Midwest Monsters #4

Claus and Effect

Rate this book
Anya – There’s something strange going on in Fayshore. I came to Michigan to visit my grandma for Thanksgiving. But the whole town is giving off super weird vibes. Everyone is pleasant enough, but I definitely feel like an outsider. Good thing I found Nick. He’s on vacation here, too. Though, the more time we spend together, the more I feel like he’s hiding something as well. Nick – The holidays are my busiest season. I try to take a week off before the madness starts, and this year I decided to visit Fayshore. Ever since they came clean as a community about their supernatural status, every preternatural creature on the planet has wanted to visit. Myself included. It was just supposed to be a vacation. But then I met Anya and now I’m questioning my entire existence. I’d never had a problem being alone before. Now, the thought of leaving here without her fills me with dread. I don’t know how she managed to turn my entire world on its head, but I know that I’ll never survive without her.

3 stars

I don't really know what to rate it, I'm between 2.5 or 3 stars, but I will put that .5 because I just love Santa romances and I need more. I am also pleasantly surprised both characters were virgins! If we get a virgin character in a romance book, we usually only get one, but I always enjoy it when both of them are virgins and figure out between themselves what's good and what's not.

It was funny and the whole air about this novel was funny. It's obvious this has books before this one because there are characters that already found their soulmates and you get to see them again in this one. They all live in a supernatural town where supernatural creatures live! Santa Claus aka Nick our hero is vacationing there before the Christmas season begins. That's when he meets his mate, Anya. It's inta-love obviously for both of them. They have a spark, magic is working between them, both of them have waited their whole lives for this.

It was okay and a fun story as I said before. I'm glad I got to read this because Santa romances are becoming one of my fave themes right now.

This was another story from the Midwest Monster series. So after the big reveal and all the witcy witch of Midwest got their mates, I guessed Dakota Rebel gave us the other loving "monster". And the 4th was already jumping into Santa finding his mate. Go big or Go home, I spposed. The story was short with limited background story. So, despite that it claimed that it could read as standalone, you beter read the previous 3 books before reading this one. Else, you wouldnt get the whole story and it would be less warm and tingly for you.

Fated mate universe
One mate for life
Safe read
No cheating, No exes
No drama/angst
Overall score: 3.5 santa romance stars

A wonderful Christmas story

Such a great Santa Claus meeting Mrs Claus story. Only Dakota Rebel could write a wonderful love story of how Nick Kringle met his mate Anya. It’s also great to see the other characters from the Midwestern Monsters series.

I would really love to visit Fayshore and meet all the monsters 😍. I highly recommend the whole series.

Cute unique Santa Story

I was excited to read this book as part of Dakotas monster series and I wasn’t disappointed. Anya was adorable and Nick checked all of the boxes as a silver fox. This was a really fun story to read to get into the Christmas spirit!
