I should know, I finally have it. After fighting for my deepest desires for so long, it feels more like a dream than reality. But when I start to get comfortable, I’m reminded of one last task that needs to be done.
Only, things don’t go according to plan.
From the shadows, old and new enemies spring forth, bent on destroying what I worked so hard to create. It’ll take everything I have, and my unbreakable bond with my life mate, to keep everything from falling apart.
And destiny isn’t done with me yet.
The fate of the timeline is at stake, and at the end of all this, I may never be the same.
Shannon Pemrick is a full-time USA Today bestselling author of slow-burn romantic fantasy, fuller-time geek, and dragon obsessed. She also has too many novelty mugs, not enough chocolate, and a forbidden love-affair with all things shiny. When she's not burning her fingers across a keyboard handing out adventures and HEAs, she's rolling dice and getting lost in RPGs or searching for brides for her dragon overlords.
All good things come to an end, but then hopefully so do the bad ones.
This is book six of the series, and the conclusion. I do not recommend starting here.
This story offers an interesting blend of science and magic, with fantastic creatures and technology existing side by side, but I don't really think of it as urban fantasy, more SF meet fantasy, if that makes any sense. In any case, the story is well written and generally easy to read with a diverse cast of well developed characters that have detailed backgrounds which make them real. The setting also is nicely done and well detailed by this point in our story. Overall, this book provides a fitting conclusion to our story.
Highly recommended.

I’ve loved the Experimental Heart series and am, quite frankly, astounded that Shannon Pemrick was able to come through yet again with a continuation that’s still top notch. Yet that is indeed what I found with Reborn (Book 6). Yes, there’s romance (a bit of fun for our heroine as she gets two guys) along with fantastic arc, and a wonderfully done plot that is superbly written imaginative fun. This book is easy to highly recommend, though for newcomers I’d recommend starting with book 1 as this is not a series you want t to miss any part of.
An epic war. Eira needs all the help she can get to stop Kir and Celeste. She will need the gods and goddesses, the spirits of the deceased, demons, and dragons known and unknown. And she will learn secrets, both good and bad. And along with her growing abilities, people she thought were lost forever will be born again. First, there are so many damn characters it's not even funny, and they're all forgettable. After a few months between book 5 and 6, I could only remember the most important ones. It should have been quality over quantity. Second, the first half of the book, almost, is just one giant, boring reunification between Eira and said numerous characters. That was too boring, so I skipped to the end... which sucked. Sorry.
When I started this series, I didn't know what I was in for. Since then, every time I've started a book, I've been up til 5am reading it almost everyday until it was finished. Rip my sleep. I absolutely adore the way Shannon Pemrick introduced the world and the characters. She made me cry on multiple occasions. I've loved reading every bit of this series and can't wait for the sequel!
I've enjoyed all the books in the Experimental Heart series and Reborn is no exception. We learn more about Eira and her past lives as well as more about the mates, family and even several new characters. The battle was well described, but I more enjoyed the scenes afterwards. I look forward to reading the next series.
After reading this sixth volume of this series I am reminded that Shannon is a top notch writer. I love the storyline, action, and emotion. Kudos to Shannon.

this story is AMAZING! Loved the whole series, but this story wrapped up one story arch. I'm hoping that Ms. Pemrick writes more about these characters, and we can have even more fun with this universe.
I really enjoyed reading this book, the world was interesting and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. It was a fun read and it left me wanting more from this world.

This entire series is so engaging. The story is beautifully written and you find yourself actually caring about the characters. I want to know what happens next. This book series was a world I didn't want to leave.
An absolutely wonderful ending to the series. This book really brought a lot together and made me bawl my eyes out. I cannot wait to read more from this wonderful author.
