There's a price on Robin's head, one that has attracted a gang of ruthless mercenaries who are determined to track him down and hand him over to Guy Gisborne. So Robin is hiding out by the sea, but trouble has a way of finding him. Before long he is helping to rescue refugees and trying to avoid the attentions of Customs and Immigration officials. Then he and Marion discover a people-smuggling operation: desperate people brought into the country to work in slave-like conditions making cheap goods. Robert Muchamore was born in Islington, London in 1972. He still lives there, and worked as a private investigator up until 2005 and the critically-accepted release of Maximum Security.

The Hunger Games phenomenon is part of the huge YA / Children's book explosion that has grown, thanks to the British Rat pack of YA authors, Anthony Horowitz, Robert Muchamore, Mark A. Cooper and Charlie Higson. We owe much of the hunger games sucess to authors such as Robert.

Robert was inspired to create the CHERUB series by his nephew after he complained about the lack of anything for them to read. CHERUB: The Recruit was Robert's first book and won the Red House Children's Book Award 2005 in the Older Readers Category.

Following the last book in the CHERUB series, it was revealed that a trilogy would be released starting from August 2011 that will focus on a new set of CHERUB agents centred upon Ryan Sharma and also involve an sixteen year old Lauren Adams. The first book will be called People's Republic.

Check out the Hendersons Boys series. Henderson's Boys is a series of young adult spy novels written by English author Robert Muchamore. The series follows Charles Henderson, the creator of the fictitious CHERUB organisation.
CHERUB is currently being made into a TV series.

Summer holiday

A good slightly shorter book. This book is not quite as action packed as the other books, but it does give z bit of a chance for character development.

I like the Sumner break idea. I also like the fact that Robin is slightly older and adding to his training. Both physically and his hacking/inventing abilities. Though remembering that he us still a young boy starting his teenage years the mood swings, noticing girls and growing into himself.

Now that the simmer is over I am looking forward to Robin and Marian being involved in the heists, adventures, and general misadventures.

* You need to read the previous books to fully understand the background of this story.

Since he is being hunted by an elite soldiers, after the bounty on his head, Robin and Marian are send to the Eastern Delta for the summer. They hope to lay low so the storm can blow over and they will assist some friends in the meantime. But staying out off trouble is very hard to do when they stumble upon a human trafficking ring, who build their empire upon the lives of refugees and slaves.

This is the first entry in the series that goes a bit beyond the surface of Robin Hood and shows us a bit more of his personality. Don't get me wrong, this entry is still very action-packed and one big thrill to read, but there is a bit more to it and I really like it for that. This entry made me giggle and it was a bit more violent than the previous books, but it stays a great, short read that will keep you on the edge until the very last page.

I thought this was a great book, full of humour and recreating the robin Hood story well into a modern background. In this particular one, Robin is on his way back to Sherwood forest and unfortunately does not get a showdown with Sheriff Marjorie(that would’ve been REALLY cool) but instead get timmy- tough knuckled dpwn by guy Gisborne bc he wants his revenge for getting old school shot in the balls with a bow and arrow. This was really good but unfortunatelyRobin didn’t get to erase ‘destroy Sheriff Marjorie’ off his bucket list, making the book a lil bit more boring. Overall, I gave this book 4 stars.

it was a little bit boring because the storyline was repetitive and monotenous. it was like the other books but i did enjoy reading it at 12;36 am because in couldn't go to sleep because i was too hot because i have too many stuffed animals and blankets in my bed. L

Yah, best to date with a tighter storyline.

Would anyone know why this quintessential UK story, with UK author, has to pander to the American market with a President and dollars instead of a Prime Minister and pound stirling? So unnecessary and annoying.

Robin is again in hiding now that the Sheriff of Nottingham Marjorie Kovacevic, and Gangster Guy Gisborne have teamed up laying a large bounty on his head.

They underestimate Robin’s friends though, who are one step ahead of these villains. Far from Loxley and his enemies, Robin spends his time working on improving his strength, fitness and body mass with the help of his friend and host Diogo. Diogo’s cabin is in a remote swampy area, far from trouble.

