's all kinds of dark & twisty with a side of gritty, and you just won't know until you know. The twists are coming in hot from every direction, and there are many shocks to my system that my emotions came out to play as they shut down the f-bomb dropping. This review is totally vague because that's how it has to be as Emma Creed is diabolically brilliant & I don't want to ruin what she's penned here. I'm telling you to trust me & just hit those one click buttons as you just need to experience all the chaos for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
When i first started this story, i didnt really know what to think. We had a lot of Hayley’s pov and i was genuinely rooting for her and Jessie and kindaaaaaa made me dislike Maddy… 🫣
This book made me feel so many emotions, I cried, i laughed and i was on the edge of my seat for most of it
The way Jessie loves his people and fiercely protects them makes my heart squeeze
Ive been told many times, that I will fall in love with every mmc in this series but really???? Can anyone really top Jessie??? Nah, hes a winner