Robin is supposed to be staying out of trouble and view, especially as an operation to catch him went terribly wrong for his enemies. One of these enemies escaped capture by Robin’s allies. His name is Bullcalf, and he’s extremely dangerous.

Along with sheltering Robin, Diogo is part of a group called Delta Rescue who help refugees looking for a better life or a new home, saving them from the corrupt CIS (Customs and Immigration Service) and two years imprisonment. Robin and his best friend Marion Maid from Sherwood Forest are soon caught up in a mystery, involving CIS. They believe they have stumbled upon a people smuggling ring.

Meanwhile, Bullcalf has been alerted to Robin’s whereabouts, and he’s on his way.

Robin and Marion are grounded for racing into trouble on their own on Diogo’s dirt bikes. Still, they want to know more about a boat and refugees they’ve seen. They come up with another plan, this time with the expertise of another friend, Neo.

This time, Police, CIS, Arrows, Internet fans and Jet Skis are involved and they make an epic escape . Robin gets a glimpse of his fame on t-shirts and other Robin Hood Merchandise available out there, part embarrassed and mostly pleased. His escape, the resulting people smuggling rescue and aid from Marion Maid’s father and Bikie Gang Leader is filmed, both by the public and a keen reporter and ring-in camera woman – growing his fame even further.

But everyone has forgotten about Bullcalf…

A beginning with an update on the previous two books in this series, launches the reader straight back into the narrative.

The action intensifies the further you read in this 3rd adventure of Robin Hood. At only 13 he has a huge bounty on his head, but is surrounded by caring, but incredibly capable adults in keeping him safe. If only he wouldn’t keep diving into trouble! He means well though, and when he sees something as cruel as people smuggling – is keen to do something about it.

Using tech to beat his enemies, archery to flee them and courage to fight them, results in gripping, adrenaline pumping attacks and escapes. He’s not on his own though, with his Sherwood Forest friends at his side. The surprise of Bullcalf and a bigger surprise for Marion is unexpected and gruesome. Great stuff!

4 and a half stars

If you’ve read my reviews of the previous two Robin Hood books, this one is pretty much the same, except a new setting. And being more of the same is definitely not a bad thing in this case.

Robin Hood, now 13 years old, has stirred up quite the ruckus in his last two capers. To the point where Sherriff Marjorie and Guy Gisborne have sent hitmen after him. They know he lives in an abandoned shopping mall in Sherwood Forest, which is now an armed and guarded shelter for those on the lam and outside of the sheriff’s tyranny. So to protect Robin, he heads out to everglade land, living with a kind smuggler and dealer named Diogo, with his sort-of girlfriend Marion always around to assist.

The other Robin Hood books were about stopping corrupt cops, sabotaging slimy events, and slow steps to dismantle the lives of the bullies. Let’s just say this is primarily about a mission involving refugees, rescuing them from whoever is holding them captive for slave labor, and also keeping them away from border enforcement. If border enforcement is any different from their captives.

Let’s just say this book continues the saga, with lightning-fast getaways, some needed humor when things get rough, a return of the funny but questionable biker gang headed by Marion’s father (there’s something about a biker gang who takes pride in not showering rescuing trafficked refugees that just tickles my amusement bone), and a sense there’s a lot more to be had. I’ve got the next four books already. I can’t wait. (I've since read all 9 that are currently out.)

This book was amazing, the plot of moving to another place where Will's wife ran an operation where Robin's presence was needed was a great plot move. Some parts of the book made me gasp, laugh like a lunatic, smile, and made me feel emotional. It was so wholesome to read this book.

Looking forward to starting the next book

It was great to delve back into the world of Robin Hood. His adventure this time was a little different but also touched on important notions and was still cool nonetheless. Not a lot to say with this review, but it was fun, which is what this series is all about.

How does Muchamore do it? You can feel the slime, smell the stench and buzz with the adrenaline as 13 year old Robin Hood and his 'bestie' Marion Maid, try to evade the kidnappers who aim to deliver Robin to the evil Guy Gisborne. Love the plot, and the characters in this high-octane series, and can't wait to read Book 4!

This was so much fun, absolutely crazy but I think it worked in this book unlike the last one. While I like little John, it was better following a singel story line with Robin
